    MARIA RUSSELL

Since I am doing all of the release posts, I will not have an individual blog post for the cards I made so I will be showing you some “close-up” of the cards.  For my first sample, I used the ZigZag Hearts with the Layering Nested Hearts dies.  I inked up this heart background with distress oxide inks.  I stamped the avocados and colored them in with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend Markers.  I also used the stitched sentiment strip dies, and some sparkling clear jewels.

I absolutely LOVE this stamp set.  They are so cute and easy to color, and they are easy to fussy-cut.  You can also use an electronic die-cutting machine to cut them out.  I added some glossy accents to the pit and tiny little bows from a Lawn Fawn set of dies.  Also used some sparkling clear jewels to add to the tiny bows.  These images are so adorable!

    MARTHA GOMEZ

Martha used the Layering Nested Hearts dies with the ZigZag Hearts die.  She used the sentiment “HELLO” from the Friendship Greetings stamp set.

Such a genius and gorgeous design from Martha.  She is featuring the You Guac My World stamp set, and also used the basket from the Crafter’s Essentials Easter die set.  I love that her avocados have different shades of green.  Super cute!

    MEGHAN KENNIHAN

I love this colorful card made by new DT member, Meghan featuring the Layering Nested Hearts dies with some matching sequins.  She also used the “Thank You” sentiment from the Friendship Greetings stamp set.

This card is just AMAZEBALLS!   I love the rainbow-colored pits with the matching splatter on the background.  This card makes me happy because it is so cheerful!

    PRISCILLA JOSEPH

Priscilla’s design on this Mother’s Day card is one of my favorites this month. She is featuring a ton of products from the shop – the Zig Zag Heart die cut in the center with a “Layering Nested Heart” die to make a shaker card opening. The heart is die-cut on Yupo paper and she used some alcohol inks.  Priscilla also used some KS “Mixed Heart Sprinkles”, with the “Happy Mother’s Day” die plus the KS Cross Stitched Rectangle Die.  Just simply brilliant!

Here’s another card that I love!  She used the You Guac My World stamp set, Distress Oxide Blending onto a grid stencil.  Priscilla colored her images using her Copic markers.  The Baby “in utero” compliments of Kat’s “Cute Critters” Sprinkles .  To finish her design, she added some glossy accents and used the Mixed Flowers Sprinkles.

    TINA DORNBAUM

Tina created this GORGEOUS card with the Layering Hearts die and the Scallop Hearts. She used alcohol inks for the background and used the Happy from the Happy Mother’s Day sentiment die and added the word “anniversary”. I am so in-love with this card.

Tina distressed her background with some distress oxide inks.  She colored the avocados from the You Guac My World stamp set with some Spectrum Nour TriBlend markers and added some green jewels to finish her design.

Which one is your favorite?  To be honest, I can’t even pick one because I LOVE THEM ALL!  My team has knocked this out of the park!

There are TWO WAYS to win from our May release:

    (1) We will be picking two winners.  One will WIN this Layering Nested Hearts Die set and the other winner will WIN the You Guac My World stamp set.  Leave a comment down below and tell us what you like about both products today and what card sample has spoken to you!

    Hi Crafty Friends,

Kat Scrappiness is a SUPER Sponsor and has an amazing deal for you 15% off EVERYTHING in the COFFEE category. All the items I used in my card below can be found in that category!

    Make Crafty Friends Q & A:

Q: What is the craziest coffee or tea concoction you have ever had?

A: Me? I’m not very adventurous so I have had Gingerbread Coffee from Trader Joe’s and it was GROSS.

I started my card by creating the coffee bean panel with the Gina Marie Coffee Bean Stencil from the Kat Scrappiness Store. I used Tea Dye and Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Inks and blender brushes.

I taped it down to my blue base card. Then I die cut the wonderful Scallop Heart from the blue paper that matched my base and I die cut the white heart using the NEW Layering Heart Die Set (that goes with ALL Kat Scrappiness Heart Dies).

I colored the darling little man and mug with copic markers and foam taped him to the middle of the heart so he pops from the card. I stamped the sentiments onto a Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fishtail Banner die and added the sentiments to the top and bottom of  my card. The finishing touch was the little RED Heart in the corner of the heart die and the bright blue sequins.

Thank you for stopping by the blog! Please follow me here on my blog and leave comments answering all my “Make Crafty Friends Q & As” so we can become #CraftyBesties! You can find me on Instagram here.

    Happy Mother’s Day Shaker Card

Hi everyone!  Mother’s Day is this coming weekend, so I thought I would share a Mother’s day card I made using products from the Kat Scrappiness shop.

I started the card by die cutting the Fancy Floral coverplate die out of pink card stock and the Happy Mother’s Day die from white glitter card stock.  I then backed the Fancy Floral coverplate with a piece of clear acetate.  On the back of this panel, I added foam tape along the edges.  I then added lots of different confetti inside the panel.  Kat Scrappiness has so many fillers to choose from when making shaker cards.  Here are the ones that I used – Fairy Dust , transparent blue solid stars, mirrored clear solid stars and hearts, and rainbow star confetti.

I then adhered this panel with the confetti inside directly to my gray card base.  I adhered the Happy Mother’s Day sentiment to the front panel using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

    Crabby Coffee Card

Hello crafty friends, It’s Lisa here with you on the Kat Scrappiness blog today and

I’m sharing a card using 2 stamp sets from one of the new

vendors in the Kat Scrappiness shop!

The Rabbit Hole Designs is a new company that has

fun and creative stamps with a dash of quirky and sassy!

They have a whole line of caffeinated critter stamps and today

I am using the Caffeinated Crab on my card!

The sentiment is from the Perfectly Blended stamp set.

This coffee and tea themed sentiment set has the funniest

sayings and pair so perfectly with the caffeinated critters from The Rabbit Hole!

I got the super cute patterned paper from Michaels with crabs

all over it and I thought it would be the perfect background for my tired crab!

I used the Zig Zag Border dies on some kraft paper and then I made it look like

faux sand using a technique I showed in this YouTube video:

    Faux Sand Technique

I also die cut some shells and gave them the same look as the sand.

The crab patterned paper was cut out using the Zig Zag Rectangle dies

and I layered the kraft paper on top of it.  Since I used the Zig Zag border dies,

it layered perfectly on top. The bottom layer of my sun was cut using

the starburst die from the Crafter’s Essentials II dies.

The sentiment is from the Perfectly Blended stamp set by The Rabbit Hole

and I mounted it on to a small die from the Zig Zag Rectangle dies.

I just love these fun stamps from The Rabbit Hole and I think you will too!

As always don’t forget to use my code LISA10 in the Kat Scrappiness

shop for 10% off your entire order!

***Don’t forget about the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop still going on until May 10th!***

Kat Scrappiness and The Rabbit Hole Designs are both super sponsors of this

event and if you join in and hop along there are terrific prizes being

offered by tons of fun crafty companies!

Thanks so much for joining me today and have a great day, I already am!

Coffee and Mom by Martha Lucia

Hello crafty friends! Martha Lucia here to share two cards during this weekend. I had some fun playing with the Mandala Frame die and the Friendship Greetings stamp set  on my first card and here it is.

Coffee and Mom by Martha Lucia

To make the base of the card, I used Dotted Swiss Cardstock Coral Reef from Bazzill Basics Papers and I die cut the the Mandala Frame die on Crumb Cake cardstock and splattered it with Nuvo Simply White and pasted with double sided foam tape. I stamped over the coffee cup one of the images included on the stamp set Friendship Greetings with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with color pencils. To finalize the card, I added one of the sentiments included on the same stamp set.
