    Life Begins After Coffee Card

Hi Everyone, it’s Tina. Today I am sharing a card I made using the new Peacock Backdrop Die along with the Let’s Get Caffeinated Stamp Set. Below you will find the steps to replicate this card.

    Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2).

Step 2 – Trim Brown Cardstock to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, or create your own using Distress Oxide Ink Walnut Stain.

Step 3 – Diecut Peacock Backdrop to Kraft Cardstock. Remove all the small pieces and adhere to Cardstock from Step 2 using Collage Medium. (I use the Darice Fine Tip Applicator on the Collage Medium for easy application).

Step 4 – Trim Stripe Patterned Paper to 1 3/4″ x 4 1/4″. Adhere to card using Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 5 – Stamp Let’s Get Caffeinated on Kraft Cardstock using Versamark. Sprinkle Copper Embossing Powder and heat set it with a heat tool. Diecut Never Ending Circles to the sentiment. Diecut Stitched Scalloped Circles Die using Brown Cardstock, or create your own using Distress Oxide Ink Walnut Stain. Adhere sentiment to the Stitched Scalloped Diecut using Collage Medium. Adhere the whole panel to the card using foam tape.

Step 6 – For added interest adhere hearts or sequins above the sentiment.

This card can be used for any occasion by changing the image, colors and/or sentiment. Below are links to all the products used. To receive 10% off your order use code: TINA10 at checkout. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

    Coffee Card with a Video

Good morning Kat Scrappiness fans!  It’s Lisa here today and I wanted to share a coffee card that I made that has a fun technique to go with it! I used the Fabrika Decoru Enamel Drops to make that cute heart embellishment for the front of the coffee cup.  I have a video for you to watch that shows exactly how I made it.  Some of the artisan coffee shops have the ability to put cool designs into the foam that you see on top of their drinks.  This technique I will show you mimics that look and can be reproduced on your cards!  The Fabrika drops are available in so many colors so the sky is the limit to what you can create!
For my card I used one of the new stamp sets that was just released in the shop called
Let’s Get Caffeinated.  I stamped one of the cute sentiments onto a
Stitched Scalloped Nesting Tag die with some Distress Ink in Ground Espresso.  I tied a twine bow with multiple layers so it would really have some dimension.  I placed the Layered Coffee Cup die with the Fabrika heart embellishment on the front of the card and the sentiment on some foam tape and the card was done.  The background of the card was cut with the largest die from the Stitched Scalloped Rectangles in some pretty polka dot paper.
The assembly of the card was fairly easy so I won’t go into too much detail in this post.  The technique with the Fabrika enamel drops is easier explained in the video.

Have a great day everyone, I already am!

Peacock cover die feature by Jo Herbert

Hi all, Jo here welcome to a cardset creation using the latest Peacock cover die just released this month.  I have done something a little different where I have I used the cover die as a card base front. To achieve this cardbase I played around with my “bigshot sandwich” .

When running through the cutting mat in the big shot make sure you place your cutting mat so it is not covering the whole die. This technique is called “partial die cutting”.  See below the picture where I have shown where I have placed my cutting mat.

I have also heat embossed with WOW! Embossing Powder Bright White Opaque & Metallic Rich Gold embossing powders on the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Scalloped Heart Dies the sentiments.  The stampset I have chosen for this cardset is the Neat & Tangled Love Notes where I have heat embossed with the add-on sentiments as well.

On the hearts I have ink blended with a heavy hand on the outer edge of the hearts working with a lighter hand towards the centre for a more gradient look.

On one of the cards I have heat embossed the outer edges of the scalloped hearts to add a faux layer to the die cut.

To finish the card off I have stuck the heart die cut has been foam mount directly on the card front.

This card set is quick and easy and can be made in bulk.

Hope you enjoyed today’s card set. To see this card made I have created a Youtube of the card making process.

    Sequins Galore with Jess Crafts

Hello crafty friends! I’m so excited to show you one of the Kat Scrappiness die sets from the August release. The Stitched Diagonal Background is so simple but has great details. I’m also using some stamps from the Crafters Gonna Craft stamp set. The design team has already shared a lot of great cards with these stamps and dies so be sure to check them out in the store.

I love to create multiple cards from one diecutting and this die was perfect for that. I was able to cut it once out of pink then purple then blue and rearrange the pieces to make 3 cards. Once I had my panels cut I used from Distress Oxide inks to stamp the sequins from the Crafters Gonna Craft stamp set. The sentiment is from the Sunny Studio Born to Sparkle stamp set. I have a full video tutorial for two of the cards that you can watch below or on YouTube.

    [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNiFQdB4eX8]

Even though there was stamped sequins on the card I knew these cards wouldn’t be finished without some actual sequins. I went through my sequin stash to find some coordinating colors and picked out sequins from Breakfast at Tiffanys, Rock Candy, Boo Who, and Ghostly Greetings. It was a good example of how sequins can be used outside their mixes if needed which really adds value to them.

    Farming Friends Birthday

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a quick birthday card with you!!

I used the amazing Crafter’s Essentials 1 Dies on this card. I can’t begin to tell you how easy this makes putting a card together!! I have been in a funk lately and the mojo has been hiding from me… so when I sat down at my desk today to put a card together, I had the hardest time thinking of what I wanted to make!! Finally I pulled out the Crafter’s Essentials 1 Dies and this card just came together like magic! Minimal brainstorming on my part, which really helped motivate the mojo to come out and play lol! Then I used these two adorable farming friends from the Hay There by Lawn Fawn stamp set and then colored them up with my Copics. I added the flags, also from the Crafter’s Essentials 1 Dies to the top of the card, and then stamped out the “Happy Birthday” sentiment from the Everyday Brush Strokes Stamp Set using a nice red ink pad straight onto the white piece.

Quick and simple and easy, thanks to these dies. Seriously! Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon! Don’t forget to take part in our awesome monthly challenge for your chance to win a $25 Gift Card!!
