Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. Birthday Essentials was released yesterday and today’s card is featuring it. Below I will show you how to create a Bokeh Background using Balloons instead of circles and the steps to make your own card.
Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 7” x 6”, score at 3 1/2” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (Mini Slimline)
Step 2 – Trim White Cardstock to 3 1/2” x 6”. Apply Inks of your choice in circles. I used Distress Oxide Inks using a Domed Foam Applicator is colors Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo, Dusty Concord, Wilted Violet and Villainous Potion. Diecut Birthday Essentials (both Balloons) to use as a stencil using the negative space. Place it on top of the inked background and apply White Pigment Ink using a Foam Applicator. Do this to the entire background. Tip: Add Ink to Acrylic Block and dip the Domed Foam Applicator to the ink on the Acrylic Block. This will prevent your ink pad from being contaminated with other ink colors.
Diecut Mini Slimline Double Stitched to the background created and adhere to card front using Bearly Art Precision Glue.
Step 3 – Diecut Birthday Essentials in Cream Cardstock for the cake base, Dark Pink Cardstock for the icing, Black Cardstock to the cake holder and Dark Pink Cardstock to the candle and Orange Cardstock to the flame. Apply Distress Oxide Vintage Photo to the case base edges. Trim a bit off the cake case and adhere cake base and cake holder to the card front using Bearly Art Precision Glue. Adhere the icing and apply Glossy Accents. While wet sprinkle glitter and let dry. Use a brush to remove the excess glitter. Add Black Cardstock to the backside of the candle and add the flame and adhere to card front.
Step 4 – Diecut Make A Wish w/Shadow (words only) using Black Cardstock and adhere to card front using Bearly Art Precision Glue.
Step 5 – For added interest and shine randomly adhere Raspberry Delight Pearl Mix using a Pick Up Tool and Bearly Art Precision Glue.
