Hi there, everyone!
Today’s card was made playing with the Distress Oxide Inks. I had a small piece of acetate or plastic packaging that I used to create the rainbow design. All you have to do is simply smoosh your ink onto the plastic, spray lightly with water, and then go directly onto your paper. The Distress Oxide inks do not move like regular Distress Inks. When using regular Distress Inks you can move your plastic to spread pigment and water where you want it. With the Distress Oxide Inks…pretty much where you lay down the plastic is where the color will be. They were super fun to experiment with!
For the greeting, I cut out a black heart using the Kat Scrappiness Double Stitched Heart Dies. The sentiment is from the Hero Arts Thank You Messages Sentiment Set. This stamp set has all sorts of “thank yous” in different fonts, as well as, many different sayings. I used an anti-static powder tool to prep the black card stock. The message was stamped with Versamark Ink, coated with white embossing powder, and then heat set until smooth. To finish off the little heart I added white stitching with a gel pen.
The beautiful sequins used on this card are from one of Kat’s new mixes. It’s called Neon Barbie and contains many beautiful pink and clear sequins along with stars. I used both large clear and small pink glitter to layer the sequins onto the heart. I love the way the pink glitter sequins add just a little something different!
