Avocado Sushi Birthday Shaker
Hi there, it’s Lisa here with you from Oh So Cute By Lisa sharing another Kat Scrappiness inspired card!I’m excited to share a shaker card with you today that I made! I used quite a few products from the Kat Scrappiness store to make this fun card. Here are all the details:To start my card I colored the cute images from the You Guac My World Stamp Set and theWok On Stamp Set. I decided to use one image from each set for my card. The next step was to cut the front panel of the card using the Stitched Scalloped Collage Frame Die which served as the perfect shaker window. It’s great because it makes 3 windows that you can put different shaker bits in. I backed that frame with a piece of acetate from the A2 Acetate Sheets and then built the back of it up with foam tape. Now it was time to prepare the base of the card. I used the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Dies and I cut out a piece of pink polka dot paper for my background. Before I adhered that panel to the base of my A2 sized card I stamped 2 sentiments in black ink from the You Guac My World andWok On Stamp Sets in the space that will be the largest window opening. I embossed it with clear embossing powder to give it a shiny appearance. Now the fun part! Adding the sprinkles to the card! The technique that I use is to put my sprinkles on the base of the card and place the frame with the foam tape over those sprinkles. This way I can see the sprinkles and the base of the card and I can place the window down in the exact center of that base panel.I chose 3 different embellishments for my shaker windows. I used the Avocado Sprinkles and the Sushi Sprinkles for the two smaller windows and I used the 3mm Mirrored Clear Solid Stars for the largest window with the sentiment. The last thing to do was adhere the two little avocado and sushi images to the front of the card. Here’s a closeup of those fun sprinkles:This was a fun card to make and it always amazes me how many products you can use on one card. Kat Scrappiness has so many awesome stamps dies and embellishments in the store, you can find EVERYTHING you need and so much more! Here is one more look at my card with all the supplies shown:Thank you so much for joining me today, I’m so glad you stopped by to check out my latest card and I hope you’ll check out all the fun shaker bits in the store and make your own card.Don’t forget to followKat Scrappiness on allsocial media platforms to be alerted to new releases, sales and giveaways!Have a great day, I already am!? Soy Amazing
Happy Crafters!
Today we have a sushi card for that special person that likes sushi and is deserving of some praise. Kat Scrappiness Wok On Stamp Set is perfect for this simple card.

I started with stamping chop sticks onto the card base to create the background. Being a bit frugal, I cut a smaller layer out of black glitter paper then cut out an even smaller rectangle to be used in a future card. Embossed the sentiment from the stamp set in Alabaster (Brutus Monroe) available at Kat Scrappiness. A small strip of glitter paper to put behind the sentiment and the white layer for the focus stamps were cut using card stock available also at Kat Scrappiness.

Now for the focus of the card and all the fun of coloring. I chose some sushi pieces and condiments to stamp, color, and cut out.

Assembled all the layers and stamped pieces to create the final project. I added a few sequins and the job was finished.

Sprinkle Shaker Cards | Kat Scrappiness September Release
Hi Everyone, it’s Priscilla here. Today I have two shaker cards that feature Kat‘s new sprinkles and acetate sheets from her September release. Let’s get started!
My first card is all about penguins!

I first colored Gerda Steiner‘s “Long Time No See” penguin image with Spectrum Noir “Tri-Blend” markers and cut it out with my Brother “Scan N’Cut” machine. I mounted it on a background I created using a cloud stencil and Distress Oxide inks. I added a Kat Scrappiness“Bunny Tails” white pom-pom to the penguin’s hat.
Next, I created the shaker element using Kat’s “Stitched Scalloped Collage Frame” die and black card stock. After adhering one of the new “A2 Acetate Sheets” to the back of the die cut frame, I placed the Darice “Double-Sided Foam Sticky Strips” all around the edges. These foam strips are a MUST when you are working with any kind of narrow die frame.
I carefully poured the Kat Scrappiness “White Snowflake Sprinkles” in the top section and the new “Penguin Sprinkles” in the bottom section before adhering the finished background over the shaker frame.
A yellow Kat Scrappiness “Hello Brush Script & Sentiment” die was the finishing touch!
My second card features the previously released “Wok On” stamp set combined with Kat’s new “Sushi Sprinkles.”

I assembled this shaker card in the same manor as the penguin card. Once again I colored the stamped images and die cut them out. I stamped the sentiment “I Like the Way You Roll” from the “Wok On” stamp set and white heat embossed it for the background in the top left section. I carefully poured the “Sushi Sprinkles” in the bottom section of the “Stitched Scalloped Collage Frame,” once again using the Darice “Double-Sided Foam Sticky Strips” to make adhering a narrow shaker frame so easy to do.
I love the way both cards turned out!

I Like The Way You Roll By Meghan Kennihan
Hi Crafty Friends,
Have you seen the FUNNY PUN Sushi Set from Kat Scrappiness? It’s called WOK On! And I love it. I don’t even really eat sushi but it’s just soooo cute and I am a sucker for puns!
Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: I want to hear your favorite pun!
A: Me? You hold the KIWI to my heart! Because Kiwis are my favorite fruit!
I started my card by coloring the sushi and yes, I had to google what it looked like so I got the colors right! The copics I used are below.
Next, I die cut my circles from the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Rope Circle dies from all different patterned papers. I then doodled the little stitching around all the borders and finished my card with the fun sentiment and the half bead pearls that are NAMED AFTER ME 🙂 Meghan Green from Ink Road Stamps. Thanks for stopping by! 5 Cards 1 Stamp Set with Wok On

Hello crafty friends! Do you ever get a new stamp set and know you could make oodles of great cards with it, but realize, a few months later, you’ve only used it maybe once? Today’s post was inspired by the idea of getting several uses out of a single stamp set in a single crafting session. When I want to make a batch of cards I tend to decide on some unifying things to make the process a little faster and then add unique touches to each one. To hear more about my thought process making these cards check out the video below:
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jU1NDOUuHJA]
For my card set today I used one of the newest releases from Kat Scrappiness Wok On. This has so many images that are easy to color and also very easy to cut. I fussy cut all the images today. I decided to start with some common things I could do on each card to make the process a bit faster. I decided I would cut the main decorated panel using the Cross Stitched Rectangle die from Kat Scrappiness. Then I added a layer of colored cardstock and a layer of black to each card. The extra layer of mats helps the cards pop a bit and makes them clean and simple designs carry a bit more visual weight.

I colored all the images with Copic markers and once I picked a few markers I tried to use the same ones repeatedly to save time. I also used the markers to color the mats so that I wouldn’t waste time trying to find something that coordinated from my stash.

Each of the colored images was popped up to help it stand out a bit more. I have taken to layering scraps of cardstock to create my own pop ups instead of using foam. I like that I can control the thickness, save money, and use up what would otherwise be waste.

Finally each card was finished off with some Kat Scrappiness jewels or sequins. While picking out the perfect embellishment for each card was a bit time consuming it is definitely one of the fun parts of crafting for me but you could save time by using the Kat Scrappiness Black Jewels for each one since they would all match those.

Feel free to let me know which of the cards was your favorite or share a tip for how to make multiples cards more quickly. I love that I got so much use out of one new stamp set. Now to go craft with all the other new sets I have yet to ink up. If you’re reading this the day it’s posted check out the Memorial Day sale and use the code MEMDAY19 to save or on a different day you can always save with the code JESS10.

Wok On by Martha Lucia
Hi there! Today I’m sharing two projects featuring the Wok On stamp set released a few days ago.

My first card was made with Bazzill Basics Paper, combined some die cuts from Kat Scrappiness. I stamped the images of the stamp set Wok On onto whisper white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Alcohol Markers. I fussy cut the sushi images with my scissors and the sentiment with the Stitched Sentiment Strips.

Using the same color of Bazzill Basics Paper that I used for the card base, I die cut the Mandala Die by Kat Scrappiness and pasted it over the decorated card base using double sided foam tape. Then I arranged the images and pasted them over the mandala.

For my second card, I used more images included on the stamp set Wok On. To make this card I also used cardstocks from Bazzill Basics Paper. I created the background using the Medallion Cover Plate from Kat Scrappiness released a few months ago. I colored this directly with the ink pads to create a wood texture and made it more special.

The Wok on images from the stamp set Wok On and sentiment were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Alcohol Markers. I used one of the dies included on the Stitched Sentiment Strips.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my card. If you want to purchase this stamp set or any other product that I used, you can visit Kat Scrappiness Store, and make sure you use my code Martha10 to save 10% on your order.

May Release: Wok On!
The new May Release stamp set, “Wok On!” is my favorite. And that’s coming from someone that’s never eaten sushi! The images are adorable and the sentiments so punny. Don’t you just want to pinch the “cheeks” on those sushi rolls! LOL!

So rather than google the “correct” coloring for sushi and all its accoutrements, I decided to think “outside the box” and color them non-traditionally. Plus, I wanted to use the sentiment “I Like the Way You Roll,” as if the two matching sushis are accepting the turquoise one for being different, and it’s ok. Whew! We’re getting deep here! LOL!

I used my Brother Scan N Cut machine to cut out the rolls and then colored them with Copic markers. The background was created with a square stencil opening in which I blended a wash of pink Distress Oxide shades before using a cloud stencil for added texture. Kat‘s “Sparkling Clear Droplets” highlighted the fish eyes and Nuvo Dream Drops in “Love Potion” made those cheeks just pop!
For my second card, the turquoise sushi made another appearance, but this time he’s hanging out with his buddy, “Soy.”

Once again, I colored the images with Copic markers before adhering them to the “Wood Floor” die cut from Penny Black. The flowers adhered to the teal background are actually stickers from my stash. I stamped the sentiment onto one of Kat‘s “Stitched Sentiment Strips” dies, before adding Kat’s orange and yellow “jewels” to the centers of the flowers.
