Hi there everyone! It’s Cheryl again today. I have a fun little Halloween 3D project for you today. I used an svg file and my Cameo to cut it out. The rest is Kat Scrappiness dies. Hope you like!
I printed off some digital paper from my stash and then cut out the file using my Silhouette Cameo. I then used KS Never Ending Square dies and KS Fancy Scalloped Stitched Squares. I cut a window into one side using the square die. Then I cut a square using the scalloped dies and centered a smaller square from the Never Ending dies to create a frame for around my window. I put vellum on the backside and then glued the frame around it. I also cut square mats and fancy scallop pieces to create panels for the other three sides. I used foam squares and liquid to glue to attach.
I then pulled out a stamp that says Boo and cut that using a Lawn Fawn die. I added that with foam squares and then liquid glue to attach to each side. I scattered around some sequins and then put a battery operated tea light inside. I tied it shut with some lime green ribbon.
I pulled out a dark orange ink pad and did a bit of inking around the edges of the box to cover over any of the white core of the paper. I don’t like to see that, lol.
So that’s it for me today. You can use any of your digital cutting files and then jazz them up with stamps and dies. It’s the best of both worlds, stamping and dies, and electronic die cutting machines. Who says you can’t do it all, lol!
Hopefully this little clip shows the flicker of the battery operated tea light.
