    Merry Christmas – Shaker Card

Hi everyone!  Did you know that Kat Scrappiness has shaker kits?  I created my card for today using the Merry Christmas Snow Globe shaker kit.  The kits come with everything you need to create fun and fast shaker kits.

I used foil to cover the top portion of the shaker.  I then adhered the clear acetate and foam adhesive (included in the kit) to the the back of my front panel.  I added sequins from these mixes – Red Christmas, Jolly St. Nick, and 4mm Gold Hearts.  For the back piece of the shaker, I added gold glitter paper from my stash.  I die cut a piece of red glitter paper using the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle dies and layered it onto the same gold glitter paper.  I added this panel to a white card base and adhered my shaker to the card.

Be sure to check out all the shaker kits available in the Kat Scrappiness shop.

    Thanks for stopping by!

Have A Bee-utiful Day Slimline Card

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. The Bumble Bee Sprinkles are so adorable and I knew it would go with the Slimline Foliage Frame Die. Below you will find the steps to create your own Have a Bee-utiful Day Slimline Card.

Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 7” x 8 1/2”, score at 3 1/2” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (Slimline)

Step 2 – Trim Medium Yellow Cardstock to 3 1/2” x 8 1/2” and adhere to card front using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 3 – Diecut Slimline Foliage Frame using Warm Green Patterned Paper. Turn over and adhere Slimline Acetate Sheet using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. Adhere Foam Tape (2 layers) around the edge. Add Bumble Bee Sprinkles to the top of the card. Remove the release sheet from the Foam Tape and add it to the card front.

Step 4 – Stamp puny sentiment using Versamark on Black Cardstock. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a Heat Tool. Trim the sentiment and add fishtails to the ends. Adhere to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

This card can be used for several occasion by changing the sentiment. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

    Naughty Kitty

    Hello crafty card makers!

I created this card with my naughty kitty NuNu in mind. She is so pretty and sweet looking but watch out. I thought of her when I saw this Kat Scrappiness naughty die and naughty Christmas Stamp Set.

The kitty is from Newton ‘s Nook and available at Kat Scrappiness too. I started by die cutting the naughty out five times and gluing them together to form the word into a chipboard like cut. Next I decided to layer up the card stock to form a frame for the central image.

Finally I stamped, cut and colored the sleeping kitty. At this point I thought the word needed it’s definition so I stamped it directly onto the top layer. I added a few sequins and the card was complete.

Congrats On Your New Home Card

Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 7” x 8 1/2”, score at 3 1/2” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (Slimline)

Step 2 – Diecut Slimline Wood Grain Framed Diamond Wire using White Cardstock. Adhere to card front using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 3 – Diecut Slimline Never Ending Nesting using White Cardstock (2 dies together to create a frame) Adhere to card front using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 4 – I did some sentiment surgery by using dies and words I had in my stash to create the sentiment Congrats On Your New Home.

Step 5 – To create the doorknob I used Metallic Cardstock. You can take a tiny circle die you may have in your stash or cut it out along with a keyhole. Adhere to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

This card be used for many occasions by changing the colours/sentiment/adding details. Example change the Cardstock to a dark color and add a Christmas wreath and it becomes a Christmas/Holiday card. Below is a link to all the products used. When Black Cats Prowl . . . | Halloween Slimline Card

Hi Everyone, it’s Priscilla here. Today I want to share a slimline shaker card I made featuring the new “Slimline Wood Grain Framed Diamond Wire” die and the Kat Scrappiness fan favorite this time of year, the Halloween-themed “Toil and Trouble Layered Stamp Set with Matching Dies.”

I started with a slimline card base from purple card stock (8.5″ x 7″, scored at 3.5″ inches.) Using the new “Diamond Wire” die, I cut  the front of this shaker card from silver card stock for a “chain-link fence” look.

I ink blended Distress Oxide Inks in “Twisted Citron,” “Carved Pumpkin,” and “Wilted Violet” to create a spooky backdrop for my shaker elements, Kat‘s “Pick Your Poison” and “Eye Candy” sprinkles.

I adhered a slimline-sized clear acetate sheet on the back of the “Diamond Wire” layer and foamed mounted it over the sprinkles and ink blended background. With my shaker completed, I then added the Halloween elements on top –  a die cut Spooky tree and bat from the “Crafters Essentials- Fall” die collection, a pumpkin colored and cut from the “Happy Fall Y’all” stamp set, and the 3-step stamp layered black cat plus the sentiment from the “Toil and Trouble Layered Stamp Set with Matching Dies.” Finally, I added a stamped and die cut purple moon from my stash.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out what’s NEW in Kat’s Shop, and follow my blog and Instagram for more “Kat Scrappiness Amazingness”!
