Ink Blended Rainbow Get Well Card

    Nicki Hearts Cards

Hi, everyone! This is DT member Nicki of Nicki Hearts Cards here with a cheery ink blended rainbow card. Make sure to hop over to YouTube for all the details on this card.

Let’s get started with the colors you will need to create this beautiful rainbow.

distress oxide, rainbow card, Kat Scrappiness, Nicki Hearts Cards

I did a diagonal pattern with my stripes to add extra interest.

Once the ink blended panel was finished, I added some shimmer spray. The shimmer is beautiful on this project and really adds to the design.

After the panel dried, I used the fall foliage die to cut the pattern. I peeled up the leafs to add depth and so that I could add a holographic panel beneath the leaves. I used the same holographic paper to create the sentiment.

    • So when the sequins fall to the bottom of the shaker there are still a few up above.
    • Now center your Reversed Scalloped frame and glue it down. Set something heavy on top and allow it to dry.
    • Stamp your Quokkas, the Christmas tree, and any of the other stamps you want to use in your scene. I use alcohol markers.
    • I added some glitter glue to some areas, like the star on the tree, the Quokka’s cap, the bows.
    • I added nylon string to the back of the Christmas tree with washi tape so it jiggles a tiny bit when shaken. Make sure to measure where you want your tree to sit INSIDE the shaker. Then you will add a tiny bit of double-sided tape to the middle of the frame top and bottom. Place your thread down. Make sure you have a little slack and tape down the bottom. I added a bit of the same tape on top but did not remove the backer. You will remove the backer when we add the top frames/acetate.
    • Emboss the sentiments of Happy Holidays from the Happy Day stamp set. I used white embossing powder and embossable acetate.
    • Sandwich the acetate between the two extra frames with liquid glue or your choice of adhesive.
    • Center and lay your card base down. The patterned paper, card stock, ink blended background, and frames should all be glued down and the Christmas tree attached.
    • Place the amount of sequins or glitter in the center. Carefully place the two top frames on the card base.
    • SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE!

    Holiday Shaker Gift Tag

    Hello crafty friends!

It’s Alicia a.k.a. Crafty Al here to share a look at Holiday Shaker Gift Tag that I created using some of the new products from Kat Scrappiness.

I cut two frames for the tag from a piece of patterned paper from the Ugly Sweater Slimline Paper Pad using one of the dies from the Mini Slimline Reverse Scallop set. For the clear sheets I used 2 of the Mini Slimline Acetate Sheets, cut them down to same size as frame and then adhered to the back using Art Glitter Glue.

I cut and colored 3 images from the Quokka Christmas Costume Add On stamp set and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. For my “shaker bits” I used the NEW Glistening Tinsel Sequin Mix.

As an added bonus, after the recipient receives their gift, they can use it as a fun, shaker bookmark. 🙂

You can check out my video for the full process…

    Christmas Wishes

    Hello Everyone!

Sheri here today with a CAS (clean and simple) Christmas card!

Do you like stretching your supplies and being able to use them for more than one way?  Well the striped “Candy Cane” background paper was created with the NEW Boxed Sentiment Strips die set.

    Steps to Create Card:

        • Create White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″)
        • To create stripped panel:
          • Cut 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ rectangle panel out of copy paper
          • Cut 20 (10 red and 10 white) strips using the 3/8″ x 5″ die from the Boxed Sentiment Strips die set to create your stripes.
          • Next apply adhesive to the rectangle panel and start adding your strips on a diagonal to create your background.
          • Clean up your panel by cutting it out with the 2nd largest die from the Never Ending Rectangle die set.
        • Cut Holly & Berries out using green and red card stocking with the Holly Leaves & Berries die set.
        • Cut Christmas Wishes out of gold mirror card stock using the Christmas Wishes w/shadow die.
        • Assemble card.
        • For embellishment I added a few gold pearls and some glossy accents to the berries.

Here’s a list of the supplies I used from the store.

    Easy Thanksgiving Card!

    Hi Kat Scrappiness Friends!

Tasha here sharing an easy Thanksgiving card tutorial!

The Fall-themed background was created using the accessory stamps from the Dress Up Quokka Thanksgiving Costumes Add On Set. Check out the full video tutorial!

    [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIaKUpD3Btw]

The sentiment was cut with the layered Thanks Sentiment Die. This die can be used together as shown, or you can use the “Thanks” word die alone for a different look.

Lastly, I added Jasper Stone Dual Color Peals before attaching the card to a brown card base.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

    Tasha

5×7 Foliage Frame Happy Holidays Card

Hello everyone!! Nora here on the blog today with a fun way to use your 5×7 Foliage Frame Die-turn it into Mistletoe!!! When I get a new die, I always look at it and try to come up with different ways to use it on my cards.

When I received the 5×7 Foliage Frame die, I knew that I wanted to use it create a “Mistletoe” card. Here is how I created my holiday card:

    1. I die cut a piece of Neenah White Cardstock with the 5×7 Foliage Frame Die. I then used markers to shade in the entire frame.
    2. I then die cut my frame using the 5×7 Never Ending Rectangles Dies. Since I am sending this through the mail, I didn’t want to make it a shaker card so I used a piece of the Ugly Sweater Slimline Paper and adhered it to the back of the frame.
    3. I adhered the frame and paper over a 5×7 red, card base.
    4. I looked at photos on how the berries were clustered on Mistletoe so I used Kat Scrappiness Marshmallow Pearl Mix to mimic them.
    5. Next, I used the Happy Holidays Word Dies w/Shadow to die cut the shadow out of red cardstock and the sentiment twice from green cardstock.
    6. I adhered the red shadow onto my card front, in the middle of the frame.
    7. Using Bearly Art Glue, adhered the two green sentiments together. I then glued it over the red shadow.
    8. I used Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Sparkle Markers the top of the sentiment and added some Glossy Accents over the top.
    9. To finish off the card, I used a green sequin from the Glistening Tinsel Sequin Mix for the tittle above the “i” in holiday.

I had so much fun making this card and I encourage you to look at your dies in new ways. Below are the supplies I used from the Kat Scrappiness Store:

I want to thank you for taking time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!
