    Oopsie Daisy Layering Stamps

Hello Friends!! Nora here on the blog today with a stamped card using some of the products from the Kat Scrappiness Shop’s Summer Release. I wanted to focus on the new Kat Scrappiness Oopsie Daisy 4 by 6 Layered Stamps and the Kat Scrappiness Oopsie Daisy Coordinating Dies.

I do not have a green thumb so I do not know much about flowers. I always think of daisies being white with a yellow center. Boy was I wrong!!! After doing some research, I discovered that daisies come in purples, pinks, yellows, oranges and every shade in between. For my card, I decided to do something I rarely do-stamp my layers using only one color ink. I had do do multiple layers of that ink to make my flower layers pop but it is a great way to stamp if you don’t have a lot of inks that are supposed to go together.

Here is how I created this card:

    1. Select an A2 size, white card base. Mine is top folding.
    2. Die cut the Kat Scrappiness A2 Quilted Backdrop Die out of white cardstock. Adhere this panel to the card base.
    3. Using the second largest rectangle in the set of Kat Scrappiness A2 Reverse Scallops Dies to die cut a frame out of white cardstock. Adhere to the front of the card using foam adhesive.
    4. Stamp and die cut the flowers in pink using the Oopsie Daisy Layering Stamps and the coordinating Oopsie Daisy Dies. Then use Copic Markers in the RV family to make dots for the flower centers. You don’t have to do this but I liked how this gave the flowers a little bit of “texture.”
    5. From the same stamp set, stamp the leaves in green and die cut them with the coordinating dies.
    6. Adhere the flowers and leaves onto the card front. On my card, I used foam adhesive to pop up one of the flowers.
    7. Out of black cardstock, die cut the sentiment three times using the Kat Scrappiness Love You Word w/Shadow Die . Adhere the three layers together to give it some dimension and place it on the front of the card. Use some Ranger Glossy Accents over the sentiment to give it some shine.
    8. The last step is to adhere some Kat Scrappiness Brilliant Lilac Pearl Mix around the sentiment and the card is complete.

I want to thank you for stopping by today. Be sure to visit the Kat Scrappiness Blog often to see what the fabulous projects from the other Design Team members.

There is also a sale going on this weekend. Treat yourself to some fun supplies for the holiday!!

(affiliate links to most products are provided below at no additional cost to you)

Hi All! I am up on the Kat Scrappiness Blog today with some inspiration from the Summer Release. This card features the A2 Quilted Back Drop Die and the Summer Vibes Paper Pack as well as some other cute products for summer. So let’s make a card.

    Card Supplies

    Card Details

    • Cut, score and fold an A2 side folding card base.
    • With a piece of Neenah white card stock and the A2 Quilted Backdrop Die, run this through your die-cutting machine.
    • Ink blend a scrap piece of with card stock using the inks listed above.
    • Die-cut the Happy Summer three times from the ink blended panel. I also cut 3 additional pieces from white card stock. I glued these to the back of what will be the middle sentiment. This adds dimension.
    • Use liquid glue and adhere the sentiments on top of the quilted panel. Use a T-Square for alignment.
    • Glue the entire panel to the card base with a strong liquid glue.
    • Stamp your quokka image TWICE. Stamp it once onto white card stock and again on your selected pattern paper from the Summer Vibes pack.
    • Fussy cut the surfboard from the patterned paper.
    • Color your white quokka image with colored pencils or alcohol markers.
    • Die-cut your colored quokka.
    • Adhere the surfboard on top.
    • Add foam tape to the back of the quokka and add it to your card.

This card is pretty easy to make and I think it turned out pretty cute! I would love to hear your feedback! Please stop by the Kat Scrappiness shop to check out all of the new goodies. As always, thanks for stopping by!

  • Happy Dad Day Quokka!

    Happy Dad Day Quokka!

Hi crafty friends! Sammi here to share with you a card I made using the Summer Quokka stamp set paired with the new #UkraineStrong paper pack! I just love the plaid paper in the new #UkraineStrong paper pack! For this card, I also used the new Happy Father’s Day w/ shadow die, which was perfect for this card! Here is how I made it:

    1. First I used the Mini Slimline Stitched Rope die and cut out the card panel with white cardstock. I then cut out a mat for the card panel using the solid blue paper from the #UkraineStrong paper pad. I then added some stars to the card panel using the Falling Stars stencil with some blue and yellow ink.
    2. Next, I cut out the words DAD using the Condensed Uppercase Alphabet Dies three times with white cardstock and one set with the plaid paper from the #UkraineStrong paper pad. I then glued the white cardstock pieces together to add dimension and then glued the plaid paper on top with Bearly Art Glue. I then glued the DAD onto the card panel in a diagonal fashion. I then cut the Happy Father’s Day out using the new Happy Father’s Day w/ shadow die and only used the Happy Day part and glued it onto the card panel.
    3. I then stamped the Quokka from the Summer Quokka stamp set and cut him out with the coordinating die. I then colored him with Copic markers and then popped him onto the card panel with foam tape.
    4. I then added some Yellow and Dark Blue Jewels to finish the look before gluing the card panel onto the mini slimline card base.

I love how this card turned out! The Quokka is just so cute and just chillin, enjoying life on Dad’s day! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

  • Starry Night Window Shaker Card

    Starry Night Window Shaker Card

Happy Mother’s Day everyone! I want to wish every momma out there a great day filled with happiness and family today and I hope that you are spoiled today!

Sammi here to show you a great shaker card using the Oval Window Shaker Card kit from Kat Scrappiness paired up with the new Falling Stars Stencil that was newly released. I envisioned looking out at a starry night from the window when I put this card together, and I am quite happy with the results. Here is how I made the card:

    1. Using Oxide inks, I ink blended a piece of cardstock I cut using the 5×7 Stitched Rectangle die. I needed to make a 5×7 card with the size of the shaker kit. I used colors that would make a night sky. Then, using the Falling Stars stencil, I created a starry night with some gold Nuvo Mousse.
    2. Putting the starry night aside to dry, I then painted the window with some chalk paint. I had white chalk paint, so I painted it white first, then I added some black distress ink to the paint to make a gray colored paint and added some distressed paint strokes on the shutter to make it look like distressed wood. I then added some blue sparkle paint to the window sill and put the window aside so the paint could dry.
    3. Using the Missing You w/ Shadow die, I cut out three Missing’s put and glued them together using Bearly Art Glue. I then heat embossed the Missing work with gold embossing powder. I then stamped the “you” from the Quokka’n Up stamp set sentiment.
    4. After everything was dry, I then glued the acetate and foam piece to the window shaker piece. I then added some Light Up The Night Sprinkles onto the starry card piece and then glued the window shaker piece on top to keep the sprinkles in the window shaker.
    5. I then glued the Missing sentiment under the window and then added the “you” with some foam tape.
    6. I decided I wanted some bling around the sentiment, so I added some Midnight Fandango Pearl Mix to complete the look.
    7. I then glued the card panel onto a 5×7 card base.

I am really please with the way this card turned out. It really does look like a starry night and the Light Up The Night Sprinkles were perfect for this card! Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

    Spring Fling Birthday Card!

Hi crafty friends! Sammi here to share a card I made using the new Spring Fling paper pack. I just love this paper pack! It has some GORGEOUS prints! I decided to go with the striped and solid paper for this card, along with the Friendship Greetings stamp set and Happy Birthday w/ Shadow word die. Here is how I made my card:

    1. First, I cut the striped paper to, the size of the A2 card panel, with the stripes going horizontal across. I then cut a piece of the coral paper 2.75 x 5.5 inches and a piece of black paper 2.5 x 5.5 inches.
    2. I then treated the black strip of paper with the Telescopic Embossing Powder Tool and then heat embossed the larger floral from the Friendship Greetings stamp set on opposite corners of the black strip of paper using white embossing powder.
    3. Using tape runner adhesive, I glued the black paper on top of the coral, then using foam tape, I glued it onto the striped paper panel.
    4. I then cut the shadow part of the word die with the mint solid paper and then the Happy Birthday with the coral solid paper. To add depth, I then cut the Happy Birthday twice out of black cardstock, and then glued them together with Bearly Art Glue, with the coral paper on top. I then glued the Happy Birthday onto the shadow piece.
    5. I then glued the sentiment onto the card panel in the middle of the strip and then glued the card panel onto a white card base I made with Neenah #110 paper. To finish the look, I added some Sparkling Snow Pearl Mix embellishments.

The card came out just as I imagined it would, and it is so easy to make! Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!!

  • Happy Spring

    Happy Spring

Hello friends!! Nora here with a simple card using some of the fabulous new Spring release from Kat Scrappiness. I combined the Hop into Easter paper with the Upper Case Condensed Alphabet Dies and the new Hippity Hoppity stamps to create a fun spring card.

    Card Details:

    • Mask off a piece of white cardstock with tape and blend yellow ink. Die cut the white paper using the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Postage Stamp Edge Rectangle Die. Adhere the die cut to an A2, white card base.
    • Using the Uppercase Condensed Alphabet, die cut “hello” out of purple, gingham paper from the Hop into Easter paper pack. Use a ruler and tape to help with making your letters even. Add glue to the back of your taped letters and adhere to the card. When the adhesive is dry, carefully lift up the tape.
    • Stamp and color a bunny from the Hippity Hoppity Bunnies stamp set. Using foam adhesive, adhere the rabbit to the left side of the “h” in hello.

    • Stamp “happy spring” in black ink under the “hello” using the Hippity Hoppity Sentiment set.
    • Add a white enamel dot from the Kat Scrappiness America the Great enamel dots to the center of the flower and the card is complete.
