    Belated Birthday Card

Hi Everyone, it’s Tina here. Today I have a card to share with you using the new Stewart The Sloth Stamp Set along with some Kat Scrappiness classics. Below are the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ and fold in half for a vertical side fold card.

Step 2 – Diecut Double Stitched Rectangles and Double Stitched Circles using Patterned Paper to create a frame. I used Fawn Lawn Spring Fling. Adhere the frame using foam tape. Diecut Double Stitched Circles using Patterned Paper for the background in the center. Adhere to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 3 – Stamp Stewart the Sloth image using Gina K Amalgam Ink. Color in using alcohol markers. I used Spectrum Noir Colouring System. Adhere to card using foam tape.

Step 4 – Diecut Stitched Fishtail Banner using Patterned Paper (x2). I used Fawn Lawn Spring Fling. Stamp Stewart The Sloth sentiment on top of the diecut using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. Trim off the edges and adhere to 2nd banner using foam tape. Adhere the banner to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 5 – Optional – Adhere Mystical Leaves Sprinkles using collage medium and a Crystal Katana.

This card can be used for many occasions by changing the sentiment and patterned paper. Right now there is a sale going on celebrating 5 years. • “Stewart the Sloth” with Stencil Layering Video

“Stewart the Sloth” with Stencil Layering Video

Hey Crafters! Priscilla here!  Today I’ll be using the new Stewart the Sloth‘” stamp set now available in Kat’s shop to make two C&S (Clean & Simple) cards. And stay tuned for a special bonus video showing how I used a “Two-Layer Stenciling” technique to create the background for both of these cards.

Here’s the new stamp set I used today to create my two C&S cards.

The first one features a yellow and red stenciled background using a Distress Oxide color combination that Kristina Werner showed on her blog a few months ago.

I used  Carta Bella’s “Wander & Find” stencil and combined it with stencil I created using a circle die from my stash.  Note my new stenciling tool, the Wendy Vecchi “MAKE ART Stay-tion All-In-One Magnetic Surface.” I LOVE ? it!

Here’s a short video showing you this “Two-Layer Stenciling” technique.

The second card features a Distress Oxide ink combo of “Squeezed Lemonade,” “Peacock Fathers,” and “Chipped Sapphire” for the stenciled background. Some “Mystical Leaves” sprinkles provide the finishing touch.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out what’s NEW in Kat’s Shop, and follow my blog and Instagram for more “Kat Scrappiness Amazingness”!
