  • Bamboo Background Die by Martha Lucia

Bamboo Background Die by Martha Lucia

Hello crafty friends! Martha Lucia here with you!

Today I’m excited to share with you a new card that I made for Kat Scrappiness. I am featuring their gorgeous Bamboo Backdrop die, the fabulous Stewart The Sloth stamp set, Owl Envelope Art, A2 Acetate Sheets and the Mystical Leaves Sprinkles.

Bamboo Background Die by Martha Lucia

The base of my card is cardstock and all the other layers are Rinea Foiled paper. To make this I used as second layer a piece of Jade/Gold Glossy Rinea Foiled Paper and I inked randomly this layer with different tones of StazOn Ink. I used StazOn Emerald City and Cactus Green. I pasted this layer directly over the card base.

Bamboo Background Die by Martha Lucia

I die cut the Bamboo Backdrop Die twice. The first using Early Espresso cardstock and the second using Mocha/Gold Glossy Rinea Foiled Paper. The die cuts from Kat Scrappiness cut like butter different materials! I resized one piece of A2 Acetate Sheets to the size of the Bamboo Backdrop Die and pasted it to the back to create the shaker style. For the shaker effect, I used Mystical Leaves Sprinkles.

In a separate piece of whisper white cardstock, I stamped twice of the images included on the Stewart The Sloth stamp set and colored the sloth image with Sprectrum Noir Alcohol Markers Colouring System. To cut the sentiments, I used a cross stitched rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs.

My next card is a fun card that I made using the Owl Envelope Art. You can find all the details about this card HERE!

Coffee and Mom by Martha Lucia

Hello crafty friends! Martha Lucia here to share two cards during this weekend. I had some fun playing with the Mandala Frame die and the Friendship Greetings stamp set  on my first card and here it is.

Coffee and Mom by Martha Lucia

To make the base of the card, I used Dotted Swiss Cardstock Coral Reef from Bazzill Basics Papers and I die cut the the Mandala Frame die on Crumb Cake cardstock and splattered it with Nuvo Simply White and pasted with double sided foam tape. I stamped over the coffee cup one of the images included on the stamp set Friendship Greetings with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with color pencils. To finalize the card, I added one of the sentiments included on the same stamp set.

  • Inspiration with the new release of dies!

Inspiration with the new release of dies!

Hello inky friends, Martha Lucia here with you!

Today I have some inspiration with the new release of Kat Scrappiness. These new dies and stamps are really beautiful and have been created to use them in all occasions. Take a look at my first card using the Friendship Greetings stamp set released today:

Inspiration with the new release of dies!

To create this card I used images included on the new stamp set Friendship Greetings that is available since today! This set includes three different design of flowers that I am sure you will love. I created the card base and second layer using Flirty Flamingo card stock and the Ruffle Embossing Folder to create the texture. I also used whisper white card stock to create the third layer that I cut using one of the zig zag rectangles included on the Zig Zag Rectangles Dies. Over this rectangle I stamped one of the sentiments included on the Friendship Greetings stamp set.

Inspiration with the new release of dies!

In a separate piece of whisper white card stock, I stamped one of the branch of flowers included on the stamp set Friendship Greetings with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with Alcohol Markers Studio 71 and some Copics. I fussy cut the flowers with my scissors and pasted it over the card with double sided foam tape.

My next card is using the Cloud Die released yesterday! It is gorgeous!

Inspiration with the new release of dies!

To make this I used light blue card stock for the base and second layer.  I cut the second layer with the Cloud Die cover plate but to make it a little different, I rounded the corners with the Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper and traced the rainbow with alcohol markers from the center of the layer. Then I pasted the decorated layer over the card base with double sided foam tape.

Inspiration with the new release of dies!

To finalize the card, I stamped one of the sentiments included on the stamp set Friendship Greetings and cut it with the stitched sentiment Strips and paste it directly over the decorated layer. As final touch, I added two clouds that I cut using the He is Raisen Die set and paste some Rainbow Wheels Sprinkles only down of the clouds.

I also used the new Cloud die with a different material. I used the die with Rinea Foiled paper and I love how the stitched clouds turned out. If you want to see  more details about this card you can click HERE and see all the details in my Stampartpapel blog.

Now I want to show some sneak peaks of the die that I will share tomorrow in my blog using a new die that will be released tomorrow as part of April release.

Inspiration with the new release of dies!

Thank you for stopping by and don’t forget that all the products released in April are available in Kat Scrappines Store.

  • Send your love!!!

    Send your love!!!

Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here with you to share another of my cards using the I Love You Shadow Dies from Kat Scrappiness. Like you have been noticed the entire Design Team and of course costumers are fascinated with these words to send your love!

    Send your love!!!

To make this card, I used a cool technique of double stamping. It is double because I used both sides of a single stamp and it works great when you are using symmetric images like this kite from the stamp set Life’s a Breeze from Joy Clair. First I randomly stamped the back side of the image over a whisper white layer of card stock using Pink Shimmer Delicata Ink and then with Glamorous VersaFine Clair I over stamped the correct image over the solid background and embossed with clear embossing powder to have more texture.

    Send your love!!!

After have the background layer finalized, I resized it using a stitched rectangle die cut from Gina Marie Designs and pasted directly over the real red card base to have the perfect mat for the I Love You Shadow Dies from Kat Scrappiness.

    Send your love!!!

I take a piece of whisper white card stock and inked directly with the inkpad of Glamorous VersaFine Clair and covered the entire layer with clear embossing powder that I melted with the heat tool. I die cut the mat layer of the words included on the I Love You Shadow Dies using pink card stock and then I die cut the letters from this embossed layer. I assemble all the pieces and pasted over my decorated card base using double sided foam tape.

This is a creative technique that you can explore with different types of stamps. The result is always different and if you mix and match the colors of ink you will love the effect and you will take advantage of your words!

    See you soon!

    Martha Lucia

Wishing You Peace, Love & Joy by Maria

Hello everyone!  Maria here on the blog today.  Have you joined our Blog Hop to benefit the Coffee Oasis Youth Program?  Collection is currently open and all you have to do is make a winter-themed project and link it on the site, or leave comments on each participants blog and you will also have a chance to WIN!  Simple as that!

For my card today, I am showcasing the new Stitched Snowflake Swirl Border Background die and other products available at the shop.   I started out by die-cutting a piece of some Bristol smooth white card stock using the Stitched Snowflake Swirl Border Background die.  I inked up this piece with Spun Sugar and Antique Linen distress oxide inks with my mini-ink blending tool.

Using the Holiday Style stamp set from Sunny Studio Stamps, I stamped the pine boughs first, then positioned the silver bell ornament and stamped it with different gray and black inks.  I also stamped it with some Encore silver pigment ink.  I die-cut a piece of red  bow using a die-set from Lawn Fawn and adhered it onto the top of the ornament.  I also stamped the sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink and Lawn Fawn Lobster ink.  I added the Sparkling Clear jewels using my Crystal Katana jewel picker.

    Here’s my card:

I absolutely LOVE the stitching details made by the die.  It is so beautiful in person.  I also LOVE the jewels that are available at the shop but the sparkling clear ones are my favorite.  Here’s a little close-up:

In my opinion, Kat Scrappiness makes the most beautiful and affordable dies.  I can’t even pick a favorite because I love them all!  Please tell us which one is your favorite die from the shop.

I hope you like my card today.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Don’t forget to use my coupon code “MARIA10” for 10% off your order.  Thank you for stopping by and happy crafting!

  • It’s Beginning to Look a Sloth Like Christmas

It’s Beginning to Look a Sloth Like Christmas

Hello my crafty friends!  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!  I meant to post on November 23rd but due to my current move and travel schedule, I was not able to organize the post so I apologize for that.  Before I begin, I wanted to let you all know that Cyber Monday is 25% off!  Please use coupon code “MONDAY25”  Hurry and order your favorites before they are gone!

It’s Maria here with you today I am back with this cute Christmas card, showcasing the Foliage Frame Die, the Slothy Christmas stamp set and matching die by Newton’s Nook and other products available at the shop.

I started by stamping my images on Neenah solar white card stock and colored the images in with my Copic markers.  I die-cut the images using the coordinating dies.  I also die-cut another piece of Neenah solar white card stock using the Foliage Frame die set.  This die is so beautiful!

I cut an A2-size piece of Bristol smooth white card stock and inked up this background with some Tumbled Glass and Spun Sugar distress oxide inks, using my mini-ink blending tool.  I put a few drops of my Vintage Photo distress re-inker onto an acrylic block and added a few drops of water then used my watercolor brush to splatter some color onto my colored background.  I adhered this piece onto my card base.

I added some foam adhesive on the frame to give it a little bit of a dimension.  To finish my design, I adhered my colored images onto the card and covered the Santa hat with some stardust stickles.  Here’s a little close-up:

Don’t you just LOVE this new Foliage Frame die?  Also the sloth is so cute with that little mouse!  I really love how this card turned out.
