    Give Thanks Card with Video

Hi it’s Lisa up on the blog today and I have a Fall themed card to share with you.

I used one of my favorite techniques on this card and

I filmed a video to show you the process.

I love to make watercolored backgrounds with Distress Inks and then die cut shapes out of it.  Once the background is colored the way I like it, I splatter some black paint onto it to give it an organic look. For this card I chose some pretty Kelly Purkey feather dies that I’ve had for a long time. I thought they would go nicely with the theme for this card.

For this card I used the vase and pumpkin images from the

new stamp set called “Happy Fall Y’all”.

I colored the vase with 4 colors of Distress Inks and then I cut the

vase out with a die from the Stitched Scalloped Oval Dies.

The vellum background behind the oval was die cut using the

Stitched Scalloped Rectangle dies. I arranged the feathers behind the scalloped circle and added some yellow and orange jewels around the vase for some added interest.

Finally I stamped the sentiment onto some brown card stock in Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white powder.  I then used my Scan n Cut to cut it out.

Here is the video showing how I made this card or you can watch it on YouTube.

Autumn-themed Cards with Happy Fall Y’All

Hello everyone! Maria here with you today and I’m back to share some Autumn-themed cards showcasing the new Happy Fall Y’all stamp set, Petal Burst Backdrop die, double stitched oval dies, double stitched rectangle dies and stitched rectangle dies.

It is officially fall and I bet some of you are loving the cooler weather now and the leaves are finally changing colors.  Here in Florida, the weather is still warm and we are certainly not ready for sweaters just yet!

I started out by stamping my images on Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my Copic markers.  I used my Scan N Cut 2 machine to cut the images.  I die-cut the rest of the elements that I needed to finish my cards.  Here’s the first one:

Who else LOVE white pumpkins?  I certainly do!  I think the white background with the warm gray frame finished this design pretty nicely!  Here’s a little close-up:

    Here’s my second card:

This stamp set is a must-have for sure!   I know you can barely see it on the photo but I stamped the fall leaves using Fog ink on my background.  Here’s a little close-up:

I hope you like my project today.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Please don’t forget to use my coupon code “MARIA10” for 10% ff your order at the shop.  Happy crafting!

    Happy Fall Y’all

Did everyone get a chance to celebrate World Card-making Day yesterday?  I plan on celebrating today!  You can still celebrate today at Kat Scrappiness with a 15% discount site-wide by thru October 7, 2018 by using code CARDDAY18.

I have a card today featuring the new Happy Fall Y’all stamp set.  I used the 4″ Wreath Builder template from Gina K to create a fall wreath with three of the leave stamps in the Happy Fall Y’all stamp set.  I then stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in the middle of the wreath.  I added some red jewels on the inside of the wreath.  I cannot stop using the jewels from Kat Scrappiness on every card I make!  I matted the wreath panel onto some matching green card stock and tied a piece of brown and white twine around that panel.  I then adhered the panel to a brown card base.

Spooktacular Card Featuring Fall Crafters Essentials

Hi Everyone, it’s Tina here today. Kat Scrappiness started a collection called Crafters Essentials which features must have dies in one collection. This month there is the Fall Crafters Essentials which not only makes fabulous Fall Cards but Halloween Cards as well. Today’s card I used it as a super fun Spooktacular Card. Below are the steps to replicate this card.

Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, score at 4 1/4” and fold in half for a horizontal side fold card.

Step 2 – Trim White Cardstock to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”. Using an ink applicator apply Distress Oxide Inks to create an Eerie Background. I started with a small circle with Spiced Marmalade, then Barn Door and worked my way out to Dusty Concord, Wilted Violet and Black Soot. I sprayed the background using Sheer Shimmer Sparkle Spritz to add some sparkle and shine. Let it completely dry before moving into the next step.

Step 3 – Diecut Fall Crafters Essentials using Black Cardstock. I Diecut the bat 3 times, the fence 2 times and the tree. Adhere to card front using Collage Medium.

Step 4 – Stamp Toil and Trouble Stamp Set sentiment Boo using Versamark. Sprinkle Silver Embossing Powder, remove the excess powder and heat set it with a heat tool.

Step 5 – For added interest and sparkle using a Crystal Katana apply Purple Jewels with Collage Medium.

I hope you enjoyed this fun way to use the Fall Crafters Essentials dies. You can change it up and make it into a Fall card by changing the colors and sentiment. Below is a link to all the products used. To receive 10% off your next order with Kat Scrappiness use code TINA10 at checkout. Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Matchbox Gift Card Holder with Video

Welcome back to the blog Kat Scrappiness fans!

It’s Lisa here with you today and I have a really fun project to share!

Since the holidays are just around the corner and gift cards are

such a popular gift giving idea,

I thought I’d show you a cute way to package them.

I made a matchbook to put them in so that they pop-up when you open them!

I made 4 matchbook gift card holders and decorated them with various

stamps and dies from the Kat Scrappiness shop.

Here is a look at all 4 of them:

And here is how they look when you open them and the gift card pops up:

    Aren’t they adorable!

The fun part is that there are so many ways to decorate them and they can be used for any holiday or occasion depending on the paper and embellishments you use.

I also filmed a video to show you how to make your own!

I used 5 different stamp sets on my matchbooks, 3 of which were just released at

Kat Scrappiness along with many various dies also available in the shop.

In the video I’ll show you all of the products used on each matchbook and

I’ll go through a quick tutorial on how to make your own!

It’s really simple and they come together very quickly once you’ve made one.

I’ll have all of the measurements in the video that you will need.

Heres a link to the video on YouTube.

    [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjpgJHtdxUU]

As always, thank you for joining me today! I hope you’ll give one of these matchbooks a try. It will give your gift cards a facelift and you’ll have fun making them!

All of the products I used in today’s project are listed and linked below.

If you want to purchase any of these fun products at Kat Scrappiness, you can use

my code Lisa10 and save 10% on your order!
