    Coffee Lover Gift Card Holder

    Coffee Lovers Unite!

Who does’t know someone that is a coffee addict? We all know them and think about the perfect gift for them at this time of year. Well how about a gift card to their favorite coffee shop?

This is a simple gift card holder decorated with the KS Layered Coffee Cup Die. I embossed snowflakes on the body of the cup in Brutus Monroe Alabaster Embossing Powder. I made a stitched tag stamped with a Honey Bee sentiment from the Blah Blah Blah Stamp Set. The insulated sleeve was die cut from corrugated Craft paper. A half Circle was punched in the side of the holder to make it easy to remove the gift card. How simple is this gift card holder to make? (This would be great for any type of gift card.) Cheers

    November Card Challenge Inspiration

Here is some Inspiration from me to get you started!

I used my cover plate maple leaf die from the Crafter’s Essentials Fall Die Set to cut my panel.

I die cut some extra leaves diagonally across my panel so there are more places to see the Autumn Harvest Sequins.

I added a Kat Scrappiness Acetate sheet to the top of my panel and  foam tape around the die cut leaves to keep the Autumn Harvest Sequin Mix  close to the leaf “windows”.

I stamped my “Thanks” Sentiment to my panel, then I filled my shaker with the Autumn Harvest Sequin mix.

One-of-a-Kind Thanksgiving Cards | Crafting with the New “Give Thanks” Dies from Kat Scrappiness

Hi Everyone, it’s Priscilla here. Today I have four unique Thanksgiving cards created from Kat’s newly released dies – the “Give Thanks Word Die with Shadow” and the “Give Thanks Wreath Die.” Both were so much fun to work with!

My first card uses classic Thanksgiving colors with a graphic twist– I added a bold gingham plaid shadow behind the brown “Give Thanks” sentiment for an unexpected pop of color.

The background for this card uses Kat‘s newly released “Embossed Edge Rectangle Dies” nested inside of one another and enclosed in a distressed rust border, also created from the same die set. Kat’s “Aww-tumn Sequin Mix” was the finishing touch.

I used the same die on my second card to create a “glitzy” gilded effect.

This time I adhered Nuvo copper “Gilding Flakes” on the shadow and also on the embossed edges of the card. I used the Sizzix “Botanical 3D Texture Fades” embossing folder to create a dramatic black background. Finally, I added some copper sequins from the “Going Batty” collection.

My next “card” is actually a tag created with the new “Give Thanks Wreath Die” and Kat‘s new “Embossed Edge Circle Dies.”

I die cut the “Give Thanks Wreath” from copper card stock and adhered it on a background created with Kat‘s new“Embossed Edge Circle Dies.” Once again, I added some copper sequins from the  “Going Batty” collection.

My final card features the “Give Thanks Wreath” die again, this time die cutting it from vanilla card stock before coloring the wreath only with Copic Markers. I created the brick background using a stencil from my stash and the Distress Oxide “Fire Brick” reinker mixed into texture paste. Finally, Kat‘s “Clear Sparkling Jewels” were added to the wreath.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out what’s NEW in Kat’s Shop, and follow my blog and Instagram for more “Kat Scrappiness Amazingness”!

    Haunted Scene Card

    Hello crafting friends,

Adam here with a Halloween card made with the Kat Scrappiness Stamp set Toil and Trouble. I love making Halloween cards and hope you will enjoy making a version of this card for your own collection.

I started by die cutting a spooky tree (KS Fall Elements) and a grassy hill in black card stock (Gina K card stock).  Next I stamped (using Tim Holtz Mustard Seed oxide ink) and cut out the cat (KS Toil and Trouble Stamp set) and colored it.

To create the background I masked off a section of a card front and placed a small circle in masking paper within the masked area. Now using Tim Holtz oxide inks in Faded Jeans, Dusty Concord, and Twisted Citron blended the background to create a spooky night sky. I removed the small masked circle and used the Twisted Citron over the spot forming the moon.

Stamped the sentiment (KS Toil and Trouble) in Memento Tuxedo Black ink below the blended area.

The final step is to adhere the pieces to the card front and my card is complete. Kat Scrappiness products are easily transformed into fun scenes. Share your creations with us on the fan page.

    Supply List:

KS – Toil and Trouble Stamp set

KS – Fall Elements Die set

Gina K – black card stock

    Memento Tuxedo ink

Tim Holtz oxide ink – mustard seed, faded jeans, dusty concord, twisted citron

    Pine Tree/Icicle Border die

Hi Crafters! Kat has re-released the Pine Tree Border die.  The previous die (which is still available here) doesn’t cut out the bottom border.  The new die does cut out the bottom portion of the die.  The new die, Pine Tree/Icicle Duo Border die is like having two dies in one – when used upright it cuts out the Pine Tree border and when flipped around, it creates an icicle border!

For my card today, I’ve used the Pine Tree/Icicle Border die as an icicle border.  I have been addicted to ink blending lately. I started by using various distress inks with blending brushes to create a blended night sky.  I splattered white watercolor onto the background using a paint brush to create a look of snow.  I die cut the Pine Tree/Icicle Border die twice out of white glitter paper.  I also die cut one of the snow drifts from the Crafters Essentials Winter die set using the same white glitter paper.  I adhered these die cuts to my blended background.

I die cut that background using a Stitched Scalloped rectangle die for my background piece.  I created the kraft border by using the same size Stitched Scalloped rectangle die and then used a stitched rectangle die that was a bit smaller to create the border.  I adhered the border to the background piece.

I die cut the dear from the Crafters Essentials Winter die set out of craft paper and inked the edges using brown distress inks.  I adhered the dear to the background using foam adhesive.  The Merry Critters stamp set had the perfect sentiment, My Deer Friend, for this card.  I stamped this onto the background with black ink.

I die cut coordinating plaid paper with the largest Stitched Scalloped rectangle die and adhered it to my white card base.  I then added my blended panel to the card base using foam adhesive.

The Pine Tree/Icicle Border die has so many possibilities – when I showed the design team my card, one of them said that it looked like mountains.  I can totally see that now!  Another one used the die as hair for Frankenstein.

Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!  Here is a link to the Kat Scrappiness shop and direct links for products used on this card are below.  Get in on the sale going on right now 15% off in the store thru October 25th by using code FALL15.
