    Hot Chocolate Tag

Hello Friends!! Nora here with a Christmas tag I created with the NEW Kat Scrappiness Cuppa Love Shaker Card Dies.

I like to mix up my dies and see how I can use them in different ways. I wanted to make a tag with the Cuppa Love Shaker Card Dies but make it a hot cocoa cup. I combed through my dies to see if I could find something that I could use for whip cream. I found it in the “frosting die” in the Kat Scrappiness Heart Donut Builder Dies.

Here is how I created this card:

    • Die cut a gingerbread man from kraft cardstock using the Kat Scrappiness Design a Gingerbread Man Die. Die cut the eyes from black cardstock and the eyebrows and frosting from white cardstock.  Adhere it behind the cup.

    • Tie some twine around the cup handle. Adhere a Christmas Candy Sprinkle in the front of the bough. Tape a piece of red twine behind the gingerbread man and your tag is finished!!!

This project is fun and easy to create in multiples. I hope it inspires you to look at your dies a in a different way.

Be sure to stop by the Kat Scrappiness Blog tomorrow to see some other fabulous projects by the Creative Crew.

  • Christmas Ornament

    Christmas Ornament

    Hello Peeps!

I could not wait to share this idea with you today. I decided to make a gift tag using the Kat Scrappiness shaker kit. This way the recipient gets a cute gift tag that later becomes a tree ornament for the following years.

I started with the Christmas tree ornament kit. I painted the outer edge with white craft paint. Next I painted the tree green. I cut out a circle from the Kat Scrappiness Cozy Christmas slim line paper.. I chose the blue with white snowflakes but any of the gorgeous patterns would look great. I glued the dimensional foam ring to the paper. Next I added several of the Christmas sprinkles designs to fill the shaker. Glued the Clear plastic onto the base then glued the wooden ornament on to enclose the sprinkles.

I cut a small tag and piece of cord to add to the “tag” I made so, it could be attached to a package. I believe anyone would love getting a gift with a gift.

I think all of the shaker kits would make great tags. Depending on the  kit, you can create your own gift tags for all occasions.

I  added a mixture of Christmas Candy Sprinkles and Holiday Fun Sequins to the center of my card and mounted the frame with acetate to create my shaker.

I finished the card by adding all the little Merry Critters to the edges of my frame.

  • Shaker Cards in different sizes

    Shaker Cards in different sizes

Hello Kat Scrappiness fans! Martha Lucia here with you. Today I have two fun projects to share with you. I am featuring some of the new Sprinkles in combination with  some of my favorites die cuts and the new acetate sheets.

    Square Shaker Card

My first project is a square shaker card. The base of my card is basic black card stock and the second layer is piece of designer paper.  I die cut two zig zag stitched square dies onto watercolor paper and made a faux watercolor technique over both pieces, using the Double Ended Markers from Leisure Arts and Ink Potion No. 9 over my craft mat. I let the square pieces dry naturally.

    Square Shaker Card

With a perforated flap die from my stash, I die cut the window on the front panel and decorated it with some imagines from the stamp set Mother’s Day Love from Joy Clair Stamps. I colored the stamped images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and pasted a piece of grass that I die cut onto olive green cardstock with one of the dies included on the He is Risen die cuts from Kat Scrappiness.

    Square Shaker Card

To create the window of my square shaker card, I used one of the new acetate sheets from Kat Scrappiness and the Little Piggy Sprinkes in combination with the Blue Kiwaii Cloud Sprinkles. OMG, you have to see the collection of sprinkles, they are amazing and with exclusive designs.

    Square Shaker Card

My second card is a regular size card. I love Christmas and the new release of sprinkles include several christmas designs that are perfect for this season.

This card features the Mandala Frame die and I just die cut a circle with the Never Ending Circle Dies on the center to let see the Christmas Candy Sprinkles. For the background I used Gold/Gold Starstruck Rinea Foiled Paper, this add the shiny touch to my card .I used the circle that I die cut from the center of the Mandala Frame to stamp two images included on the stamp set Dog Gone Christmas from Joy Clair. I colored the Christmas dog with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.
