    Hello, Dam here to share this card made with the Koala-Ty birthday card using the Kat Scrappiness Stamp Set Koala-Ty Time. This sweet koala and baby would make a great focal image on many types of cards.

    I generally start my cards by choosing the colors and cutting the pieces for the background of the card. I die cut many eucalyptus stems in teal and gray. Next an A-2 white layer one and diamonds in black and a smaller one in white were cut.

    All the eucalyptus pieces were arranged onto the layer and attached using foam tape to add dimension to the card. The white layer was affixed to a black layer a scant bit bigger. This was then attached to a standard card base in teal.

    The focal image was stamped and cut out. I colored it using Copic markers.

    Finally the sentiment was embossed onto a black banner and the diamonds, koalas and sentiment were attached. I am pleased with the result and hope you all like it too.

    Shaker Card Kits Made Simple

    Hi Everyone, it’s Tina here. I often get messages on social media and emails asking how I make shaker cards. Kat Scrappiness has a wide selection of Shaker Cards Kits that makes it super easy for those who find it challenging. It has all you pieces you need so there is no guess work. Below you will find two examples and both cards took little time to make.

    Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, score at 4 1/4” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2)

    Step 2 – Trim Patterned Paper or DIY Background to 5 1/2” x 4 1/4”. Diecut Double Stitched Rectangles and adhere to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

    Step 3 – Apply the Shaker Element Paw Print to the card front using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. Fill the center with Brown Paw Print Sprinkles. Adhere the Clear Acetate on top using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. Decorate the Frame Overlay. I used an Alcohol Marker and adhere on top using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

    Step 4 – Add a Dog image or character and then a sentiment.

    Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, score at 4 1/4” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2)

    Step 2 – Create a Cloud Background from a diecut or cut it out freehand to use as a stencil and apply ink directly on the card front. Move the stencil around and repeat to create layers.

    Step 3 – Apply the Shaker Element Small Cloud to the card front using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. Fill the center with Small Rainbow Sprinkles. Adhere the Clear Acetate on top using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. Decorate the Frame Overlay. I used an Alcohol Marker and adhere on top using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

    Step 4 – Diecut and assemble Cute Layered Owl and adhere to card using Foam Tape.

    Step 5 – Diecut and colour a rainbow. If you do not have a rainbow die then diecut Never Ending Circles by using 2 dies together. Trim and adhere to card.

    Step 6 – Stamp a sentiment and adhere to card.

    “Koala-ty Time” | Birthday and Mother’s Day Cards

    Hi Everyone, it’s Priscilla here. Today I have two cards that showcase the new stamp set in the Kat Scrappiness shop called “Koala-ty Time.”

    My first card uses one of the two adorable koalas in the stamp set for a birthday card.

     

    I colored the koala with the Stampin’-Up “Pool Party” alcohol markers and softened it out with a blender pen before die cutting it out using my Brother “Scan-n-Cut” machine.I also used the SU “Pool Party” ink pad to create a soft circle background for my koala. I stamped a line border with foliage on the left and bottom of the card using brown ink and painted the leaves with Distress Ink in “Evergreen Bough.” The sentiment, “Have a Koala-ty Birthday!” was stamped also with the “Evergreen Bough” ink. I used Kat‘s new “Brown Confetti Sprinkles” for a final touch.

     

    My second card used the other koala image to create a Mother’s Day card.

    I created a slimline card base(8.5″ x 3.5″) and added patterned paper, die cut with one of the new Kat Scrappiness“Embossed Edge Nesting Slimline Dies.”  Inside of that , I adhered a white panel, die cut with one of the new “Stitched Scalloped Nesting Slimline Dies.” I die cut the “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment out of rust card stock and triple layered it for a 3-D effect.The mom & baby koala was colored with a gold-brown Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend marker and softened with a blender pen. I adhered the koala on a bed of foliage and flowers created with dies from my stash.

    Let’s Shake It Up!

    Are you ready to shake it up?!  The new Kat Scrappiness Shaker Kits and Confetti Sprinkles are SO fun with loads of creative possibilities!  

    For my first card, I layered pattern paper onto the cardbase then cut navy cardstock with one of the new Stitched Scallop Nesting Slim Dies.  Using the Dog House Shaker Kit, I added these fun sprinkles:  Bright Yellow Confetti, Dark Blue Hearts and Brown Paw Prints.  To complete the card, I used Pet Sentiments Brush Script Word Dies for the paw prints and ‘woof’.

    During ‘social distancing’ it seems the way folks have been celebrating birthdays and other special occasions is by car caravan!  I thought this Car Shaker Kit would perfectly depict how we’re still getting some in-person ‘face time’ with our friends and family while staying safe.

    I used the new Embossed Edge Nesting Slimline Dies as the base and one of the smaller of these dies to create the ‘road’.  For the shaker, I painted the car with acrylic paints and filled it with an assortment of sequins/sprinkles:  Small Rainbow Sprinkles, Be Mine sequins and Red Confetti Sprinkles.  I placed silver cardstock behind the ‘window’ part and added the bunny image from Kat Scrapiness Merry Critters stamp set.  To finish, I added the die cut words from “Hello My Crafty Friend” die set.

    Hello crafty friends! It’s Lisa from Oh So Cute By Lisa and I am up on the blog today with this fun shaker card!

    Today is day 3 of the new releases at Kat Scrappiness and the design team and I are featuring shaker cards made with easy to use shaker kits! The shaker kit I used to make this card is called the
