    Rainbow Hearts Slimline

Hello Friends Waleska Galindo here, today I wanted to share a very colorful card using the Intertwined hearts Die.  This beautiful die can be used in many different ways specially for shaker cards but today I used it on a different way, I hope you like it and can be inspired by it.

    CARD DETAILS:

To start my card I die cut the intertwined hearts three times with white cardtock and adhere them together to create dimention.  I then inked the inside parts of the hearts with rainbow oxide ink colors: Candid Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Lucky Clover, Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet and Kitsch Flamingo.  They look beautiful!! I then splash some water and some sparkle watercolor.

I cut the back of this die and adhere everything together.  I cut a Slimline panel of the Stitched Scalloped Nesting Slimline die and used the same colors of the hearts on this panel.  I cut a card base and add this panel.

Finally I added some Sparkling Clear Jewels around the hearts and added the sentimet. I love how this card turned out!  Remember you can find this and many other amazing products at the shop.  Have a lovely day!

    Creating a Spotlight Effect

valentines card, valentine's card, love you, Kat Scrappiness, Nicki Hearts Cards

Hi, everyone! This is Nicki from the design team here at Kat Scrappiness. I have a full instructional video on the YouTube channel so make sure to check it out.

First, let’s start with the stitched heart background die and some beautiful blue card stock. After running this through a die machine, it’s time to add some shadows to work on the spotlight effect. I used Black Soot distress oxide ink to darken the edges of the background.

While the background was drying, I die cut the “love you” die from Bristol smooth paper. Next, I ink blended with a darker color at the bottom fading to light at the top of the letters. I used Festive Berries because it matches the clay heart embellishments that I am going to use.

After I finished the ink blending, I glued the sentiment to the vellum shadow. Next, positioned it in the center of the card and added clay hearts around the sentiment. I hope you enjoyed this project! Make sure to check out the YouTube video for all the details. Please click through the links below if you are going to the store today. • Stitched Heart Cover Plate die cut-4.25″ x 5″
    • Shaker Element
    • Sentiment
    • Sprinkles

    Card Details

    • Cut a piece of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb paper for a top folding A2 card, measuring 4.25″ by 11″.
    • Score at 5.5″ and fold.
    • Using a piece of the same card stock use the Stitched Hearts Cover Plate and die cut your main card panel.
    • Using the large plain heart and medium heart dies from the Heart Donut Builders set, tape together and cut 5 frames for your shaker element.
    • With the large heart die cut 1 large base for your shaker element. Using the same die cut a heart from the acetate.
    • Four of the frames are adhered together and glued to the heart base. Set this aside to dry.
    • Adhere the top frame to the acetate and set aside.
    • Shake some of the XOXO Sprinkles into the base of the shaker element. Make sure they are level with the frame and don’t overfill or the element won’t shake.
    • Add glue, carefully aroung the base and adhere the top frame and acetate. Put an acrylic block on top and allow to dry.
    • Now for the main card panel! Using the masking paper cut 3 pieces of 3″ x 3″ squares. Die cut the large heart from each.
    • Place the open heart masking paper on to the die-cut cover plate where you want them. I left a bit of space off-center for the shaker element.
    • Carefully ink blend the heart area, make sure not to go outside of the masking square. You may use post it notes to cover areas of concern. Use the colors of your choice. Allow the panel to dry.
    • Find a coordinating piece of scrap paper for your sentiment. I used the stamp Sprinkled with Love from the For the Love of Donuts stamp set. Prep your card scrap using the Telescopic Embossing Powder Tool.
    • With black ink and a stamp platform (or just an acrylic block) stamp your sentiment. Add clear embossing powder and heat your sentiment.
    • Use the Block Sentiment Dies to cut your strip.

    Card Assembly

    • Add double sided adhesive and a bit of liquid glue to your cover plate. This allows you to wiggle the panel into place.. Center this on to the top folding panel.
    • Add liquid glue to the back of your shaker element and adhere to the area you want it to be.
    • I cut a bit off the edges of my sentiment and added foam tape to the ends. Liquid glue was added to the shaker heart where the sentimet will sit.
    • I added a few sprinkles around the card base just for fun. That’s it, card done!

Hope this card inspired you to make some valentines. Stop by the Kat Scrappiness Shop to pick up all your Valentine’s Day products. They are beautiful and will be used for years to come!

    You’re A-Glaze-ing!

Hello KS fans! It’s Maria here with you today with another Valentine’s inspiration, showcasing the Heart Donut Builder Dies, along with the For the Love of Donuts Stamp Set, Distressed Edge Nesting Slimline Dies and the Heartfelt Wishes Slimline Paper Pad.

Here’s how I made the card:

    • Use the Heart Donuts Builder Dies and die-cut different colors of card stock.
    • Create texture to the heart shaped-glaze by using an embossing folder and dry-emboss all of them.
    • Assemble the donuts by adhering them with liquid glue.
    • Use one of the heart dies and die-cut the sprinkles on some dark pink card stock.
    • Adhere the sprinkles on the donuts with liquid glue.

    • Die-cut the pattern paper from the Heartfelt Wishes Slimline Paper Pad. Adhere the same on some slimline card base measuring 8 1/2 by 7 (folded on the 7 inches side).
    • Cut some Neenah solar white card stock measuring 8 1/2 by 3 1/2. Create the white frame by using the second biggest die from the Distressed Edge Nesting Slimline Dies.
    • Add foam adhesive to all sides and adhere on the slimline card base for added dimension.
    • Foam-mount the middle donut on the card and adhere the rest with liquid glue.  [Designer tip: make sure you are not covering the frame]
    • Before stamping the sentiments, use the Telescopic Embossing Powder Tool with Retractable Brushto get rid of static.  I do this even when I don’t need to emboss my sentiments.
    • Stamp the sentiments on the frame using the For the Love of Donuts Stamp Set with Black ink and stamp the little hearts with red and pink dye inks.
    • Finish the card design by using the white gel pen and add some dots and stars to the donuts for added interest.

Who’s getting excited for Valentine’s Day?!  Have you decorated yet?  I hope you like my card today and got inspired.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Thanks for stopping by today and happy crafting!

Melted Metal Heart Valentine | Layered Heat Embossing

    Hello crafty friends!

It’s Alicia a.k.a. Crafty Al here to share a look at the quick and easy card that I created for Valentine’s Day using some of the new products from Kat Scrappiness.

I created a piece of custom cardstock by double heat embossing it using Versamark and Detail Gold embossing powder. These pieces then got cut using the melting / frosting die from the Scoop of Love die set and the word die from the Love You Sentiment with Shadow die set.

The “melted metal” top got placed onto the solid heart from the Scoop of Love die set and this piece was adhered with foam tape to the card base which already had a piece cut using the Stitched Hearts Coverplate die. I added the sentiment with help from some press-n-seal and then decorated with red and pink hearts from the My Valentine enamel dots.

You can check out my video for the full process…

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed today’s card!

    Quokka Valentine Mini Slimline

Sheri here today with a a SWEET Mini Slimline card!

For my card I pulled out the Valentine Quokka stamp and coordinating die set along with a bunch of dies to create this card using my favorite Valentine color combo (Red, Pink & White).

    Steps to Crate Card:

    • Create Red Mini Slimline card base: 3 1/2″ x 6″ (3 1/2″ x 7″, scored at 3 1/2″ on the 7″ side).
    • Cut two White Frames using the largest die in the Mini Slimline Tri-Frame die set.
    • Cut Pink Panel slightly smaller than 3 1/2″ x 6″ and use to the Stitched Hearts Coverplate to add texture.
    • Cut small Red Strip 3 1/4″ x 1 1/2″ to anchor your Quokka and sentiment. I them cut a angle at the top for a little interest.
    • Cut Silver Glitter Card stock strip 3 1/4″ x 1/2″. You will add this to the very top of the Red Strip.
    • Cut 3 Hearts in Red Felt from the Say It With Hearts die. To add a little support I cut of 3 additional Red Hearts from card stock and attached them with glue. I also cut out the smallest heart from the Layering Heart die set for the quokka to hold.
    • Stamp Quokka from Valentine Quokka stamp set and color with your favorite coloring medium. I used Gina K. Designs Amalgam Obsidian ink as it is alcohol friendly and colored with Copic markers.
    • Stamp Sentiment on a scrap of Black card stock and emboss your sentiment with White Embossing Powder. Then trim out with the smallest die from the Boxed Sentiment Strip die set.
    • Assemble card. For the balloons attached the twine to the back of the heart for the strings.
    • For embellishment I added a few 4mm Metallic Red Solid Heart Sequins. I also added a pink clay heart from the Hearts Sprinkle mix to the small heart the the Quokka is holding

I just LOVE the texture that the felt added to the card along with the stitched background!

Here’s a list of the supplies I used from the store.

    Quokka Valentine’s Day Card!

    Good morning everyone!

Tasha here sharing a sweet Quokka themed Valentine’s Day card created with items from the Kat Scrappiness Valentine’s Release!

The background was created with the new Stitched Heart Coverplate Die and I used the Stitched Heart Die Set and Stitched Scalloped Heart Die Set for the center. The pretty pink pattern paper is from the new Spectrum of Love Slimline Paper Pack and I think the floating heart pattern looks awesome with the scalloped frame!

Check out my full tutorial on the Kat Scrappiness YouTube Channel!

    [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLU_2_buYEo]

The cute little Quokka is from the Everyday Quokka Stamp Set and these glasses are too adorable! To make him more festive, I attached a layered heart between his paws and glued a little clay heart to the center. I like the pop of teal!

For the sentiment, I used the new Love You Sentiment w/Shadow Die Set. The pink glitter layer sparkles in the light and I think glitter makes everything better! For the ground I used the Stitched Slimline Hill Die Set to cut a piece of light green paper. The pink and green color combination looks great and the stitched design coordinates with the other dies used.

Lastly, I added several pretty Sparkling Snow pearls to the background before attaching the card to a white A2 sized card base.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and are inspired to create a Quokka-themed Valentine’s Day Card!

    -Tasha
