    • Die cut Happy Summer from the NEW Happy Summer with Shadow Die and the elements from the NEW Summer Fun Essentials die set and add the elements to the card.
    • Finished off the card by adding the NEW Espresso AB Pearl Mix to the star fish and the flip flops.

  • Happy Summer Waterside Scene Card

    Happy Summer Waterside Scene Card

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. The new release is here and have you seen the A2 Waterside die? With one die you can create a stunning waterside scene. Below you will find the steps to create your own card.

    Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, score at 4 1/4” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2)

Step 2 – Optional – Apply Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean to a Gel Plate and place White Cardstock trimmed to 5 1/2” x 4 1/4”. Gently rub on the backside of the cardstock. Remove and you have a base to use for your water and sky.

Step 3 – Diecut A2 Waterside in various colors of cardstock (including the background created from Step 2). (Tip place the cardstock in the section you want to avoid wasting cardstock. Adhere the frame to the card front using Bearly Art Precision Glue and then start to build the scene. You can add some shading to the sky using the bottom section of the die as a stencil and add some ink to the edges. I created my island in the middle but you can change it to the bottom. This die is very versatile and can also be converted to create a Mini Slimline Card.

Step 4 – Diecut Happy Summer die (word only) using Black Cardstock 3 times for added dimension. Glue each diecut stacking them then adhere to card using Bearly Art Precision Glue.

Step 5 – For added interest randomly adhere Carolina Blue Pearl Mix using a Pick Up Tool and Bearly Art Precision Glue.

You can change up the Waterside by changing the island to the bottom or changing the color of the sky to a sunset. The possibilities are endless. There is a 15% Memorial Day Sale Site Wide (excluding new release). Use MEMDAY2021 at checkout. Sale end May 31st. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
