    Happy Halloween

Happy Monday everyone!  I’ve got a fun and spooky mini slimline Halloween card to start off your week.

I started the card by ink blending the front panel of my slimline card (3.5 x 6 inches) with distress oxide inks – Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, and Black Soot.  I used a spray bottle on the panel to make the panel splotchy.  I then die cut all the pieces (except the pumpkin) from the Crafters Essentials Halloween die set.  I inked up the edges of the tomb stones with Black Soot and did a little ink blending on the moon with Wild Honey.  I adhered the tree, fence, and moon directly to the panel with liquid adhesive.  I added dimensional adhesive to the tombstones and bats.  I stamped my sentiment – Happy Halloween – from the Toil & Trouble Layered stamp set to finish the card.

    Thanks for stopping by!

    Thanksgiving Gnomes

Hello Friends!  Today’s post features a sweet Gnome couple and a Cheeky Turkey!  I’ve created a fun Thanksgiving card using the “Thanksgiving Gnomes” Stamp Set.  This set does have a Coordinating Die Set also.

I’ve colored the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and fussy cut them.  I don’t have the coordinating dies but the images are easy to cut out.  Before adhering to the card base, I popped the characters up using craft foam for that bit of dimension.  The papers are from the Echo Park “Celebrate Autumn” 6×6 paper pad.
Lastly, I’ve added some translucent gold sequins for shine and called this card finished.  The turkey is my favorite; his expression is priceless….I think he’s a bit P.O’d.
I would like to remind you of the Adhesives Sale that is valid until 30 September.  Kat Scrappiness has a whole line of adhesives and they’re all On Sale!
Thanks for visiting.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

    Trick or Treat

Happy Thursday Friends! Sheri here today with a Spooky Cute Halloween Mini Slimline card featuring the NEW Dress Up Quokka stamp set and a bunch of the new dies from the September 2021 Release!

Before we get started I wanted to share that Kat Scrappiness is having a SALE on ALL adhesive! It’s the perfect time to stock up especially if you are planning on making holiday cards. Click HERE to start shopping.

I don’t know about you but I love creating Halloween Cards!

Think I will tuck a little money in this one for my son (he’s 22) and he can treat himself to a little something!

    Steps to Create Card:

        • Cut Black Mini Slimline Card Base: 6″ x 3 1/2″ (6″ x 7″, scored at 3 1/2″ on 7″ side).
        • Cut a piece of Pattern Paper from the Boo To You paper pack: 6″ x 3 1/2″.
        • Die Cut Web and Small Spider in black card stock from the Creepy Crawly die set.
        • Die Cut Gray card stock Bat from the Crafter’s Essentials Halloween die set.
        • Die Cut House in black card stock from the Home Sweet Home die set. Cute the Roof Line, Windows & Door in Black card stock and the Spooky Fence in Gray card stock from the Haunted House Add-On die set. You will also need to cut orange card stock to insert behind the windows and door.
        • Cute two White Ghosts with the Boo-gy Ghosts die set.
        • Stamp a Dress Up Quokka and pick a costume from the Halloween Costume Add-On stamp set. Color with your favorite medium and assemble.
        • Stamp and emboss sentiment from the Toil & Trouble Layered stamp set in white on black card stock. Trim to a sentiment strip.
        • Assemble card. ( I first trimmed the house down to 3 1/2″ wide to fit the front of my card and then assembled the rest of the pieces to create my house and scene)
        • For embellishment I added googly eyes to the ghosts and spider.

Before I get started I wanted to let you know Kat Scrappiness has a sale on ALL adhesive, its a great time to stock up if you are planning to make holiday cards.

For my first card I created an A2 size card. I am using the Christmas Wishes w/Shadow Die, that I die cut with mirrored cardstock and added it on vellum. I then cut strips from the KS A Cozy Christmas Slimline Paper and Cuppa Christmas Slimline Paper and added it to the base of my card that I die cut with the KS Embossed Edge Rectangle Die and finished the card off adding some KS Ocean Blue Pearl Mix.

For my second card I created an A2 size card. I am using the Happy Holidays w/Shadow Die, that I die cut with glitter cardstock and added it on the glitter shadow. I then cut strips from the KS Sugar Plum Faries Slimline Paper and added it to the base of my card that I die cut from the KS Stitched Rectangle Dies and finished the card off adding some KS Plum Pearl Mix.

    Merry Christmakah

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. Today I am so excited to share a card using the new Merry Christmakah with Shadow die. I have been wanting this die for a long time. In my family we have mixed marriages and combining two holidays with one die will make my holiday cards meaningful. Below is the steps to create your own card and I have a matching mini slimline envelope card as well.

Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 7” x 6”, score at 3 1/2” and fold in half for a horizontal top fold card. (Mini Slimline)

Step 2 – Diecut Mini Slimline Double Stitched using Pattern Paper from your stash. Adhere to card front using Bearly Art Precision Glue.

Step 3 – Stamp Dress Up Quokka using Gina K Amalgam Ink on White Cardstock. Color image using alcohol markers of your choice. Diecut with matching die.

Step 4 – Stamp Ugly Sweater Add On (sweater and image inside sweater) using Gina K Amalgam Ink on Patterned Paper. Diecut with matching die.

Step 5 – Stamp Christmas Costume Add On (tree) using Gina K Amalgam Ink on Patterned Paper. Diecut with matching die. (At the moment there is a digital cut file). Adhere the tree and Quokka image with the ugly sweater to the card front using Foam Tape.

Step 6 – Diecut Merry Christmakah using Vellum for the Shadow die and Patterned Paper for the word die. Adhere to card using Bearly Art Precision Glue.

Step 7 – For added interest and sparkle adhere Red Rose Pearl Mix to the trees and card and Gold Mine Rhinestone to the top of the tree.

Step 8 – Diecut Happy Mail Mini Slimline Envelope using matching Patterned Paper. See below for photos for assembly.

I love having a matching envelope to go with my card. It adds a personal touch with the work that went into your card. Below is a link to all the products used. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
