Happy Saturday! It’s Siqi here today with another shaker card. Yes, I’ve been addicted to shaker cards lately. And I will be using another new product that’s released this month called Owl Envelope Art Stamp Set.
So I had this idea in mind when I saw this stamp set, to white heat-emboss the images against some rainbow color background. But, I totally cheated today. I used one of many pretty designs from the Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow Petite Paper Pack for my front panel. I simply cut it down to 3.75″ by 5″.
I die cut a circle in the pattern paper panel and start stamping the little flowers images around my circle window with embossing ink pad and the white heat-embossed the images. BTW, I kept the circle piece for later.
I then stamp the little owl image on a piece of heat resistant acetate with embossing ink and white heat-embossed it too. I used some strong double sided tape to tape my acetate on the back side of the panel.
I used some foam tape to add dimension and also go around the back of my circle window to start forming the shaker part. I used some clear sparkling sequins in different sizes along with some clear glitter. For the backing of the shaker part, I grab the leftover circle piece I die cut earlier and tape it on another piece of cardstock that’s slightly bigger that the circle, then adhere on the back when lined up.
I adhere the whole panel on an A2 size top-folding notecard. I white heat-embossed the sentiment “Happy Mail !” on a thin strip of black cardstock, cut both ends to a banner shape, then adhere it on the card with some more foam tape.
To finish it off, some more clear sparkling sequins here and there to really accomplish the shaker part.
I hope you like today’s card and look forward to see you again in my next post. Happy Crafting!
