Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. Kat Scrappiness has quite a selection of the Slimline Nesting Dies. I used the Zig Zag Nesting Slimline die for today’s card. Below you will find the steps to create your own Sweet Birthday Wishes Slimline Card.

Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 7” x 8 1/2”, score at 3 1/2” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card (Slimline)
Step 2 – Trim Black Cardstock to 3 1/4” x 8 1/4” and adhere to card front using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.
Step 3 – Trim White Cardstock to 3 1/2” x 8 1/2” (this can be used from the excess of Cardstock from Step 1). Place a background stencil on top and secure it with painter’s tape or washy tape. Apply ink with a blending brush. I used Distress Oxide Inks in colours Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick, Mustard Seed, Aged Mahogany for the Flowers and Twisted Citron for the Leaves. I used Post it notes to mask off the areas I did not want colours to blend.
Step 4 – Diecut Zig Zag Nesting Slimline with the panel created in Step 3 and adhere to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.
Step 5 – Diecut Sweet (word die) using Orange Cardstock and adhere to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.
Step 6 – Stamp sentiment using Versamark Ink on Black Cardstock, sprinkle White Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a heat tool. Trim out the sentiment and adhere to card using Foam Tape.
Step 7 – For added interest and sparkle randomly adhere Sparkling Clear Jewels using a Crystal Katana and Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

This card can be used for several occasions by changing the Word Die and sentiment strip. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Hi Everyone, it’s Priscilla here. Today I want to share two slimline cards I made featuring beautiful, framed nighttime “cityscape” views.

For my first card, I used the new “Layered Cityscape” slimline die set, which includes a die that cuts the buildings and windows, and a second background layer die that goes underneath to the show lights in the buildings. I die cut the buildings out of black card stock and backed them with orange card stock. I blended several distress oxide inks to create the nighttime sky and used a stencil and gold embossing paste to create the fireworks. I framed the whole scene in black using the largest of the “Tri-Frame” dies and gold embossed a “Celebrate” sentiment die to complete this card.
For my second card, I used the background layer of the “Cityscape” die set and cut it out of black glitter card stock. I die cut the nighttime sky using the largest of the new “Distressed Edge Nesting Slimline Dies” and blended several distress oxide inks before and splattering it with gold “Perfect Pearls” for that hazy and mysterious look.

I added a die cut moon from my stash and finished the card with the “Love You to the Moon and Back Brush Script Word Die” die cut twice – from gold and sliver card stocks – and then layered together. I added Kat’s “Sparkling Clear Jewels” for the finishing touch to the sky.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out what’s NEW in Kat’s Shop, and follow my blog and Instagram for more “Kat Scrappiness Amazingness”!

It’s never too early to create Christmas/Holiday cards, but then I could make holiday cards all year round…they are my favorite ones to make! Kat Scrappiness carries so many fun stamps, dies and shaker elements to use for the holidays that it makes designing cards a snap!

For my card, I first created a ‘frame’ using one of the new Cross Stitched Nesting Slimline dies and one of the Embossed Edge Nesting dies that I ran through my Big Shot nested together. I then adhered a new Slimline Acetate Sheet to the back of the frame and lined the frame with double-sided foam tape. I then placed a few different shaker elements (see thumbnails below) in the opening and placed a piece of pattern paper over it to ‘seal in’ the shaker elements. This slimline shaker was then adhered to the card base.
Using the Merry Christmas with Shadow dies, I cut red glitter cardstock for the words and vellum for the ‘shadow’ and adhered to the front of the card. The fun and festive Santa gnome is from the Christmas Gnomes stamp set.
