  • Fluttering By Layered Bubbles Mini Slimline

Fluttering By Layered Bubbles Mini Slimline

I have a mini slimline card to share with you today and I’m using several of the new products from the June release.  I just can’t resist this Fluttering By stamp and die set or the new stencils!

I started with creating a background using the new Layered Bubbles stencil set.  I used the Honeysuckle, Aqua and Sprout inks from the Concord & 9th collection.   I trimmed the panel down to fit inside the mini slimline lattice frame die that I die cut in a pretty rose pink cardstock.

I stamped the butterflies from the Fluttering By stamp set in Midnight blue ink and added the second layer in white pigment ink.  I die cut them out and added them to my card with some foam dots.

I used some leftover Stitched Foliage die cut leaves from a previous project and tucked them behind the butterfly to create a frame for my hello die cut.  This word die is from the Reverse Scallop mini slimline frame die set.

My card was finished off with 5 Yellow Jewel gems.

  • Happy Retirement

    Happy Retirement

Happy Saturday, I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.  It’s Caren here on the blog with a retirement card for you today.  After over 20 years, my hair stylist is retiring – not sure what I’m going to do now!  I’ve created her this fun card using several Kat Scrappiness products.

Here is how I created my card:

    • I die using the Mini Slimline Scalloped Edge die from white card stock
    • I used a brick stencil to lightly stencil with gray ink onto part of the panel
    • I die cut from colored card stock the wine bottle and glass from the Wine Not die set and adhered together
    • I stamped Happy from the Happy Day stamp set directly to my panel using versamark ink and gray embossing powder
    • I stamped Retirement from the Happy Day stamp set onto pink cardstock with Versamark ink and gray embossing powder
    • I adhered the wine bottle, wine glass, and retirement sentiment to the panel using dimensional adhesive
    • I added the panel to a gray mini slimline card base
    • I added Pink Lemonade and Gray Opal pearls to finish the card

  • It’s Always Coffee Time Mini Slimline Card and Tutorial!

    Happy Saturday Friends!

Tasha here sharing a coffee-themed mini slimline card tutorial!

The Quokka was stamped with black ink and colored with Copic Markers. I love the Quokka from the Everyday Quokka Stamp Set and thought it would be fun to make a coffee-themed card with the little mug!

The background was created with the cool Mini Slimline Heart Sunburst Die and plaid pattern paper from the Heartfelt Wishes – Slimline Paper Pad. The colors in the plaid paper work perfectly with the coffee theme!

See my full card tutorial on the Kat Scrappiness YouTube Channel!

    [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEHjzUFfnMU]

For the sentiment, I selected a heart from the Stitched Scalloped Heart Die Set and embossed the greeting with white fine embossing powder. The “Let’s Get Caffeinated” Stamp Set has several fun coffee-themed greetings and the designs are fun and modern!

To complete the card I layered a piece of deep orange paper before attaching the card to a white mini slimline card base.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and are inspired to create a coffee-themed mini slimline card!
Also, be sure to check out Kat Scrappiness this weekend and shop the Mother’s Day Sale!

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  • Mini Slimline Quokka Birthday Card

    Mini Slimline Quokka Birthday Card

Sheri here today with a masculine birthday card featuring the adorable Everyday Quokka stamp & die set!

Do you struggle with masculine cards? I know I do at times. I thought that starting with a ink blended background would be fun and this argyle background was perfect for a masculine themed card!

    Steps to Create Card:

    • Create a Mini Slimline card base:  3 1/2″ x 6″ (Cut card stock to 6″ x 7″,  score at 3 1/2″ on the 7″ side).
    • Cut Blue Mat: 2 15/16″ x 5 7/16″.
    • Cut White Panel for stenciled back ground. Start with a piece of card stock measuring 3 1/2″ x 6″.  Using the Newton’s Nook Argyle Stencil and two shades of blue (GKD Blue Denim & GKD In The Navy) to stencil the background. I found using the Mini Detail Blending Brushes helpful for the stitching. You want to pounce up and down to create the clean lines.
    • Trim White/Stenciled Panel down to 2 13/16″ x 5 5/16″.
    • Cut out a white 2 1/2″ circle from the Never Ending Circle die set. Depending on the look you want I trimmed off to match the blue mat once the card was assembled.
    • Stamp and Color the Quokka and present from the Everyday Quokka stamp set. I stamped with alcohol friendly ink and used copic markers. Then I cut out with the coordinating die set. You can also fussy cut the images out.
    • Stamp sentiment from the Everyday Brush Strokes stamp set with Versamark and emboss with white embossing powder. Now trim into a sentiment strip (approx 2 1/4″ x 3/8″).
    • Assemble card. For dimension I added foam tape to pop up the card panel to the card base, the circle element, Quokka and present. This is optional.
    • For embellishment I added a few enamel dots from the America the Great collection.

Here’s a list of the supplies I used from the store.

  • Mini Slimline Clear Thank You Card

Mini Slimline Clear Thank You Card

    Hello crafty friends!

It’s Alicia a.k.a. Crafty Al here to share a look at the clear front mini slimline thank you card that I created using some of the new products from Kat Scrappiness.

For my patterned papers I used 2 sheets from the Ugly Sweater Slimline Paper Pad and the green polka dot frame on the front was die cut using one of the Mini Slimline Reverse Scallop dies. I made the clear front using a piece of ‘clear cardstock’ from the Slimline Acetate Sheet – 25 pack.

To decorate the front I used the Thanks Sentiment w/Shadow die set and some snowflakes from the Christmas Funfetti Sprinkle Mix.

To ‘hide’ the personal message from the front of the card I created a smaller inner card that was covered with the fun penguin / santa / gingerbread pattern. From the front it looks like the frame is on the inner card, but it is actually on the front of the acetate. I just love all of the layers you can get with a clear front, but without a lot of bulk. 🙂

You can check out my video for the full process…

  • “I Miss You” Mini Slimline Card

“I Miss You” Mini Slimline Card

Hey Crafty Peeps! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs.Today I am sharing a card I made using the just released Reversed Scalloped Mini Slimline with Hello die set from Kat Scrappiness.

To make this card, I created a cool ink blend with 3 Distress Oxide inks through a DIY cardstock stencil created using a rainbow slimline die. Sounds confusing? Keep reading to see how I did this.

    Card Details:

    1. Created a white cardstock mini slimline card base (6″ x 7″, scored at 3.5″)and set it aside.
    2. Die cut the top layer using the new Reversed Scalloped Mini Slimline with Hello die set and secured the scalloped frame to the middle portion using tape on the back.
    3. Made a DIY stencil by die cutting a rainbow shape opening in white cardstock using the Slimline Rainbow Die,laid it over my card front, and blended “Black Soot,” “Seedless Preserves,” and “Carved Pumpkin” Distress Oxide inks through it.

    4. Used the same ink blend over the “Hello” die cut and backed it with 2 more die cut layers in black to give it more dimension.
    5. Die cut one of the clouds from the same Slimline Rainbow Die collection, and stamped “I miss you” from the Quokka’n Up stamp set, adding 2 more die cut layers in black.
    6. Adhered both die cut sentiments above and below the ink blended opening and then adhered this finished layer onto the mini slimline card base.

  • Happy Halloween

    Happy Halloween

Happy Monday everyone!  I’ve got a fun and spooky mini slimline Halloween card to start off your week.

I started the card by ink blending the front panel of my slimline card (3.5 x 6 inches) with distress oxide inks – Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, and Black Soot.  I used a spray bottle on the panel to make the panel splotchy.  I then die cut all the pieces (except the pumpkin) from the Crafters Essentials Halloween die set.  I inked up the edges of the tomb stones with Black Soot and did a little ink blending on the moon with Wild Honey.  I adhered the tree, fence, and moon directly to the panel with liquid adhesive.  I added dimensional adhesive to the tombstones and bats.  I stamped my sentiment – Happy Halloween – from the Toil & Trouble Layered stamp set to finish the card.

    Thanks for stopping by!
