Happy Halloween

Hi everyone. I’m so ready for fall weather, we are still in the 90’s here in Oklahoma!

For today, I’ve created a fun shaker Halloween card.  I love making Halloween cards – I think it’s the colors I love so much.  Kat Scrappiness has some great sequin collections that are perfect for Halloween cards.  I’ve used Going Batty Halloween mix for my card today.

I started the card by cutting a frame from black card stock using the Double Stitched Rectangle dies and the Stitched Rectangle dies.  Using the same black card stock, I die cut the tree and bat from the Crafters Essentials Fall die set and the spider web border from the Halloween Borders die set from Kat Scrappiness.  I also die cut the moon from the Crafters Essentials Fall from orange card stock.  I added a little bit of black ink to the edges of the moon to darken it up some.  I attached the spider web to the back of the frame then adhered an acetate sheet to the back of the frame.

For the background, I used a piece of purple patterned paper and adhered the tree, moon, and bat.  I also adhered a couple of the bats from the Going Batty sequin set directly to the background.  I adhered this directly to the card base.  I then added sequins from the Going Batty sequin mix and attached the frame using dimensional adhesive.

I used the Happy Halloween sentiment from the Toil and Trouble Layered stamp set.  I heat embossed it on a piece of black card stock using white embossing powder.
