Christmas Stocking Banner Cards

Hello crafty friends! It is a real honor to share with you as Guest Designer during the next two months. I am Martha Lucia Gomez from Stampartpapel blog and today I have two cards that I created using the Christmas Stocking Banner Die, an exclusive product from Kat Scrappiness Store. My first projects are using the Christmas Stocking Banner Die from Kat Scrappiness. I used different material to cut them and I am sure that you are loving this die cut for several reasons. One of them the perfect size because it is a large banner that you can use as is or cut in different pieces, just like I made. For my first card I used Whisper White card stock for the base and for the second layer. Yes, the second layer was originally white but I decided to make it more special and cover the layer with two pieces of wide washi tape in blue and white. I pasted the decorated layer directly over the card base.
Then I cut the Christmas Stocking Banner using two different materials. The first layer is whisper white card stock, the second layer is Silver /Gold Rinea Foiled Paper. I also cut all the special details of this stocking using different colors and textures of Rinea Foilded Paper to make it more colorful. I secured the foiled layer only with the top line of the banner and left the stocking free and easy to open it. In each stocking is a tiny stamped letter.
To finalize the card, I secured the banner to the card with two little blue brads and added a sentiment stamped with VersaFine Clair Blue Belle over a whisper white piece of card stock and blue mat.
My second card was made using decorated papers and with the idea of using it as a gift card holder too. I used balmy blue card stock to create the card base and added one entire layer on top and one folded layer as third to create the pocket.
I decorated the folded piece with a tiny heart button and tied a piece of hemp thread and two individual stockings that I cut from the Christmas Stocking Banner. To finalize the card, I added a stamped sentiment on the lower part of the card using Versafine Clair Blue Belle. I hope these two cards inspire you to use your Christmas Stocking Banner Die in different ways and take advantage of this fabulous product. See you soon!
