Lucky Me – Mini Slimline

Happy Friday crafty friends! It’s Caren here today on the blog, and I have a fun mini slimline card for you.

Card Details

Die cut a piece of Starlight Bright slimline paper with the largest mini slimline stitched rope die
Layer onto a white piece of card stock
Die cut a strip of turquoise card stock using the same mini slimline stitched rope die
Stamp and emboss sentiment on turquoise strip
Adhere turquoise panel onto panel
Color critters and add dimensional foam adhesive
Stack and attach critters to panel
Add panel to slimline card base – 3 1/2 x 6

Hi everyone! Did you enjoy the release last weekend at Kat Scrappiness? What was your favorite product in the new release? There were so many great things, but the Summer Quokkas stamp set is my favorite.

How cute is this hula quokka from the set! I began by die cutting the largest die from the Mini Slimline Fancy Scalloped dies from the Starlight Jewels patterned paper. I layered that on a piece of yellow card stock. I also die cut an Embossed Edge Oval die from the same yellow card stock. I adhered all these onto a pink mini slimline card base. The sentiment was heat embossed onto a piece of pink card stock and die cut with the Mini Slimline Fancy Scalloped die. I finished off the card by adding the Ice Ice Baby Enamel dots.

Say Cheese!

Hello crafty friends? Did everyone (who celebrates) have a good Easter?

Today I have a mini slimline shaker card featuring one of the cute Quokkas. If you like the quokkas, stay tuned next week for the new release from Kat Scrappiness!

I used the Mini Slimline Embossed Edge dies to cut out patterned paper from the Cuppa Christmas slimline paper. I then die cut a square from this panel with the Double Stitched Square dies. I attached my cute copic colored Quokka from the Quokka’n Up stamp set to the panel. I then added a piece of acetate to the square opening.

I added foam adhesive to the back of the panel and filled it with the following sprinkles – White, Peach, and Baby Blue solid round sequins, and Mirrored Clear Stars, Clear Solid Hearts, and Clear Starlight sequins. I attached the panel to my read slimline card. For my sentiment, I used another one of the dies from the Mini Slimline Embossed Edge dies and heat embossed my sentiment from the Quokka’n Up stamp set.

Happy Easter

Happy Sunday everyone. It’s Caren here today on the blog with a fun Easter card using the new Easter Border Coverplate die.

I die cut the Easter Border Coverplate die in white card stock and cut it down to about 2 1/2 inches. I then layered it onto a pastel plaid piece of patterned paper that is 4 by 5 1/4. I die cut the Happy Easter words from the Happy Easter w/Shadow die out of white card stock 3 times. I then adhered the 3 layers together and added it onto my plaid panel. I tied a piece of teal and white twine to the bottom of this panel. Finally, I added the panel to a white card base using dimensional adhesive.

Trio of Tulips Cards

Happy Saturday everyone. It’s Caren here today on the blog with a trio of cards using the new Layered Tulip Bouquet die set.

I die cut the tulips from white card stock and used various colors of distress ink to ink blend the tulips. I water colored the backgrounds with coordinating colors and used the Stitched Scalloped Border dies to add some detail to the bottom of each panel. I added dimensional adhesive to the watercolor panels and tulip bouquets and adhered them to my gray card bases. I added simple sentiment strips to finish off the cards.

Happy Mail

Hello everyone!

It’s Donna here and I am sharing two cards with you today. I am using the NEWLY release Rainbow and Clouds Slimline dies. This die is a wonderful addition to all the Slimline products that Kat Scrappiness has to offer. I am also using the newly released Happy Mail (Mailbox) Gift Card Holder Dies. This is a wonderful die, it is very versatile. And lastly, I am using the Kat Scrappiness Everyday Quakkas stamp set. This is a wonderful stamp set that can be using all year long.

Here is my card for your inspiration:

Here is how I created my card:

1. My card base measure 8 1/4 x 3 1/4.

2. I die cut my top layer using the Kat Scrappiness Heartfelt Wishes slimline pattern paper with Kat Scrappiness Embossed Edge Nesting Slimline Dies. I adhered this to the base of my card.

3. I then die cut the rainbow from the Rainbow and Clouds Slimline die. I cut several different papers to create the rainbow. I then cut the clouds from the same slimline die.

4. I then die cut the pieces from the Kat Scrappiness Happy Mail (Mailbox) Gift Card Holder Dies. If you would like to review a video on how to put this together, click here. I assembled everything and added it to the card. I then added the Rainbow to the card, having it coming out of the Mailbox. I then added the clouds. I added the “happy mail” to the top of the card.

5. To finish off my card, I added Kat Scrappiness My Valentine enamel dots.

Here is another view of the card. I think this is my all time favorite card!!!

My second card, I am using the NEWLY released Everyday Quakkas. This is a very versatile stamp set, you can almost use this set all year long.

Here is how I created my card:

1. My card is a mini slimline card measuring 3×6.

2. I die cut the top panel using the Kat Scrappiness mini Slimline Wonky Stitched Dies. Before taking the die off the panel, I used some distress ink to create the background, and then adhered this to the base of the card.

3. I then die cut a snow bank at the bottom using the of the panel and adhered it to the card.

4. I stamped the Quakkas from the Kat Scrappiness Everyday Quakkas and colored it with copics. I then added some foam tape to him and added it to the card.

5. I then die cut the Kat Scrappiness Wonky Stitched Heart die and stamped the sentiment. I added this to my card.

6. To finish off the card, I added some Kat Scrappiness This Kiss Sprinkles to the card.

You’ve Got Mail!

Hello everyone!

I am here with Kat Scrappiness showcasing the adorable Valentine Quokka Stamp set. I am also showcasing one of several mini slimline dies called Distressed Edge Dies, they make the perfect sized card. You can find the full collection here.

My card base measures 3 x 6, I then die cut the mini slimline Distressed Edge dies using the NEWLY released Kat Scrappiness Heartfelt Wishes slimline pattern paper. I then stamped and die cut the Quokkas from the Valentine Quokka stamp set, coloring it with Copics and adhered it onto the Kat Scrappiness Wonky Wavy Heart Stitched die. I finished my card off by adding some Love Hearts sequins.

Two Cards using the Newly Released Heart Die Sets

Hi everyone, it’s Caren here on the blog today. I have two cards to share with you today that use two new dies sets that were released this week – Love in Stitches and Scoop of Love.

My first card is a shaker card that features the Love in Stitches dies.

I used the largest two dies in the Love in Stitches die set to create the two pieces for my shaker card. The back portion of the shaker and the striped paper are from the Heartfelt Wishes slimline patterned paper. I filled the shaker with 3mm heart pink droplets, 50 Shades of Red sequins, and white seed beads from my stash. The love and you sentiments are from the I Love You shadow die set. I die cut the “you” three times from kraft paper to give it a little more dimension. I then added a few hearts from the pink heart droplet sampler to finish the card.

My second card features the Scoop of Love dies.

This die set comes with a stitched heart (which I used) and a solid heart to pair with the drip die. I think the stitched heart I used on my card looks like a chocolate dipped strawberry! I die cut this two twice and added dimensional on the dripping chocolate to give the card some dimension. I heat embossed the sentiment, from the Punny Snacks stamp set, on kraft paper and brown embossing powder. I love how cute this simple card turned out.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Hello everyone!

Today, I am sharing two cards, on both cards I am using the newly released Valentine Quokka stamp set. The first card I am using the newly released mini slimline Diamond Wire & Wood Grain die and my second card I used the newly released mini slimline Scalloped Edge and Embossed Edge dies.

My first card, I created the card base at 3 x 6, I then die cut the slimline Diamond Wire & Wood Grain die. I used some acetate on the back of the diamond slimline and created a shaker card. I added the newly released Love Hearts and Talk About It Sprinkles for the shaker. I then stamped and die cut the Quokkas from the Valentine Quokka stamp set and colored them with copics. For more interest I added the Kat Scrappiness Wonky Wavy Stitched die in the back of the Quokkas. To finish the card off, I heat embossed the sentiment from the Valentine Quokka stamp set with white embossing powder.

My second card, I created a mini slimline card measuring 3 x 6. I die cut the scalloped layer with the Scalloped Edge mini slimline die, the next layer I used some design paper called Be My Valentine by Echo Park and die cut it using the mini slimline Embossed Edge dies. I stamped and colored the Quokka from the Valentine Quokka stamp set. I added the image to my card and stamped the sentiment from the Valentine Quokka stamp set.
