You Are EAR-resistable! & Butterfly Beauty with Guest Designer Meghan Kennihan

    Hi Crafty Friends,

I am LOVING being a Guest Designer for  Kat Scrappiness this month. I am once again using the awesome Kat Scrappiness He Has Risen die set that was released in March because the clouds are PERFECT! I also used the NEW April Release Cloud Backdrop die! I added some of the fun stamps from Newton’s Nook that Kat Scrappiness carries too! Easter is next week hoping this card inspires you to make someone HOPPY (see what I did there). My second card in this post is using the amazing Butterfly Panel die! Keep scrolling for more beauty!

    Make Crafty Friends Q & A:

Q: How long did you believe in the Easter Bunny?

A: Me? I’m pretty sure I figured out the Easter Bunny pretty quick…. like preschool, now Santa on the other hand…. I think that took until 1st or 2nd grade.I started the card by die cutting my backdrop clouds. Then I used the grass die from the He Has Risen die set to make the grass at the bottom. I inked the edges to make the individual “blades” stand out a bit. Next I die cut the clouds and inked them with pink!I finished the scene by adding the darling little bunnies, the butterfly and that sweet pun sentiment!

    Patterned Papers

For my second card, I am using the gorgeous Kat Scrappiness Butterfly Backdrop die that was released in March. It is so easy to make fast and elegant cards.

    Make Crafty Friends Q & A:

Q: What is your favorite spring insect?

A: Me? I love lightening bugs! They just make the neighborhood look so pretty and I loved to catch them as a kid!

I started my card by cutting a 4 x 5.25″ white paper for the Butterfly Backdrop die. Then I splattered it with Altenew Watercolor Markers and die cut it.

Next I die cut the butterfly backdrop out of my colored cardstock so I could “fill” in the butterflies in different colors. It’s like a fun, crafty puzzle!

I finished the card by adding The Sparkling Flower Blossom sequins and using the wink of Stella glitter marker to accent the butterflies’ wings!Thank you so much for checking out my blog. Easter Shaker Cards featuring Crafter’s Essentials Easter Edition

Hello crafty friends! I’m excited to share one of the newer products from Kat Scrappiness. The Crafter’s Essentials Easter Edition Die Set has so many great spring images. I decided to show off some of the different shapes by making some simple shaker cards. For more details on how I made these cards check out the video below.

    [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNf7YC6lNI8]

I picked out some pastel papers to tie into the current Kat Scrappiness challenge. Then I cut some of the paper to just under the size of card fronts and the shaker elements with the Kat Scrappiness Wonky Wavy Stitched Circles. I picked out the bunny, the chick, and the butterflies to be the shaker images.

Kat Scrappiness has so many cute new Easter/Spring themed sequin sets. I decided to use the Easter Egg Parade sequins and the Spring Butterflies. For the chick, I took out the eggs from the sequin set, but kept them in for bunny since it was bigger. And for the butterflies I used the Spring Butterflies to make the them more consistent. I used the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Banners and the Lawn Fawn Easter Party stamp set for the sentiment to finish them off.

Do you have a favorite from this simple set of shakers?

Inspiration with the new release of dies!

Hello inky friends, Martha Lucia here with you!

Today I have some inspiration with the new release of Kat Scrappiness. These new dies and stamps are really beautiful and have been created to use them in all occasions. Take a look at my first card using the Friendship Greetings stamp set released today:

Inspiration with the new release of dies!

To create this card I used images included on the new stamp set Friendship Greetings that is available since today! This set includes three different design of flowers that I am sure you will love. I created the card base and second layer using Flirty Flamingo card stock and the Ruffle Embossing Folder to create the texture. I also used whisper white card stock to create the third layer that I cut using one of the zig zag rectangles included on the Zig Zag Rectangles Dies. Over this rectangle I stamped one of the sentiments included on the Friendship Greetings stamp set.

Inspiration with the new release of dies!

In a separate piece of whisper white card stock, I stamped one of the branch of flowers included on the stamp set Friendship Greetings with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with Alcohol Markers Studio 71 and some Copics. I fussy cut the flowers with my scissors and pasted it over the card with double sided foam tape.

My next card is using the Cloud Die released yesterday! It is gorgeous!

Inspiration with the new release of dies!

To make this I used light blue card stock for the base and second layer.  I cut the second layer with the Cloud Die cover plate but to make it a little different, I rounded the corners with the Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper and traced the rainbow with alcohol markers from the center of the layer. Then I pasted the decorated layer over the card base with double sided foam tape.

Inspiration with the new release of dies!

To finalize the card, I stamped one of the sentiments included on the stamp set Friendship Greetings and cut it with the stitched sentiment Strips and paste it directly over the decorated layer. As final touch, I added two clouds that I cut using the He is Raisen Die set and paste some Rainbow Wheels Sprinkles only down of the clouds.

I also used the new Cloud die with a different material. I used the die with Rinea Foiled paper and I love how the stitched clouds turned out. If you want to see  more details about this card you can click HERE and see all the details in my Stampartpapel blog.

Now I want to show some sneak peaks of the die that I will share tomorrow in my blog using a new die that will be released tomorrow as part of April release.

Inspiration with the new release of dies!

Thank you for stopping by and don’t forget that all the products released in April are available in Kat Scrappines Store.

    EGG-stra Awesome Tag

Welcome back to the blog Kat Scrappiness fans!

Today I have a quick and easy tag for you using the adorable

little chick from the Crafter’s Essentials Easter Dies.

To start with I blended 3 different ink colors on to some

card stock and cut out a Stitched Scalloped Nesting Tag Die for the base.

I used a sentiment from the So Egg-citing stamp set from

Your Next Stamp and I stamped it in Lawn Fawn Forget Me Not ink.

After the stamping was done I embossed the tag with a

    polka dot embossing folder.

Next I did some ink blending with Squeezed Lemonade

Distress Ink on white card stock and die cut the chick out of it.

I applied some Spiced Marmalade ink to the beak and feet of the

baby chick. I also cut out the cracked egg from white card stock

and glued the top half over the chick’s head.

I applied foam tape to the chick and adhered it to the bottom of

the tag on top of the bottom of the egg.

Every pretty tag needs some pretty ribbon so I made a bow

out of 3 different color ribbons to match the tag

and finished it off with a big blue button.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed

    my quick and easy tag!
