    Happy New Year!

Happy Sunday Everyone! Priscilla here from Nubble  Light Designs. Today I am sharing a “New Year’s” card with all the necessary elements of the holiday – confetti, party hats, and champagne!

I used the Newton’s Nook Newton’s New Year Stamp & Die Combo, and the Kat Scrappiness “Happy New Year” Brush Script Word & Sentiment Die.

    Card Details:

    • Created a white A2 card base and adhered a hot pink smaller layer over it.
    • Used gold embossing paste and a “confetti” stencil over black cardstock to create a background.
    • Colored and die cut Newton the Cat popping a bottle of champagne and adhered to the front of the card.
    • Die cut the “Happy New Year” Brush Script Word & Sentiment Die 3 times– twice out of black cardstock, and one time out of gold glimmer cardstock and stacked them for a 3D effect,  before adhering it to the front of the card.
    • For a finishing touch, I added a champagne bottle and two glasses from the Kat Scrappiness Cheers Gold Sequin Mix in the bottom corner of the card.

    Tis the Season-of Love!

Good Morning!  Kathy from Expressive Paper here. Ok, I know we still haven’t finished the holiday season. However, I am sure you have mailed all of your cards. So I thought, “Why not get started on Valentine’s Day cards?” So let’s make a card!

    Card Details

    • Cut and score a piece of white card stock. This is an A2 sized card. I used Neenah Solar White 110lb card stock. Use the new Teflon Bone Folder from Kat Scrappiness to make perfect folds.
    • Using the Never Ending Rectangle dies select two rectangles one for your main panel and another for the black background panel. Die cut those panels.
    • Now, using the Hearts of Love Shaker Card Dies we are going to dry emboss three hearts onto your white panel. Follow the instructions for your machine for dry embossing.
    • Glue the embossed panel to the black background. I use the Gina K Connect glue.
    • Using a scrap piece of red card stock and use the large intricate die and cut out this heart.
    • Because I am doing an inlaid die technique I found some Memory Box Glitter Paper and shiny metallic red scraps and cut some of the larger hearts out from this die. Keep all the inner bits as you will inlay them back into the intricate heart.
    • Trace the outside of the red heart onto some Scor-Tape double sided adhesive and onto a piece of white card. Cut them slightly smaller than the intricate heart.
    • Remove the top adhesive backer and adhere to the intricate heart.
    • Remove the back sheet of the adhesive and then adhere all of this to the white solid heart. This will leave exposed adhesive in the open areas of your intricate heart.
    • Now inlay your bits and pieces.

    • Using the Everyday Brush Stroke stamp set, use the I Love You sentiment.
    • Using the new Telescopic Embossing Powder Tool, I applied powder to the black card stock.  I then stamped the sentiment with white ink. Then I sprinkled with white embossing powder and used my heat tool to emboss the sentiment.
    • Using the smallest rectangle from the Never Ending Dies I cut out the sentiment and trimmed it down. I cut extra black strips with this die and adhered it to the sentiment. This was glued to the heart.
    • Foam tape was added to the main black/white panel and to the heart. Both were adhered to the main panel.
    • I then added the Round Silver Confetti for a little shine.

That’s it the card is finished. I hope you find a bit of inspiration with this card. As always, thank you from the bottom of my heart for stopping by. Please drop a comment below.

    Hoppy Holidays Mini Slimline Card

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. The Merry Critters is still one of my favourite stamp set for the Holidays. I used it along with the Slimline Stitched Cloud Border and Stitched Slimline Hills dies. Below you will find the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 7” x 6”, score at 3 1/2” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (Mini Slimline)

Step 2 – Diecut Slimline Stitched Cloud Border using a scrap piece of cardstock to use as a stencil. Trim White Cardstock to 3 1/2” x 6”. Apply the diecut to the panel and using a Blender Brush add ink of your choice. I used Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass. Adhere the panel to the card front using Bearly Art Precision Glue.

Step 3 – Diecut Slimline Stitched Could Border using White Cardstock. Adhere to the card front using Foam Tape.

Step 4 – Diecut Stitched Slimline Hills using White Cardstock. Adhere bottom layer using Bearly Art Precision Glue. Stamp Merry Critters sentiment to the top Hill diecut using Gina K Amalgam Ink. Adhere to card using Foam Tape.

Step 5 – Stamp Merry Critters images using Gina K Amalgam Ink onto White Cardstock. Color in images with any alcohol markers of your choice. I used Altenew Artist Markers. Diecut the images with the coordinating dies. Adhere to card using Foam Tape.

I love using my dies to create stencils as was the case with the Slimline Stitched Cloud Border dies. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Stretch Your Dies | Winter Birthday Card

Hello! Amanda here. I hope you are well and getting everything done in preparation for the upcoming holidays. Today, I am sharing more ideas to stertch your dies using some Kat Scrappiness dies. Maybe it will even spark some creativity to stretch some other dies you own too! Let’s take a look at some finished product pictures first.

I think this card is great for winter birthdays, but could also be great for a masculine birthday card. If you didn’t do the snowflake background from the Crafter’s Essential Winter Die Set, you could color the ground cover green and it wouldn’t have to be winter themed.

I did prepare a video tutorial for you today. I hope you enjoy!

    Festive Candy Bar Wrappers

Hello Friends!  Donna W. here today sharing 2 festive projects using some fun papers and die cuts from Kat Scrappiness.  Before I get to my projects, I want to remind everyone of the Stamp and Scrapbook Expo Sale at the Kat Scrappiness Shop.  From now until the 18th of December, save 15% on all products in the Christmas – Hanukkah – New Years themed category using the code:  XMASEXPO

Now let’s get to the fun stuff – I’ve created 2 festive Candy Bar Wrappers!

The wrappers are easier to put together than you may think and make a great stocking stuffers.  These particular wrappers cover a King Size Hershey Chocolate Bar.  Here’s how I put them together:
    • Trim a piece of white card to 6″ x 7″ (or use any color you wish for the base).
    • Score on the 6″ side at 2.25″, 2.5″, 4.75″ and 5″.
    • Fold and burnish on the score lines.
    • Trim a piece of designer paper to 2 1/8 x 6 7/8 to cover the front or top of the wrapper.  For my designer papers, I’ve used snippets of card from the Kat Scrappiness Rainbow Dreams and Rainbow Confetti Slimline paper packs.
    • Adhere your designer paper and any embellishments you wish to add on the front of the wrapper.
    • Assemble the Wrapper using heavy duty double sided tape along the back seam.

For my embellishments, I’ve used the Christmas Wishes Word Die with Shadow, colored a Christmas Tree from the Quokka Christmas Costume Add-On Stamp Set, ribbon, Baker’s Twine and glitter card from my stash.  The Candy Bars fit snug within the wrapper but not too snug as to be difficult getting them in and out.
We are getting close to the big day so if you’re in need of something quick and easy, try these candy wrappers for those last minute Stocking Extras.  They would also make wonderful gifts for Teachers, Neighbors, Friends, the Postal Carrier, the Amazon Driver (if you’re like me – you’re on a first name basis with them).
I want to wish you and yours a very Happy Christmas and Joyous New Year.  May your Christmas be filled with Love, Joy and Gratitude.
Thanks for your visit!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!
    Donna

Mini Slimline Clear Thank You Card

    Hello crafty friends!

It’s Alicia a.k.a. Crafty Al here to share a look at the clear front mini slimline thank you card that I created using some of the new products from Kat Scrappiness.

For my patterned papers I used 2 sheets from the Ugly Sweater Slimline Paper Pad and the green polka dot frame on the front was die cut using one of the Mini Slimline Reverse Scallop dies. I made the clear front using a piece of ‘clear cardstock’ from the Slimline Acetate Sheet – 25 pack.

To decorate the front I used the Thanks Sentiment w/Shadow die set and some snowflakes from the Christmas Funfetti Sprinkle Mix.

To ‘hide’ the personal message from the front of the card I created a smaller inner card that was covered with the fun penguin / santa / gingerbread pattern. From the front it looks like the frame is on the inner card, but it is actually on the front of the acetate. I just love all of the layers you can get with a clear front, but without a lot of bulk. 🙂

You can check out my video for the full process…

    Merry Christmas

    Hello everyone!

It’s Donna Idlet here sharing a Christmas mini slimline card.  I love the color purple and I really love how this card came together.  It’s clean and simple but elegant.

Can you believe it is only 13 days before Christmas?  For those of you who celebrate, have you gotten your Christmas cards mailed?  I haven’t, but I have gotten most of my Christmas shopping done.

Here is my card for your inspiration:
Here is how I created the card:
    • Cut the white Slimline Card Base: 6″ x 3 1/2″ (6″ x 7″, scored at 3 1/2″).
    • Die cut the top layer using Mini Slimline Zig Zag Dies using KS Sugar Plum Fairies slimline paper pad.
    • Die cut the word die from KS Merry Christmas W/Shadow Die, using vellum for the shadow and purple mirrored paper.
    • Die cut the snowflakes from KS Build A Stocking (Christmas) Dies.
    • Assembled the card and added some KS Violet Pearl Mix.

Thank you so much for stopping by, please come back again soon!
