    Cool Cat Shaker

Hi Crafting Friends, this is Adam and this is my first blog post for Kat Scrappiness. I am very excited to share my creations with you all using the great products from Kat Scrappiness. I love clean and simple designs and trying various art techniques. Today I have made a shaker card using products from the new release.

Start this card by die cutting the Kat Scrappiness Bamboo Backdrop Die and adhering it to white card stock. Next Create a Polaroid picture frame using the KS Never Ending Rectangle Dies. Cut the bamboo background to fit behind the frame.

Stamp the cat and sunglasses from the Waffle Flower “Be Her” stamp set and color them.

Stamp the scissors and two markers from the KS Crafters Gonna Craft stamp set and color them. Cut a rectangle out of green card stock and snip two corners off and punch a hole to create a tag. On the tag  stamp sentiment and emboss using Brutus Monroe Alabaster Embossing Powder.

Adhere the bamboo background onto card base. Attach the KS A-2 acetate sheet cut to size to the back of the photo frame. Use foam tape on back/edge of photo frame to create shaker space. Fill shaker area with KS Multi-Color Paw Print Sprinkles and attach card base.

Final step is to attach the cat, scissors, markers and tag to the shaker frame. I did add a twine bow to the tag to complete the card.

I hope you enjoy making your version of this card and look forward to sharing more ideas in the future.

So many sprinkles, so little time!

Hi crafters!  Did you see all the new sprinkles and awesome acetate sheets that were released this month?  So much cuteness.  Today, I’m sharing three cards I made with three of the new sprinkle mixes.

For my first card, I made a small shaker window using the penguin sprinkles, acetate sheets, stitched scalloped square dies, and the stitched square dies from Kat Scrappiness.  I used one of the Stitched Fishtail Banner dies for my sentiment.  To make this the size I wanted, I die cut the paper twice using the same die.

My next card uses the Fun Christmas Icon sprinkles, acetate sheets, and the Condensed Lowercase Alphabet dies from Kat Scrappiness.  I added a few teal jewels on the corners of the card and a fuchsia jewel to dot the I in bright.

For my last card, I wanted to show that you could use the sprinkles  without making a shaker card. I used the Multicolor Paw Print sprinkles on this cute puppy card.  I picked out the brown paw prints to match the card.

Here is a look at all the new sprinkles and the acetate sheets that are now available in the Kat Scrappiness shop.

Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!  Here is a link to the Kat Scrappiness shop and direct links for products used on this card are below.

    Shaker Cards in different sizes

Hello Kat Scrappiness fans! Martha Lucia here with you. Today I have two fun projects to share with you. I am featuring some of the new Sprinkles in combination with  some of my favorites die cuts and the new acetate sheets.

    Square Shaker Card

My first project is a square shaker card. The base of my card is basic black card stock and the second layer is piece of designer paper.  I die cut two zig zag stitched square dies onto watercolor paper and made a faux watercolor technique over both pieces, using the Double Ended Markers from Leisure Arts and Ink Potion No. 9 over my craft mat. I let the square pieces dry naturally.

    Square Shaker Card

With a perforated flap die from my stash, I die cut the window on the front panel and decorated it with some imagines from the stamp set Mother’s Day Love from Joy Clair Stamps. I colored the stamped images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and pasted a piece of grass that I die cut onto olive green cardstock with one of the dies included on the He is Risen die cuts from Kat Scrappiness.

    Square Shaker Card

To create the window of my square shaker card, I used one of the new acetate sheets from Kat Scrappiness and the Little Piggy Sprinkes in combination with the Blue Kiwaii Cloud Sprinkles. OMG, you have to see the collection of sprinkles, they are amazing and with exclusive designs.

    Square Shaker Card

My second card is a regular size card. I love Christmas and the new release of sprinkles include several christmas designs that are perfect for this season.

This card features the Mandala Frame die and I just die cut a circle with the Never Ending Circle Dies on the center to let see the Christmas Candy Sprinkles. For the background I used Gold/Gold Starstruck Rinea Foiled Paper, this add the shiny touch to my card .I used the circle that I die cut from the center of the Mandala Frame to stamp two images included on the stamp set Dog Gone Christmas from Joy Clair. I colored the Christmas dog with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

I wanted to get you inspired for the SEPTEMBER CHALLENGE:  SEQUINS & SPRINKLES with this fun candy card using Sweet Candy Sprinkles and 3mm Clear Confetti Dots!

I started my card by creating the candy pieces using a Kat Scrappiness Stitched Circle Die and cutting out three circles.

Next, I added my Kat Scrappiness Acetate sheet to the back of the panel and added foam tape around each circles so that they would each be their own shaker.

I die cut the little wrappers using the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Flag Dies in two sizes using pink and white vellum.

I added my sprinkles and sequins to the centers and put my panel on my base. Then I glued the little flag dies on the edges of the candy pieces to look just like wrappers.

I finished my card by stamping the sentiments on my panel and drawing the smiley faces on my candy!

Nothing Says Fall Better Than Apples

Hi Everyone, it’s Tina here. Summer is coming to an end and although I will miss flip flops and single layered clothing that means Fall will be here soon. Fall is one of my favorite seasons for the beauty and the activities. I still look at the changing color of the leaves with wonder. It is also brings my favorite activity. Apple picking which is what inspired today’s card. This is also a good opportunity to use your Fall Patterned Paper. Below are the steps to create your own card.

    Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ and fold in half for a horizontal side fold card (A2)

Step 2 – Trim Pattern Paper to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ and adhere to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 3 – Diecut Scalloped Collage using Pattern Paper. Adhere an acetate sheet to the backside using Double Sided Adhesive Tape. Double your Foam Tape for added dimension and adhere it on top of the Acetate Sheet at the edges. I used Foam Tape to separate each window. Trim a piece of Pattern Paper to use as your background. Add the Apple Sprinkles to the background making sure they are positioned in the right area. Remove the release sheet from the Acetate Panel and adhere to the background. Adhere the whole panel to the card front using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 4 – Diecut Happy using Red Cardstock (The die is from my stash). I diecut the shadow die using Black Cardstock. Assemble and adhere to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 5 – Stamp Happy Fall Y’All sentiment using Versamark on Red Cardstock. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a heat tool. Trim the edges and adhere to card front using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive and a small piece of Foam Tape underneath on the left side.

This card can be used for many occasions by changing the patterned paper, sentiments and sprinkles. Below is a link to all the products used. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
