    Merry Christmas Shadow Die Cards

Hi everyone, it’s Caren here today.  What did you guys think of the new release?  So many great dies and the design did a fabulous job showing them off.

I love them all, but the Merry Christmas Shadow die might just be my favorite.  I love the size of it and how easy it is to make quick and easy cards.  Also, I get to use all my patterned paper with it!  Today, I have several cards using this die.  If you mass produce cards, this die makes it a snap.  The longest part of making these cards was choosing my paper!

I used the same design for all the cards, just used different patterned paper.  As you see, the die is the focal point and big enough that you don’t really need to add anything else to the cards.

Here is the introduction video to this die with a few more examples.

Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!  Here is a link to the Kat Scrappiness shop and direct links for products I used on these cards are below.  Get this die (plus other goodies) for 15% off in the store thru November 8th by using code COFFEE2019.

    A Classic Holiday Card

Hi Everyone, It’s Tina here. By now you have seen the new Holiday release. Today’s card is featuring the Christmas Tree Coverplate die. I decided to use it in a different way. Below you will find the steps to create your own card.

    Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, score at 4 1/4” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card (A2)

Step 2 – Trim Red Metallic Cardstock to 5 1/2” x 4 1/4”. Adhere to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 3 – Trim Gold Metallic Mirror Cardstock to 5 1/2” x 4”. Adhere to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 4 – Trim Red Metallic Cardstock to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. Using any foil press machine you have trim foil paper to the size of the Christmas Tree Coverplate. Using the sandwich that your machine advises foil the Christmas Tree Coverplate onto Red Metallic Paper with Gold Foil. Trim Cardstock and adhere to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 5 – Diecut Merry Christmas With Shadow Die (on the word Merry) x 3. Two scratch piece of cardstock and one Gold Metallic cardstock. Adhere all 3 using Collage Medium with the Gold on top. Adhere to card using Collage Medium.

Step 6 – Stamp Merry Critters sentiment using Versamark on Red Metallic Cardstock. Sprinkle Gold Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a heat tool. Trim and adhere to card using Collage Medium.

If you don’t have a Foil Press Machine you can the Christmas Tree Coverplate as a stencil with Deco Foil Transfer Gel onto Red Metallic Cardstock. Let it dry and apply Gold Foil. Pass it through a Laminator and remove the Gold Foil.

Christmas Cover Plates with Martha Lucia

Hi there, Martha Lucia here with you. I want to share the new Christmas Cover Plates from Kat Scrappiness. I am fascinated with them because they are elegant, beautiful and versatile!

Christmas Cover Plates with Martha Lucia

The first, is this Chirstmas Tree Cover Plate. The size is just perfect to create a entire layout. This design don’t require a lot of work but invite you to use different textures or materials. I used Gold Glitter Sheets from Tim Holtz. Mime were adhesive and to give more dimension, I paste it over regular card stock and then I passed it through the big shot with the Christmas Tree Cover Plate.

Christmas Cover Plates with Martha Lucia

I added the die cut piece over a real red card base using double sided foam tape. As final touch, I added some Brown Jewels from the Kat Scrappiness Collection.

My next project is using the second die cut released today, the Ornament Strip Cover Plate. This has a complete strip of ornaments with great design and dimension!

Christmas Cover Plates with Martha Lucia

I die cut the Ornament Strip Cover Plate using Whisper White card stock and blue glitter sheet. I pasted both pieces with a few lines of difference to create the sensation of movement.

Christmas Cover Plates with Martha Lucia

I completed the design with a sentiment from the stamp set Merry Critters from Kat Scrappiness.

The third project is a card that I made for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

Christmas Cover Plates with Martha Lucia

I made this inspired in one design of my team mate Angie Cimbalo. She sent me a card recently and I love it.

Christmas Cover Plates with Martha Lucia

To make this, I used the Stamp Set Let’s Get Caffeinated. But let me share the easy steps to create this. First I die cut a zig zag stitched circle from a whisper white card stock and from soft suede card stock, both the same sizes. Then with masking paper and distress ink I created the color strips. I used Mowed Lawn, Fossilized Amber and Fired Brick Distress Ink. To finalize the design, I stamped the sentiment message and some coffee grains using Memento Rhubarb Stalk Ink. I pasted both pieces a little moved over the whisper white card base and added a strip of designer paper on the left border.

You can find these products now on Kat Scrappiness Store and remember that this week the entire store is 15% Off for Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

    Coffee Lover Gift Card Holder

    Coffee Lovers Unite!

Who does’t know someone that is a coffee addict? We all know them and think about the perfect gift for them at this time of year. Well how about a gift card to their favorite coffee shop?

This is a simple gift card holder decorated with the KS Layered Coffee Cup Die. I embossed snowflakes on the body of the cup in Brutus Monroe Alabaster Embossing Powder. I made a stitched tag stamped with a Honey Bee sentiment from the Blah Blah Blah Stamp Set. The insulated sleeve was die cut from corrugated Craft paper. A half Circle was punched in the side of the holder to make it easy to remove the gift card. How simple is this gift card holder to make? (This would be great for any type of gift card.) Cheers
