Just Fluttering By

Hello Friends!! Nora here on the blog today with a monochromatic card using some of the Summer Vibes release from the Kat Scrappiness Shop. The past few days I have seen a ton of butterflies attracted to my Butterfly Bush that is in my front yard and it inspired me to create this card.

I used the Fluttering By Stamps and Dies, along with some of the new Kat Scrappiness dies for this simple card.

Here is how I created this card:

  • Stamp the large butterfly from the Fluttering By stamp set in different shades of purple on a white A2 panel. Cut it down to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and distress the edges using a pair of scissors. Adhere the panel to an A2, white card base.
  • Stamp the stitches from the same stamp set in black ink near the bottom of the card.
  • Die cut the smallest frame using the A2 Reverse Scallop Dies from white paper. Adhere it to the card using liquid adhesive.
  • Die cut leaves from white cardstock using the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Foliage Dies. Adhere the branch with liquid adhesive to the card front.
  • Using the large, side view butterfly from the Fluttering By stamps, stamp the layers in different shades of purple.
  • Die cut the flower using the coordinating Fluttering By Coordinating Dies. Embellish with some Kat Scrappiness Brilliant Lilac Pearl Mix and black gel pen dots. Adhere to the card front using foam adhesive.

  • Stamp the sentiment from the Friendship Greetings stamp set and adhere it to the card using foam adhesive.
  • Adhere a couple of Brilliant Lilac Pearls to the card front using foam adhesive.

I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by today. Please be sure to hop back to the Kat Scrappiness Blog tomorrow to see some other fabulous projects by the Design Team.
