Hello Kat Scrappiness fans!  It is that time of the month when the Design Team gets to show off the new products available at the shop.  We will also be giving away the die and/or stamp set that is being revealed each day during release week and a SPECIAL GIFT to whoever places an order until May 15th using the supplies linked below. PLEASE SCROLL THROUGH AT THE END OF THE POST TO FIND OUT HOW TO WIN.

For the first day of the reveals, we are showcasing the Layering Nested Hearts dies (these dies will be perfect to layer with the Scalloped and Zigzag hearts) and You Guac My World stamp set. We apologize if you are not getting a clear photo of the die and/or stamp set we’re revealing today.  We are are doing everything we can to stop AliExpress and other companies from stealing Kat Scrappiness’ original designs.

LAYERING NESTED HEARTS

YOU GUAC MY WORLD STAMP SET

Some of the DT members will have two projects to showcase today using the Layering Nested Hearts and the You Guac My World stamp setHowever, they have created a TON of samples for you, including step-by-step video on our YouTube channel throughout the month.  Please stay tuned as you will be seeing some amazing designs from the team.  Are you ready to see the samples?

CAREN BARTHOLOMEW

Caren created this square card featuring the Layering Nested Heart dies, Zig Zag Heart dies, Stitched Fishtail Banner dies, Friendship Greetings stamp set and some White jewels.

Caren created this cute card featuring the You Guac My World stamp set and the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle dies.

LISA GOLZBEIN

Lisa created this card featuring the Layering Nested Hearts dies and the scalloped hearts, with the You Guac my World stamp set.

Lisa used the ZigZag border dies and the You Guac My World stamp set with the sparkling clear jewels.

MARIA RUSSELL

Since I am doing all of the release posts, I will not have an individual blog post for the cards I made so I will be showing you some “close-up” of the cards.  For my first sample, I used the ZigZag Hearts with the Layering Nested Hearts dies.  I inked up this heart background with distress oxide inks.  I stamped the avocados and colored them in with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend Markers.  I also used the stitched sentiment strip dies, and some sparkling clear jewels.

I absolutely LOVE this stamp set.  They are so cute and easy to color, and they are easy to fussy-cut.  You can also use an electronic die-cutting machine to cut them out.  I added some glossy accents to the pit and tiny little bows from a Lawn Fawn set of dies.  Also used some sparkling clear jewels to add to the tiny bows.  These images are so adorable!

MARTHA GOMEZ

Martha used the Layering Nested Hearts dies with the ZigZag Hearts die.  She used the sentiment “HELLO” from the Friendship Greetings stamp set.

Such a genius and gorgeous design from Martha.  She is featuring the You Guac My World stamp set, and also used the basket from the Crafter’s Essentials Easter die set.  I love that her avocados have different shades of green.  Super cute!

MEGHAN KENNIHAN

I love this colorful card made by new DT member, Meghan featuring the Layering Nested Hearts dies with some matching sequins.  She also used the “Thank You” sentiment from the Friendship Greetings stamp set.

This card is just AMAZEBALLS!   I love the rainbow-colored pits with the matching splatter on the background.  This card makes me happy because it is so cheerful!

PRISCILLA JOSEPH

Priscilla’s design on this Mother’s Day card is one of my favorites this month. She is featuring a ton of products from the shop – the Zig Zag Heart die cut in the center with a “Layering Nested Heart” die to make a shaker card opening. The heart is die-cut on Yupo paper and she used some alcohol inks.  Priscilla also used some KS “Mixed Heart Sprinkles”, with the “Happy Mother’s Day” die plus the KS Cross Stitched Rectangle Die.  Just simply brilliant!

Here’s another card that I love!  She used the You Guac My World stamp set, Distress Oxide Blending onto a grid stencil.  Priscilla colored her images using her Copic markers.  The Baby “in utero” compliments of Kat’s “Cute Critters” Sprinkles .  To finish her design, she added some glossy accents and used the Mixed Flowers Sprinkles.

TINA DORNBAUM

Tina created this GORGEOUS card with the Layering Hearts die and the Scallop Hearts. She used alcohol inks for the background and used the Happy from the Happy Mother’s Day sentiment die and added the word “anniversary”. I am so in-love with this card.

Tina distressed her background with some distress oxide inks.  She colored the avocados from the You Guac My World stamp set with some Spectrum Nour TriBlend markers and added some green jewels to finish her design.

Which one is your favorite?  To be honest, I can’t even pick one because I LOVE THEM ALL!  My team has knocked this out of the park!

Those heart dies will be useful for all kinds of projects, and I just love the family/baby sentiment in the avocado set. I have a hard time with baby cards, but that one looks fun!

Love the versatility of the hearts and that they can be combined with previously released products. The guacamole set is too punny! The designers’ cards are a fab showcase of these new products, they are all so creative. My faves are Priscilla’s special delivery, the best type of story on a card; Martha’s hello card features a classic palette that is so elegant; Lisa’s first card is a fresh take on a simple design that really makes a statement; great layout on Caren’s cards, I especially love the palette on her first card. So much fantastic inspiration.

These are both fantastic!! I don’t own any heart nesting dies, these are a wonderful size. And the Guac stamp set is so adorable, love the baby Guac especially on Priscilla’s card. And Meghans ‘Holy Guacamole’ card is incredible, she has coloured the guacs so well they look like enamel pins….genius!!

Well, I’m a big avocado fan from way back, so that Guac set is making me giggle. These are all amazing cards, but Tina’s Guac My World, and Meghan’s Holy Guacamole cards are my favorite! As for the heart dies, they are must-haves!

Love the layering Hearts and the guac set! The hearts are a great basic set to have on hand, and the guac set is playful and fun! The last card, You Guac My World!, with the fun guac background is the one that catches my eye! Awesome background!
