    You Are A KOALA-TY Friend

    Happy Monday Friends!

It’s Sheri here today with a FUN Friendship card featuring the adorable KOALA-TY Time stamp set along with the A2 Postcard die. I thought that I would try a little something different and use the A2 Postcard as the backdrop to my card instead of a plain white panel. The card size is a bit larger to allow me to add a mat and card base, the final card size measures 5 7/8″ x 4 5/8″.

    Steps to Create Card:

    • Cut & Create a Kraft Card Base: 5 7/8″ x 9 3/16″, scored at 4 9/16″ on the 9 3/16″ side.
    • Cut Black Mat: 5 5/8″ x 4 3/8″.
    • Cut White A2 Postcard die: 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″.
    • Cut Smallest Postage Stamp from the Stitched Postage Stamp Edge die set: 1 1/2″ x 1 1/8″.
    • Cut a small Red heart from the Heart Donut Builder die set: 9/16″ x 7 /16″.
    • Stamp greenery image around the postcard and then color with your favorite coloring medium. I used copic markers.
    • Lightly ink blend the edges of the post card and the postage stamp with kraft ink.
    • Stamp Koala image, color and fussy cut out.
    • Cut out the word Hello with the Hello Crafty Friend Word die with shadow using black card stock. You will have to snip the bottom where it connects to the word crafty to separate.
    • Stamp and emboss “You Are A KOALA-TY Friend” with white embossing powder onto a piece of black card stock and trim into a strip using the Boxed Sentiment Strip dies.
    • Assemble Card. (I added foam tape to little heart, postage stamp, Koala image and sentiment strip for some added dimension…this is optional)
    • For embellishment I added a few Clear Solid Round Confetti sequins using the Jewel Picker and Bearly Art Glue.

Here’s a list of the supplies I used from the store.

  • Orange Slice Sprinkles

    Orange Slice Sprinkles

Hello Friends, today we are making a cheery hello card good for many occasions. One of the biggest advantages of this type of card is it helps us use up all those bits and pieces we hang onto but never know what to do with them.

First you will need to cut three layers of card stock using white as the base, orange as the thin accent, and an additional white to glue the scraps together to form the stripped section. All three layers are the same length but not the same width. I left 1 inch of white, 1/8 inch of orange and the rest of the space for the stripes.

Now cut orange, green, and yellow  pieces in various widths and shades of colors.

Glue the colored strips onto the small white piece in the order of your choosing. Glue this layer onto the orange layer leaving 1/8 inch showing.

Attach the stripes to the white layer making sure it is right justified. Die cut four hellos, one in each color, using the KS hello brush script word and sentiment die.

Glue the four die cuts together allowing a small amount of each color to show along the right side of the sentiment.

Attach the sentiment onto the stripped area of the card. Glue KS orange slice sprinkles in the white section. Now using black ink splat ink droplets to the card layer. Finally, adhere the layer to a white card base.

    supplies used:

    KS orange slice sprinkles

KS Hello brush script word and sentiment die

  • Hello Spring

    Hello Spring

Did everyone get a chance to check out the new release over the weekend?  If not, there were three fabulous products that were released – Stitched Cloud Backdrop die, Wood Grain Frame die, and Friendship Greetings stamp set.

I’ve used two of the new products in my card today – Wood Grain Frame die and Friendship Greetings stamp set along with some other products from the Kat Scrappiness shop.

I started off thinking that I was going to make a shaker card for this one.  However, once I had the frame and the background together, I decided I liked it better with out the shaker bits.

I cut the wood grain frame die out of purple card stock.  For my background piece, I cut a piece of the blue gingham paper from Lawn Fawn to place my grass and butterflies that are from the Crafter’s Essentials Easter die set.  I then heat embossed the sentiment Hello from the Friendship Greetings stamp set in charcoal embossing powder.

I added a piece of clear acetate and dimensional adhesive to the back of the frame and attached it to my background piece.  I then adhered this to a white card base to finish the card.

  • Just A Little Hello

    Just A Little Hello

Howdy Kat Scrappiness fans!  Maria here on the blog today with a simple card, showcasing the Crafter’s Essentials 1 die set.  If you are waiting for this die-set, you are in luck because they are arriving back in stock next week!  If you haven’t ordered this yet, you can now reserve it so that you don’t have to wait again.

To make things easier for me, I started out by choosing a sketch pattern from the Kat Scrappiness site (you can see this photo on the product sample).  I downloaded this sketch and inserted this piece in the envelope with the dies so I can use them for my future projects.  Sometimes, it is helpful to have it when you’re not feeling crafty!  I am having one of those days since the majority of my supplies are currently loaded in a shipping container, en-route to our home in FL.

I die-cut some A2 size card stock with the rounded-edge rectangle die.  I used the same die to die-cut a patterned paper.

I used the long strip die that is included in the set to die-cut another piece of some white card stock (slightly a different color from my card base).  I also used the stars die to die-cut  one pin pink, blue and yellow.

I stamped my images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored it in with my Copic markers.  I die-cut the image with the coordinating die.  To finish my design, I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink and used my belli-roll pen to add more details to the images.  Here’s my card:

I love the simplicity of this card.  I didn’t do a lot as you can tell, but it turned out really cute!  This sketch is also perfect to create a “Welcome Baby” card.  Here’s another look:

This Crafter’s Essentials 1 die set is definitely a must-have for any paper crafter.  I think the little stitched star die is just the right size to add to your projects.  I love the stitching details to it as well.

I hope you like my card today.  Please don’t forget to use my coupon code “MARIA10” for 10% off your order at the shop.  Don’t forget to check the clearance section too!  I wish you all a wonderful day!  Happy crafting!

  • Hello Bee

    Hello Bee

Good morning everyone this is Mona back with a bun card featuring Bee Girl from Prima.

I started by stamping the girl with my Lawn Fawn Black Jet ink, coloured her using my copics, then went ahead and fussy cut her. I also cut the pair of wings and added clear SN glitter.

For my card base I used a light blue and rage sentiments both come from the bee girl paper collection from Prima. I then adhered everything in place and that finishes up my card for today.

If you have any questions about products used don’t hesitate to leave me a message.

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon here is the link to link to Kat Scrappiness for your browsing convenience.

  • Dropping By To Say Hello

    Dropping By To Say Hello

Hello!  Stephanie here!  For today’s project I wanted to create a non traditional Halloween card – something you could send to a friend any time during October.  I loved the idea of this cute little spider dropping down from its web to say hello.

Below is a video showing the process I used to make this card.  Instructions are also detailed down below, along with links to all of the products I used.

    [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpooP4KDEag]

I started out doing some ink blending on my background using Distress Inks.  I really wanted to use colors that aren’t normally used for Halloween, just to change things up a bit. I also coated my background panel with some Sparkling Sheer Shimmer Spritz for added sparkle. I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies from Kat Scrappiness to create a frame, along with the Double Stitched Circle Dies for the center where my spider web will go.  The stitched details on these dies give the card a nice finished look around the edges.

I absolutely adore this Spider Web Die from Gina Marie Designs.  It’s unique from others I’ve seen because it has the cute stitched detail and it comes with three different spiders. I used some black glitter cardstock to cut my spider and some white cardstock for the web.

I wanted my spider web to be suspended over the circle, so I added a double layer of foam tape behind the smaller rectangle panel and adhered my web over the circular opening.

An easy way to create a custom sentiment for this card was to use the DYMO Label Maker.  I love that you can change up the sentiment by using different stamps that you have in your stash.  For this card I chose to say Hello.

I finished off the card by adding some of the Sparkling Clear Droplets from Kat Scrappiness.  I thought they looked like little dew drops and added a nice finishing touch.  I love the sampler pack that Kat sells because it includes all three sizes.  These droplets are going to be fun to use for upcoming holiday cards as well.
