Good Morning! Today I am showing off the new Valentine Release from Kat Scrappiness. It’s a beauty! I have had so much fun making Valentine’s cards so thought let’s make a postcard. The new A2 Postcard Die is perfect for doing so. So, let’s make a card (or postcard)!
- Start with a piece of red card stock.
- Die cut your post card using the A2 Postcard Die We are really going to get inky!
- Ink blend the edges to add some depth. I used similar shades of ink.Next I used a gold water color paint to splatter the heck out of the card. I also splattered some white paint as well.
- After the panel was completely dry I used the Kat Scrappiness Telescopic Embossing Powder Tool all over the card.
- Then I used the sentiments from the For the Love of Donuts stamp set. These sentiments are so cute. My husband is a bit tired of me telling him “You drive me GLAZY!”….LOL
- I stamped the sentiments in white ink and covered them with white embossing powder and used my heat tool.
- Next, I die cut 3 of the large plain hearts from the Heart Donut Builder dies using Neenah Classic Crest White 110lb card stock. I also cut 2 pieces of white card stock with the frosting die.
- Then I ink blended one of each with some red shades of Distress Oxides. I just went lightly around the edges of the frosting, then splattered it with gold water color paint. I used a heavier hand on the main heart.
- Adhere all of the pieces together.
- There is another frosting die in the Heart Donut Builder set that has small hearts. I took a scrap piece of Memory Box Glitter Paper-Festive Pack, and cut a few hearts for sprinkles. I also cut a few of the tiny hearts from the set in gold glitter paper.
- I stamped our sweet little Dress Up Quokka stamp on a postage shaped die Ihad in my stash. I inked the edges with black ink and added it to a 1.25 x 1.25″ square to look like a postage stamp.
- I added sprinkles from the XOXO Sprinkle Mix and the Lots of Smooches Mix.
- I also cut an A2 panel from black card stock. I adhered the postcard on to this, slightly offset. I think it makes the postcard pop a bit!
That’s it our postcard is complete! What do you think? Let me know in the comments below. Please subscribe to my blog, follow me on Instagram @expressivepaper. You must stop over at the Kat Scrappiness shop and check out these fabulous products.
