Give Thanks Die Cut Card by Martha Lucia

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here. Welcome to Kat Scrappiness Blog! Have you seen the most recently addition of die cuts? OMG, I am fascinated and for today I will show you a Give Thanks Die Cut Card created with slimline dies and Decorative dies.

Give Thanks Die Cut Card by Martha Lucia

I love to create cards combining different products and this time I made a slimline card and die cut the second layer using textured card stock and one of the dies included on the Distressed Edge Nesting Slimline Dies. I believe these  distressed edge dies are gorgeous to obtain different looks and for my card it is perfect. I pasted the distressed layer directly over a white card base.

In a separate piece of white card stock, I stamped some of the images included on the stamp set Happy Fall Y’all and colored them with Illustrator Markers from Spectrum Noir. Then, I fussy cut all with scissors and arranged them over the decorated card base using crafty foam tape.

To finalize the card, I die cut the Give Thanks Wreath Die onto purple card stock and edited in my way with scissors to use only the sentiment and coordinate the images with my stamped leaves. I loved how it turned out and to give more dimension, I just pasted with crafty foam tape.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope inspire you with my card! Have a wonderful week!

Give Thanks Wreath Shaker and Mason Jar Fall Decor By Meghan Kennihan

    Hi Crafty Friends,

I’m sharing a GORGEOUS NEW Die from Kat Scrappiness for you today. It’s perfect for fall and the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday. I decided to make glittery shaker for this delicate die that looks fancy but is SUPER easy to create.

    Make Crafty Friends Q & A:

Q: What are your grateful for?

A: Me? My darling BEST Friends MADDIE (my puppy)

I started by cutting the frame using out NEW Embossed Edged Rectangle Dies and the Give Thanks Wreath Die out of brown paper.

Next, I added Kat Scrappiness Acetate to the back of the Embossed Edge frame and then glued the wreath onto the acetate.

I added Kat Scrappiness Chocolate Sprinkles to the inside for my shaker piece, added Nuvo Glitter Accents Aztec Gold drops to the acorns, and finished the edges with Kat Scrappiness Brown Jewels.

http://bit.ly/359nsBMhttp://bit.ly/2LNCkhqhttp://bit.ly/2LNCkhqI also used this fabulous die to create a fun fall decoration for my mantle! A mason jar with mini lights inside!

I used ModPodge to glue and seal the Give Thanks Wreath Die onto the mason jar.

I painted the silver part with primer, then gold paint.

I die cut the leaves from matching paper using My Creative Time Autumn Leave Dies and glued them to the piece of twine.

I bought the jar lights on Amazon for $8 for a pack of six! They are battery operated.

  • Happy Thanksgiving – Give Thanks Wreath

Happy Thanksgiving – Give Thanks Wreath

Did everyone get a chance to celebrate World Card Making Day this weekend?  I was able to make several cards that I will be sharing throughout the month.

I have a Thanksgiving card today featuring the Give Thanks Wreath die.  I love this die, it is so versatile.  On my card, I just used the wreath portion of the die.

I used a stencil and some distress inks to create the striped panel and die cut it using the Embossed Edge Rectangle dies.  I stamped/heat embossed the sentiment from the Happy Fall Y’all stamp set onto this panel using Versamark ink and copper embossing powder.  The pumpkins (also from the Happy Fall Y’all set) were heat embossed using copper powder onto white card stock.  I used brushes and distress inks to color the pumpkins and fussy cut them out.

I die cut the Give Thanks Wreath using glitter copper paper and cut out the give thanks sentiment.  I adhered the wreath and pumpkins to my striped panel.  I adhered a piece of aqua patterned paper to my white card base and attached my striped panel using foam adhesive.  To finish off the card, I added three orange jewels.

Here are the links to the introduction videos for the new products just released:

Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!

  • Give Thanks Wreath Card

    Give Thanks Wreath Card

Hi Everyone, it’s Tina here. Today’s card I used the new Give Thanks Wreath die with a simple Distress Oxide Background. Below you will find the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ and fold in half for a vertical side fold card.

Step 2 – Trim White Cardstock to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. Apply Distress Oxide ink using an ink applicator. Starting with the lightest color work it into a circle and build the colors out. I used Wild Honey, Ripe Persimmon, Fired Brick, Dusty Concord.

Step 3 – Diecut Wonky Wavy Stitched Rectangles using the background created from Step 2. Adhere to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 4 – Diecut Give Thanks Wreath using Black Cardstock. Adhere to front of card using Collage Medium.

Step 5 – For added interest randomly adhere Sequins using a Crystal Katana and collage medium.

There are several ways you can use the Give Thanks Wreath Die. You can change it up by diecuting the Give Thanks Wreath a second time using a different color cardstock and just trim out the sentiment. The sentiment or wreath can also be used alone. Below is a link to all the products used. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Give Thanks Dies by Martha Lucia

Hello there, Martha Lucia here with you. Today I am featuring with detail four of the new die cuts released yesterday and today. I am so happy with these designs and I am sure that they fill out our expectations. Let me start with the cards:

Give Thanks Dies by Martha Lucia

The base of my card is Basic Black card stock and the second layer is Very Vanilla. I cut several embossed squares dies of medium size to create the colorful background and I just arranged all the die cut pieces over the second layer. After paste all the embossed squares, I die cut the Gift Thanks shadow word die, using vellum for the mat and Rinea Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper for the letters. I pasted the entire word over the decorated background using double sided foam tape behind of the big letters. As final touch I stamped some leaves from the stamp set Happy Fall Y’all onto whisper white card stock and colored them with Illustrator Markers from Spectrum Noir.

My next card was made using the Give Thanks Wreath released yesterday and the Embossed Edge Rectangle Dies.

Give Thanks Dies by Martha Lucia

I cut a card base using Rich Razzleberry card stock. I dry embossed the second layer with the Leaves Swirl Darice Embossing Folder and pasted it directly over the card base. Then I cut several layers of the Give Thanks Wreath die using Old Olive card stock. I pasted the layers of the Give Thanks Wreath using on point glue. I also cut one Give Thanks Wreath onto Daffodil Delight card stock and with scissors cut the sentiment and pasted it over the top green layer.
