Hello everyone! Today I am going to share with you how I made a really simple shaker card using the Stitched & Layered Christmas Tree Die by Kat Scrappiness. So let’s get started!!!
I started by doing some ink blending using Distress Inks. I traced around the Happy Holidays word die by Kat Scappiness so I knew where to blend my colors. I used Barn Door and Abandoned Coral for the “Happy” and Evergreen Bough and Peacock Feathers for “Holidays.” After my blending was complete I die cut out the sentiment.
Next I started to assemble my shaker component of the card. I used the Christmas Tree die to create the window. Then I adhered a piece of acetate to the back of the die cut panel.
I added cut strips of foam tape to the edged of the tree openings and around the edges of the die cut panel. Then I added some sequins from Kat’s Let It Snow sequin mix. I love this mix because its filled with little snowmen and the colors are Christmas themed with out being too tradition. They are great for shakers!
Finally, I added the card base behind the shaker element and adhered the word die on top of the tree. I love making shakers and just wanted to share how easy they are! I hope you got some inspiration and make a shaker this Christmas!
