For the second day, we are showcasing the Floral Heart Die and the Valentine Word Search Panel die with some new sprinkles.

For today’s reveal, our YouTube Design Team members are joining us and they have videos to show you how they made their cards.  Are you ready to see the samples?

    ADAM KARLE

Adam created two incredible cards!  The first one shows a bit of a “grunge, non-traditional Valentine’s look”  using the new Floral Heart die and combining it with the I Love You die.

    CAREN BARTHOLOMEW

I always ADORE Caren’s clean and simple cards.  The first one showcases the Floral Heart against her ink-blended background adding the word “love” from the I Love You die set.  The second one card is so clever, highlighting the words “XOXO, Hugs” with pink card stock and adding the pink and white bow and pink heart droplets just completed this design.  Amazing!

    DAWN SOTO

Loving the cards created by Dawn.  She will  have a YouTube video showing how she made her card so please stay tuned.

    JO THOMPSON

Wow!  Words cannot even describe how much I love Jo’s cards!  She has a process video for you today showing how she made her cards.

Here is a special treat from Jo with her process video:

    KATHY SCHWEINFURTH

I just LOVE Kathy’s cards! I honestly can’t even pick a favorite.  Both cards showcases the new dies and some of the new srinkles available now at the shop.

    LISA GOLZBEIN

Loving the ink-blended background on Lisa’s cards with the white Floral Heart as her main focal point.  She also added some of the flower sprinkles avialable at the shop.

    MARIA RUSSELL

I went for a clean and simple design on my first card, adding some crystal jewels on the focal point.

For my second card, I ink-blended the panel with scattered straw, worn lipstick and festive berries and use the Word Search Panel die to die-cut the piece.  I added glossy accents to the words “love you” for added texture and dimension.

    MEGHAN KENNIHAN

Meghan’s cards are always beautiful and cheerful!  I love that she die-cut the floral heart die three times to adorn her card and used the “love” from the I Love You die set.  The red jewels are also available at the shop.

    PRISCILLA JOSEPH

Wow, wow, wow! Priscilla’s cards are AMAZING! The second card is so much fun,  She used the Word Search die and highlighted the words “you are”, then adding the “spectacular” with the cute pink glasses.  Priscilla also added the two gold hearts using the new 6 mm Matte Gold Hearts available at the shop.  Such a clever design!

Would you like to win the new dies (and some sprinkles) we showcased today?   One lucky winner will win the Floral Heart die and one lucky winner will win the Word Search Panel die.

For today’s reveal, our YouTube Design Team members are joining us and they have videos to show you how they made their cards.  Are you ready to see the samples?

    ADAM KARLE

Adam’s non-traditional Valentine’s card is so unique and we are loving the new purple sprinkles that he added to adorn the card.

Loving this card with the new pink sprinkles and the Hearts panel die in black against the stripe pink background.  He also used the “love” sentiment from the I Love You Shadow die set.

    CAREN BARTHOLOMEW

Caren die-cut the Happy Valentine’s Day sentiment on silver card stock and adhered it on a black panel using the shadow die.  She also used the new red sprinkle to replace the dot that matches her background.

I am loving the colors behind the Hearts Panel die in different shades of pink with silver and black.  This card is so simple but definitely packs a punch!

    DAWN SOTO

Loving both cards created by our talented Dawn.  She has a process video to share with you below.

    JO THOMPSON

Our amazing and talented DT member, Jo combined the Hearts Panel and the Happy Valentine’s sentiment and created a Valentine’s shaker card using the new sprinkles.  The hearts was die-cut using the Embossed Edge Hearts dies which happens to be 20% off this month!

Here is a special treat from Jo with her process video:

    KATHY SCHWEINFURTH

New DT member, Kathy created two amazing cards using the new dies and adorning it with the new sprinkles available at the shop.

    LISA GOLZBEIN

I love the scallop heart against the Happy Valentine’s sentiment that Lisa die-cut with glittered card stock.  She has mixed and matched the new dies with some of our previously released Stitched Fancy Scalloped Hearts with the Stitched Fancy scalloped Rectangle dies and and created two beautiful cards.

    MEGHAN KENNIHAN

What can I say about Meghan’s cards? ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!  Meghan used one of our shaker kits (releasing on January 19) that she embossed with some red embossing powder.  She also used some Valentine’s confetti as her shaker element.  The sentiment is from the new Happy Valentine’s Day sentiment with shadow that she die-cut using some red card stock to match her background.

    PRISCILLA JOSEPH

I just love the classy patterned paper that Priscilla used as her background on her first card.  She die-cut the sentiment using the new Happy Valentine’s Day sentiment die and adhered it on some vellum.  She adorned her card with a black heart that matches the sentiment and added the Red Heart droplets.

Lacy Layered Love card and an Announcement

Good morning crafty friends! It’s Lisa here on the blog with you today and

I have some exciting news to share! As of today I am

re-joining the Kat Scrappiness design team. I am so happy to be back on the team

and designing for Kat again! Those of you who shop at Kat Scrappiness often know

what a variety of crafty products she carries in her online shop, not to mention the

growing number of products being released under the Kat Scrappiness brand name.

And all of this at excellent prices!

All of my nested background dies are from Kat and I reach for them

on almost every card I make!

For my first project back on the team I made a Valentine’s Day

inspired card to put you in the mood for the new release!

You’re definitely going to want to check back in the shop on

January 17th, 18th and 19th to see all of the wonderful new Valentine’s products

    being released!

Here is the recipe for today’s card:

    1) Cut a panel of white Bristol Smooth Cardstock with the largest die in the

    Stitched Scalloped Square Dies.

    2) With a cloud stencil, blend some

Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink on your scalloped panel

in varying heights. Adhere stenciled panel to square card base.

    3) Die cut the solid heart from the Lacy Layered Heart Die

from Bristol Smooth Cardstock and the Lacy cover die from vellum.

    4) Do some ink blending in rainbow colors on the solid heart and then

lay the lacy vellum over the rainbow heart.  It looks so pretty to see the

pretty rainbow colors peaking through the lace.

    5) Lastly adhere the heart shaped die to the cloud blended background

and die cut the word “love” from the I Love You Shadow Dies

out of silver foil cardstock. Adhere the “love” die cut over the lacy heart.

Here are the Kat Scrappiness products used on my card:

    Lacy Layered Heart Die

    I Love You Shadow Dies

    Stitched Scalloped Square Dies

“I Had No Idea That ONE Rubber Stamp Purchase . . .” | Celebrating One Year on the Kat Scrappiness Design Team

Hi Everyone, it’s Priscilla here. This month represents my 1 year anniversary as a full-time design team member for Kat Scrappiness. I have loved working with Kat and the Team! Such a family atmosphere and a positive experience.

Here is one of very first cards I posted on Kat‘s blog . . . .

What a better way to honor this exciting new challenge in my life than with a card that celebrates 18 years total of stamping/card making, starting with my first rubber stamp purchase back in 2002. I had no idea . . .

To create this card, I used one of  Kat‘s “Layering Nested Hearts Dies,” one of the “Stitched Scalloped Heart Dies,” Riley & Co’s “Stamping Riley” cling stamp, and Riley’s “One Stamp” sentiment stamp. I colored in all the images with Copic Markers.

I added Kat‘s “Pastel Scissors” sequins on Riley’s desk and the “Red Heart Droplets” above his head.

Thanks for stopping by! And don’t forget to check out what’s NEW in Kat’s Shop, and follow my blog and Instagramfor more “Kat Scrappiness Amazingness”!

Quick and Easy Love You Card

    Hello card making friends,

Wanted to share my colorful Valentine card with you today. This is a quick and easy card great for mass production.

I started by cutting 1/4 inch pieces of various patterned paper. These pieces I attached to an A-2 layer 2 piece of cardstock.

Next I cut a Neenah white layer 1. Then using the Kat Scrappiness Large Alphabet Dies I die cut love into the center of the layer.

The layer 1 was attached to the stripped layer allowing the colors to show through.

I die cut the word “you” out of pink card stock and added some pink hearts. I then added a thin black frame. Finally I put the layers onto a matching pink card base.

    Supply List:

    KS – large Alphabet Dies

KS – Condensed Uppercase Alphabet Dies

    Neenah White 110# card stock
