First, let’s start with the stitched heart background die and some beautiful blue card stock. After running this through a die machine, it’s time to add some shadows to work on the spotlight effect. I used Black Soot distress oxide ink to darken the edges of the background.
While the background was drying, I die cut the “love you” die from Bristol smooth paper. Next, I ink blended with a darker color at the bottom fading to light at the top of the letters. I used Festive Berries because it matches the clay heart embellishments that I am going to use.
After I finished the ink blending, I glued the sentiment to the vellum shadow. Next, positioned it in the center of the card and added clay hearts around the sentiment.
