    A Fun Valentine Card

Hello everyone!! Nora here on the blog with a fun Valentine card I created using some of the recently released Kat Scrappiness Valentine Products.

This card might look like it has a lot of pieces to it (it does) but it is a relatively easy card to put together.

I began my card by layering a gray pattern piece of paper from the new Kat Scrappiness Spectrum of Love Slimline Paper pack over a white, A2 card base. I then used the newly released Kat Scrappiness Stitched Hearts Cover Plate and the KS Never Ending Circle Die to die cut a white circle. I adhered this over the pattern paper on my card front.

I layered a frosted “donut” that I created using the new Kat Scrappiness Heart Donut Builder Dies, Glossy Accents and Banana Split Sprinkles. Doesn’t it look delicious? Using the Glossy Accents and the Sprinkles helps give the donut a more realistic look.

I heat embossed a sentiment in white from the For the Love of Donuts Stamp Set and a die cut “love” from the Love You Sentiment w/ Shadow Die in black for the sentiment on my card. To complete my project, I added a few embellishments from the XOXO Sprinkles Set randomly around my card. I hope my card inspires you to create your own Valentines!!!

I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by today. Please pop in to the Kat Scrappiness Blog this week for another fabulous project from the Design Team.

    Sealed With a Kiss

Happy Friday crafters, it’s Caren here on the blog today.  I’ve got a sparkly card for you today!

I die cut the Smooches cover plate with black card stock and did not punch out the lip pieces.  I sprayed this with Sparkle Sheer Shimmer spray that the picture doesn’t pick up.  I then die cut the lips that come with the Smooches cover plate from red card stock.  I added sparkle to the lips using a Spectrum Noir sparkle pen and added glossy accents to make them shine.  I die cut SWAK (Sealed with a Kiss) from silver sparkle paper using the condensed lowercase alphabet dies.

I wish the camera could capture all the sparkle on this card.  Hope everyone has a great weekend.  Thanks for stopping by.

    Donut worry, be Happy card!

Hello artisan friends! I’m Laura and today I’m here as a guest designer for @katscrapiness and I’m showing you this Valentine’s card I made with the dies from their new release!! Remember that you can find them in their store !!

To start, I used the mini slimline heart sunburst die with which I cut white cardstock. Next I prepared the background by cutting out a rectangle the same size and painting it with pastel distressed rust inks.

I then prepared the heart shaped donut using the Heart donut builder die , which I also painted with the distress inks and then placed in the center of the card to give it the spotlight!! Lastly, I prepared the sentiment using the ” For the love of Donuts Stamps set “. I did it on a hot embossed black cardboard 😉
Then I assembled the composition and glued all the pieces and that’s it! This is how the card turned out!

I hope you like it and don’t forget to stop by the katscrapiness store  to find these and many other products!!

    See you in another post!!
    The best hugs!

    Intertwined Heart Shaker Card

Hello everyone! Sammi here to share a fun shaker card using the Intertwined Heart dies from the Valentines Release! I love this die and all the fun things you can do with it! I chose to make a shaker card using the fun Candy Land Sprinkles and the Spectrum of Love Slimline Paper. Here is how I made this card:

    1. I cut out the Intertwined Hearts using 110lb Neenah cardstock four times and glued them together to add depth for the shaker card. I then cut out the frame/background die for the Intertwined Hearts and glued the shaker piece to the background. I then cut out the Intertwined Hearts using some pink glitter paper and cut some acetate to size.
    2. I then cut out the inside of the hearts using the Intertwined Hearts die using paper from the Spectrum of Love Slimline Paper and glued the pieces inside of the hearts of the shaker card.
    3. I then added the Candy Land Sprinkles to each heart and glued the acetate and glitter hearts on top to seal the sprinkles in.
    4. I then took a piece of 110lb Neenah cardstock and ink blended it with Distress Inks and added some white ink splatter. You can use acrylic paint for the ink splatter.
    5. I then glued the ink blended piece onto the slimline card base and then glued the Intertwined Hearts shaker piece onto the card base.
    6. I then cut the shadow and Love You of the Love You Word die from some Spectrum of Love paper and popped it up with some foam tape.
    7.  I then added some Pink Lemonade Pearl embellishments to complete the look.

This was such a fun card to make! I love this die and it makes a GREAT shaker card! I hope you have a great day!

Mini Slimline Shaker Hot Cocoa Mix Holder

Hi friends!  I have a Valentine’s Day mini slimline shaker that is also a hot cocoa mix holder!  I couldn’t resist playing with the new Mini Slimline Vine Cover Die and the Mini Slimline Envelopes Dies.

You can see how I put this together in my video below!

I used the new Mini Slimlines Foliage Cover Die as the decoration for the front of my hot cocoa holder. I added some of the new Spectrum of Love patterned paper below the cover die with some of the XOXO Sprinkles.

I selected two of the papers from the Sprectrum of Love paper pack that I had coordinating colors of glitter cardstock for.  I also ink blended the envelope die cut pieces in Peacock and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide inks to coordinate with the patterned paper and glitter cardstock.

You can see that I used the XOXO sprinkles for the teal shaker card and the Lots of Smooches for the pink shaker card.

I love that a packet of hot cocoa mix fits so perfectly inside this mini slimline envelope die set.  Anybody else thinking that this will be a perfect stocking stuffer idea for next Christmas?

I also used the Hugs portion of the Rainbow Hugs word die.  I used a special technique by stacking several of the die cuts together and then clear embossing them to get a shiny enameled look.  This is my DIY Faux enamel technique for word dies!

    Masculine Valentine Slimline Card

Happy Wednesday Everyone! Priscilla here from the Kat Scrappiness Design Team. Today’s card is a slimline Valentine, perfect to give to a male friend in your life. Its bold blue, black, and gold tones give off a masculine vibe versus pink hearts and lacy frills.

I used the just-released Kat Scrappiness Intertwined Hearts Die to make today’s card.

The Intertwined Hearts Die measures 8″ X 3 1/4″ and fits perfectly on a slimline card!  The design features stitched hearts that are intertwined and an outline die of the intertwined hearts shape. This  die can make a fun shaker card or use it with colored or specialty cardstock to highlight the layers!

    Card Details:

    • Created a slimline top-folding card base using heavy white cardstock. The base measured  7″ (scored at 3.5″) x 8.5″.
    • Cut a piece of navy blue cardstock to the same size and “streaked” it with a dark blue ink pad for added texture.
    • Used the Intertwined Hearts Die to die cut both a piece of black cardstock and gold cardstock.

    • Adhered the gold hearts frame to the front of the card and paper pieced in the black hearts.
    • Gold heat embossed the sentiment “You Mean So Much To Me” from the Kat Scrappiness Friendship Greetingsstamp on to a black cardstock strip and then foamed mounted it on a strip of navy cardstock before  adhering it over the heart design.
    • Ran one of the Hearts Of Love Shaker Card Dies through my Big Shot using gold cardstock and adhered some of the smaller heart cutouts for a finishing touch around the card.

    sending love & donuts!

Good Morning! Today I am showing off the new Valentine Release from Kat Scrappiness. It’s a beauty! I have had so much fun making Valentine’s cards so thought let’s make a postcard. The new A2 Postcard Die is perfect for doing so. So, let’s make a card (or postcard)!

    • Start with a piece of red card stock.
    • Die cut your post card using the A2 Postcard Die We are really going to get inky!
    • Ink blend the edges to add some depth. I used similar shades of ink.Next I used a gold water color paint to splatter the heck out of the card. I also splattered some white paint as well.
    • After the panel was completely dry I used the Kat Scrappiness Telescopic Embossing Powder Tool all over the card.
    • Then I used the sentiments from the For the Love of Donuts stamp set. These sentiments are so cute. My husband is a bit tired of me telling him “You drive me GLAZY!”….LOL
    • I stamped the sentiments in white ink and covered them with white embossing powder and used my heat tool.
    • Next, I die cut 3 of the large plain hearts from the Heart Donut Builder dies using Neenah Classic Crest White 110lb card stock. I also cut 2 pieces of white card stock with the frosting die.
    • Then I ink blended one of each with some red shades of Distress Oxides. I just went lightly around the edges of the frosting, then splattered it with gold water color paint. I used a heavier hand on the main heart.
    • Adhere all of the pieces together.
    • There is another frosting die in the Heart Donut Builder set that has small hearts. I took a scrap piece of Memory Box Glitter Paper-Festive Pack, and cut a few hearts for sprinkles. I also cut a few of the tiny hearts from the set in gold glitter paper.
    • I stamped our sweet little Dress Up Quokka stamp on a postage shaped die Ihad in my stash. I inked the edges with black ink and added it to a 1.25 x 1.25″ square to look like a postage stamp.
    • I added sprinkles from the XOXO Sprinkle Mix and the Lots of Smooches Mix.
    • I also cut an A2 panel from black card stock. I adhered the postcard on to this, slightly offset. I think it makes the postcard pop a bit!

That’s it our postcard is complete! What do you think? Let me know in the comments below. Please subscribe to my blog, follow me on Instagram @expressivepaper. You must stop over at the Kat Scrappiness shop and check out these fabulous products.
