Happy Tuesday Crafty Friends! Priscilla here from the Kat Scrappiness Design Team. Today I am sharing a two-page art journal spread using several new coffee-related products from Kat Scrappiness. I can’t fully function in the morning until after I’ve downed my first of many MUGS of coffee. I am sure many of you can relate?

Journal Creation Details: 

• Created a backdrop by “priming” the pages with white Gesso paint to create a textured surface to work on.
• Sponged Distress Oxide inks in “Aged Mahogany” and “Ground Espresso” over the pages.
• Splattered brown and white paint and water droplets over both pages.
• Added coffee splatter from the new Kat Scrappiness Coffee Splatter stencil using white embossing paste tinted with the “Ground Espresso” Distress Oxide re-inker.
• Used a distress patterned rubber stamp and “Ground Espresso” ink to add additional texture on both pages.

• Stamped/die cut all the elements for the two-page spread using several Kat Scrappiness products:
  • Cuppa Love Shaker Card Dies
  • Stitched Upper Case Alphabet Dies
  • Perk Up Stamp Set
  • Perk Up 6×8″ Paper Pad
  • Heartfelt Wishes Slimline Paper Pad
  • Everything Quokka Set and Dies

• Adhered the title “Coffee Love” across the top using the Stitched Upper Case Alphabet Dies and a polka dot patterned paper from the Perk Up paper pad.

• Die cup the 3 coffee cups from the Cuppa Love Shaker Card Dies using the Kat Scrappiness Heartfelt Wishes Slimline Paper Pad, and again using Kraft cardstock.
• Stamped 3 of the coffee sentiments from the Perk Up Stamp Set onto the Kraft cardstock and burnished the edges with “Ground Espresso” ink.
• Die cut the spoon from the Cuppa Love Shaker Card Dies set using the same polka dot paper as the title.
• Stamped and die cut the Quokka and coffee cup from the Everything Quokka Stamp/ Die set and colored them with Copic markers.
• Adhered all the die cuts across the 2 pages.
  
          
• Added 3 Kat Scrappiness Red Heart Sprinkles near the coffee-loving Quokka for the finishing touch.
