    Happy Valentine’s Day

Hello crafters!  Did everyone have a great holiday?  Does any one have any crafting goals for the new year?  I’m hoping to send out more cards to friends and family this year.

I jumped from making Christmas cards right into Valentine Day’s card.

I began the card by ink blending with Worn Lipstick onto a white card panel.  I thin added score lines every half inch on the white panel and adhered it to a pink panel that has a 1/16 border around it.  I die cut a heart using the Embossed Edge heart dies from Kat Scrappiness from patterned paper.  I colored the puffins and hearts from Lawn Fawn’s Stud Puffin stamp set, colored them with Copics, and die cut them with the coordinating dies.

I heat embossed the Happy Valentine’s Day sentiment from the Say it with Hearts stamp set from Kat Scrappiness on gray paper with white embossing powder.  I adhered all these pieces onto my panel with dimensional adhesive.  I added three pink jewels to finish the panel and then adhered it directly to a white card base.

    Glitter Christmas Tree Card

Hi Everyone, it’s Tina here. I have one last Holiday card to share with you using the Christmas Tree Coverplate die with a fun technique. Below are the steps to create your own Holiday card.

    Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 8 1/2′ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2)

Step 2 – Diecut Christmas Tree Coverplate using White Cardstock (x3). Adhere all 3 layers together using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. Trace the outline of the Tree on Metallic Kraft Cardstock. Trim it out adhere to the bottom of the Christmas Tree diecuts. Adhere the entire panel to the card front using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. (If you don’t want to fussy cut you could always trim the Metallic Kraft Cardstock to cover the entire diecut.)

Step 3 – Apply Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew inside of the Tree only. While it is still wet sprinkle Glitter Powder. This will allow the glitter to stick to the Crystal Drops. Let dry.

Step 4 – Diecut Merry Christmas With Shadow Die (only the word Merry) using Metallic Kraft Cardstock. Adhere to the card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 5 – For added interest and sparkle adhere White Diamond Sequins on the areas that has a ornament using a Crystal Katana and Collage Medium.

There is a 30% off sale going on (no code needed) ending December 31st to be able to get all Christmas, Hannakah, Halloween and Thanksgiving Categories. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and wishing you all a very Happy Near Year!

“New Year Wishes” | Winter Shaker Card

Hi Everyone, it’s Priscilla here. Today I have a “New Years” card showcasing the “Winter Wonderland Shaker Card Kit” from Kat Scrappiness. On my last blog post, I used 4 of these “Shaker Card Kits” kits to create Christmas tree ornaments. Today I have a card with the shaker element adhered to the front of an A2-sized card.  Let’s get started!

To create the background scene for this card, I got out my “Distress Crayons.” I have to admit that I’ve never use these because I was never sure what to do with them. But after seeing a video from Justine Hovey, I got brave and took them out. I loved them! Using the  “Evergreens” stencil from Newton’s Nook, I “colored” a backdrop on watercolor card stock that I think looks a tad “impressionistic.” LOL!

Next I painted the front of the shaker frame with white acrylic paint, let it dry, and then adhered a piece of Crafters Companion “Luxury Snowfall Acetate” on the back in lieu of the plain acetate that comes already sized in the kit.

After adhering the foam frame to the background, now it was time to pour in the “Sparkling Wintergreen Mix” from Kat Scrappiness. I love the soft minty green tones in this mix. A perfect compliment to this winter-themed card!

Once I had adhered the painted frame over the filled base, I mounted the finished shaker onto an A2-sized card the I had colored using a bend of green and blue Distress Oxides.  I created the custom “New Year Wishes” on my computer and adhered it over the white trees.

Thanks for stopping by! Wishing everyone a “Happy New Year!”

And don’t forget to check out what’s NEW in Kat’s Shop, and follow my blog and Instagram for more “Kat Scrappiness Amazingness”!

    Soy Amazing

    Happy Crafters!

Today we have a sushi card for that special person that likes sushi and is deserving of some praise. Kat Scrappiness Wok On Stamp Set is perfect for this simple card.

I started with stamping chop sticks onto the card base to create the background. Being a bit frugal, I cut a smaller layer out of black glitter paper then cut out an even smaller rectangle to be used in a future card. Embossed the sentiment from the stamp set in Alabaster (Brutus Monroe) available at Kat Scrappiness. A small strip of glitter paper to put behind the sentiment and the white layer for the focus stamps were cut using card stock available also at Kat Scrappiness.

Now for the focus of the card and all the fun of coloring. I chose some sushi pieces and condiments to stamp, color, and cut out.

Assembled all the layers and stamped pieces to create the final project. I added a few sequins and the job was finished.

    Product List:

    KS Wok On Stamp set

    BM Alabaster Embossing Powder

KS Silver City II sequin mix

Neenah White 80 lbs Craft paper

Honey Bee Over the Rainbow paper Pad
