You Make Me Jump For Joy

Hi everyone!  I’ve got another card using the Hoppy for You stamp set and one of the new sprinkle mixes from Kat Scrappiness.  Kat released 38 new sequin/sprinkle mixes this month.  That isn’t a typo – there are 38 fun new mixes!

I stamped and colored the large kangaroo and the flowers from the So Hoppy For You stamp set with Copic markers.  I then cut them out using my Silhouette Cameo.  I die cut the Stitched Scalloped Collage Frame die from plaid patterned paper and white card stock.  I adhered the plaid frame the white card base.  I blended a little bit of Spun Sugar Distress ink directly onto the card base where the cut outs were.  I also added Spun Sugar Distress ink onto one of the inner pieces of the frame from the white card stock.  On this piece, I stamped my sentiment in black ink.

I used dimensional adhesive to add the kangaroo and the piece with the sentiments.  I then adhered the flowers directly to the card base.  To finish the card, I added the purple flower sprinkles to the kangaroo and the flowers.

I Like The Way You Roll By Meghan Kennihan

    Hi Crafty Friends,

Have you seen the FUNNY PUN Sushi Set from Kat Scrappiness? It’s called WOK On! And I love it. I don’t even really eat sushi but it’s just soooo cute and I am a sucker for puns!

    Make Crafty Friends Q & A:

Q: I want to hear your favorite pun!

A: Me? You hold the KIWI to my heart! Because Kiwis are my favorite fruit!

I started my card by coloring the sushi and yes, I had to google what it looked like so I got the colors right! The copics I used are below.

Next, I die cut my circles from the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Rope Circle dies from all different patterned papers. I then doodled the little stitching around all the borders and finished my card with the fun sentiment and the half bead pearls that are NAMED AFTER ME 🙂 Meghan Green from Ink Road Stamps.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to use the code MEGHAN for 10% off! And stop by my blog and Instagram so we can be Crafty Friends!

You Make Me Jump For Joy and I Love ‘Roo cards by Maria

Hello Kat Scrappiness fans! Maria Russell here on the blog with you today sharing two cards, showcasing A LOT of products available at the shop.

Before I start with the post, I just want you guys to know that there is a 20% site-wide sale going on and you can use the coupon code mentioned below.  Take advantage of this sale and get your favorite products while you can:

For my project today, I am showcasing the Hoppy For you stamp set, along with the Yellow Star Sprinkles, Pink Flower Sprinkles, Wood Grain Frame Die, Stitched Cloud Backdrop die and the Mandala Frame die.

I started out by stamping the images on Spectrum Noir Ulta Smooth Premium White card stock using Spectrum Noir Finesse Alcohol-Proof Black ink.  I colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend alcohol markers.  I die-cut the images using my Scan N Cut machine.

I adhered some Pink Flower Sprinkles on the mommy Kangaroo and layered the baby kangaroo inside the mommy’s pouch with liquid and foam adhesive.

The A2 size panel was die-cut using the Stitched Cloud Backdrop die and ink blended with Bubblegum, Soft Lilac and Butter Ink using some blending brushes and my Clouds stencil die.  I know you can hardly see the clouds because of the shaker elements but It’s important to me to have all those details in creating my card.  I also die-cut the frame using the Wood Grain Frame Die.

I adhered some acetate sheet and foam adhesive on the Wood Gran Frame Die and added the Yellow Star Sprinkles with Fairy Dust confetti mix for my shaker element.

I die-cut some black card stock using the Stitched Flag die and stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink.  I sprinkled white embossing powder and heat-set this with my heating tool.  I finished my design by adhering the kangaroo on the front panel.  Here’s my card:

I always LOVE making shaker cards and with the new sprinkles and sequin mixes available at the shop, it’s hard not to make them all the time.  They are super fun to make!  Here’s a closer look:

For my next card, I also used the Mandala Frame die and created a very simple, white-on white card.  The “wreath” was die-cut using a die from Hero Arts that I bought from Kat Scrappiness years ago.  I layered the flowers I colored earlier with liquid and foam adhesive.

To finish my design, I used my white gel pen to add some interest and texture on the flowers.  Here’s a closer look:

I hope you got inspired today.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Have an amazing day and happy crafting!

Hoppy for You by Martha Lucia

Hello Crafty Friends! Martha Lucia here to share a couple of projects using the Hoppy for you by Kat Scrappiness. It is a unique Kangaroo stamp set totally beautiful!

This is a card with movement. I just stamped one of the flowers included on the Hoppy for You stamp set with VersaMark ink over Pool Party Card stock and let the ink dry naturally. In a separate piece of whisper white paper I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, the small kangaroo and some flowers included on the same stamp set. After colored the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, I fussy cut them with my scissors and enhanced the border of each image with a Memento Black Marker.

I fussy cut the small kangaroo in silhouette and let the lover part to stamp the sentiment. Then I cut it like a strip to let have an up and down piece. I sized the piece and determinate where I will insert it and where to stamp the second sentiment.  When all these was made, I pasted the second layer with double sided foam tape over the card base and covered the insert line with some other images.

To create this type of cards you only need to be sure where you will made the insert cut and how long is your insert image to stop it on the insert line and on the lower part.

Now is the turn for my second card using the same stamp set, Hoppy for You.

This time I only used the flowers and leaves included on the stamp set and arranged all of them using the 4-1/4″ wreath builder stencil from Gina K. I stamped the big flowers with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, the leaves with Memento Bamboo Leaves and the small flowers with Memento Lady Bug. I colored these small flowers and leaves with coordinating colors from Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

As final touch, I just added on the center of the big flowers, Orange Jewels in different sizes and believe me these jewels definitely pop up the flowers!

Thanks so much for stopping by and keep in touch because I will posting more inspiration with the new Hoppy for You stamp set!

    Paw Print Sprinkles Shaker Card

Good morning Kat Scrappiness fans, It’s Lisa here on the blog with you today and I have a fun shaker card using some new Sprinkles that were just released in the shop!

All you need is LOVE and a dog (or a cat)……. and maybe some Paw Print sprinkles!!

Today in the Kat Scrappiness shop there are over 30 new sequins and sprinkles mixes

    that were recently released

and they are SUPER CUTE and SUPER COLORFUL and SUPER SPARKLY!!!

You are definitely going to want to check them ALL out!

For my card today I am featuring my favorite one. It’s called Paw Print Sprinkles.

HOW STINKIN’ CUTE ARE THOSE TINY LITTLE PAW PRINTS???

The minute I saw them I knew they needed to be paired with Kat’s Pet Sentiments Die Set!

They are the perfect addition to the paw print die!

    Here is the Card Recipe:

    • I started with a black A2 card base.
    • Next I took the Wonky Wavy Stitched Rectangle Dies and cut out a white layer with the largest die from the set.
    • Now I cut out 3 letters from the Large Alphabet Dies (L, V and E) in red card stock. I laid them out on my white panel so I could position the paw print from the Pet Sentiments Die Set where the O in love would be.
    • I ran the white panel through my die cut machine and cut out the paw print on a slight angle.
    • Once the paw print was cut I backed it with acetate and built foam tape all around it so I could make it into a shaker element.
    • I made sure to section off the bottom of the paw print separately from the top 4 holes so I could add 2 different shaker mixes inside the paw print.
    • The bottom of the paw got the Paw Print sprinkles and the top 4 holes got the red Heart Sprinkles .
    • I applied the shaker panel to the base of the card and added my 3 Large Alphabet Dies and the outline of the paw print in black to the front of the paw print shape.
I am super happy with how this card turned out! I just love those sweet little Paw Print
shaker bits and I love how they look inside the paw print die!

“Hoppy For You” | Creating Four Kangaroo Cards

Hey Crafters! Priscilla here! By now you’ve probably seen the new Kat Scrappiness “Hoppy for You” kangaroo stamp set. I don’t think there’s a lot of kangaroo stamps on market, so it makes this set even more special!

I’ve had such fun using this stamp set and created four cards for you today. Let’s get started!

My first card features “Kanga” deep in the jungle. (Note my “creative license” because I don’t think kangaroos live in that environment! LOL!)

For this card, I used the Kat Scrappiness “Foliage Frame” die and some patterned paper from my stash to create a “jungle” frame around the kangaroo. I used various shades of blue distress oxide inks on a fern patterned embossing folder for the background. “Kanga” was colored with the new-to-me Spectrum Noir “Tri-Blend Markers” and die cut using my Brother “Scan n Cut” machine.

I finished off the card with the “I Love ‘Roo” sentiment from the stamp set and some of Kat’s “Sparkling Clear Jewels.”

My second card features “Kanga” in the spotlight ready to present his “significant other” with a flower.

I used a MFT stencil and Distress White ink to create a spotlight on navy blue card stock. A star stencil and silver pigment ink finished the background. Once again I used the  Spectrum Noir  “Tri-Blend Markers” to color “Kanga” and the flowers, before die cutting them using my Brother  “Scan n Cut” machine.

I used Kat‘s “Sparkling Clear Droplets” to connect “Kanga” to his speech bubble.

For my third card, “Kanga” is posing for a “Selfie” with his buddies.

To make this card, I stamped “Kanga” and them masked him off and stamped the “Photo Bomb” stamp (from Mama Elephant) over the mask. I colored both the kangaroo and his friends with alcohol markers. I also used a M.E. die to cut out the image to look like an Instagram frame and found a template on Pinterest that had the appropriate symbols for the bottom margin.

I used patterned paper from the Simple Stories “Say Cheese” collection and some black card stock die cut with Kat‘s “Cross Stitched Rectangle” die for the base layer. Some of Kat‘s hearts were the final touch to this card.

My final card would be perfect for a “New Mom.”

I created a soft background with Distress Oxide inks and MFT cloud and grass stencils. Note the pouch stamped on Mama Kangaroo’s belly. This is an additional stamp in the set just for that purpose. I cut a slit in it before inserting Baby, with some flowers from the stamp set added behind. The sentiment was stamped on one of Kat’s “Stitched Fishtail Banner” dies, a butterfly from the “Crafters Essentials-Easter Edition” die set was added, with a balloon die from my stash for the finishing touch.

    Sale Ends Tomorrow!
