    Rainbow Birthday Card

Hi crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you an easy diy rainbow birthday card featuring the Kat Scrappiness.

Let me tell you, the new collection of sprinkles is really beautiful. I have 24 choices of colors to created my card. However, I decided to make an easy diy rainbow birthday card representing the rainbow colors.  I inked a white layer with two colors of distress ink, I used Salty Ocean on the lower part and Blueprint Sketch for the upper part or the layer. Then, I resized the layer with the large size of the Embossed Edge Rectangle Dies.

Using a set of circle dies, I traced very softy the nested circles over the inked area to use the lines as guide to paste the Confetti Sprinkles. The colors that I used were Red Confetti, Orange Confetti, Lime Green Confetti, Bright Yellow Confetti and Purple Confetti. I pasted all the dots with Dual Tip Glue Pen Adhesive. Additionally, in a separate piece of white card stock, I stamped one of the images included on the Koala-Ty Time set and colored it with Illustrator Markers from Spectrum Noir.

To finalize the easy diy rainbow card, I just stamped a sentiment and pasted over the regular card base.

Thank you for stopping by and let your imagination fly because with these flat confetti’s you can create many shapes!

    Happy Shopping!

    Slimline Card with Best Buds

Hi crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you my Slimline Card using the Best Buds stamp set, both products available at Kat Scrappiness Store.

    Slimline Card with Best Buds

I am fascinated with the size of the slimlines dies. To make this card, I used textured card stock for the card base and the large size of the Stitched Scalloped Nesting Slimline Die with designer paper for the second layer. Then to create the perfect scenery, I used another dies from Kat Scrappines. Let me show them. The green lands are part of the Crafty Essentials Winter. The fence is from the Crafty Essentials Fall Dies.

    Slimline Card with Best Buds

I stamped all the 4 animals images and 1 of the 8 sentiments included on the stamp set Best Buds from Joy Clair Designs and available at Kat Scrappiness Store, onto white card stock using VersaFine Onix Ink. Then I colored the images with Illustrator Markers from Spectrum Noir and fussy cut them with scissors.

    Slimline Card with Best Buds

To finalize the card, I resized the sentiment using one of the embossed edge rectangle dies and pasted all the pieces of the card with crafty foam tape.

Thank you for stopping by and see you soon with more inspiration!

  • Easter’s On It’s Way

    Easter’s On It’s Way

Hippity, hoppity…Easter’s on it’s way!  I’m looking forward to Spring with warm weather, blooming flowers and seeing the bunnies in our yard again!  Until then, I’ll just have to enjoy a little Spring in my craft room 🙂

Kat Scrappiness’ newest release has everything you need to create adorable Easter and Spring projects!

For my card, I layered a light blue cardstock cut with one of the Embossed Edge Rectangle Dies.  Using elements from the Crafter’s Essentials Easter Edition Dies, I cut the grass, basket and egg halves.  I love this set…it has so many wonderful dies to use for many occasions!

And how cute is the new Stitched Easter Bunny Outline Dies?!!  I tucked this little guy into the basket and filled it with paper grass.  After edging the egg halves with a light ink, I added these darling embellishments:  Carrot, Chickadee and Hot Pink Bunny Sprinkles.

To finish, I cut lime green cardstock using the Brush Script Happy Easter Word Dies.

  • Shaker Heart

    Shaker Heart

    Crafty Friends,

Loving all the Valentine cards everyone has been sharing. My contribution today is a Kat Scrappiness Heart Shaker Dimension Set card. These kits are so easy to use to make creative cards.

I always like to start by picking my papers and cutting the paper to size. (Used a die to cut thin frame)

Using the Heart shaker set, I covered the heart with glue and covered it with red glitter.

Assembled the paper layers and attached the dimensional portion of the heart to the card. I filled the heart with Kat Scrappiness sprinkles in several sizes, shapes, and colors. Stamped the sentiment from the Kat Scrappiness “Say it with Hearts” Stamp Set on a banner.

Attached the sentiment over the lower part of the heart shaker. Happy Valentine’s Day to all!

  • Embossed Edge Dies & More by Martha Lucia

Embossed Edge Dies & More by Martha Lucia

Hi there! Martha Lucia here with you. Today I am featuring the fabulous Embossed Edge Die Cuts released at the beginning of this month and more die cuts from Kat Scrappiness.

Embossed Edge Dies & More by Martha Lucia

I used the Embossed Edge Heart set, the Butterfly Backdrop Die and the stamp set Let’s Get Caffeinated. to create my first card. I stamped one of the sentiments included on the Let’s Get Caffeinated stamp set onto whisper white card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and die cut it with one of the middle size hearts included on the Embossed Edge Heart. The photo don’t make justice but the advantage of these die cuts is that you can get the deep on the border and the emboss design at the same time.

Embossed Edge Dies & More by Martha Lucia

To create the background, I used the Butterfly Backdrop Die from Kat Scrappiness. I cut the card base using Mint Macaron and covered it with a second layer of designer paper. then I pasted the Butterfly Backdrop Die over the decorated layer and colored some of the negative parts with markers. I pasted the them with double sided foam tape in the corresponding place. As final touch, I splattered the entire layer with a few drops of Glimmer Mist.

Embossed Edge Dies & More by Martha Lucia

My next card is featuring the Crafters Essentials Fall Dies from Kat Scrappiness and Mystical Leaves Sprinkles.

Embossed Edge Dies & More by Martha Lucia

To make this I used Pool Party card stock for the card base and Crumb Cake card stock for the second layer. I die cut the second layer with the panel layer included on the Crafters Essentials Fall Dies set. I also die cut some leaves in different colors from the same die cut panel.

Embossed Edge Dies & More by Martha Lucia

I inked the panel with different colors of Harmony Water Reactive Dye Ink from Spectrum Noir. I used the next colors of ink: Crushed Velvet, Fuchsia, Honey Pot and Grasshopper. I coordinated the colors of the ink whit the leaves that I die cut. Just to add more interest to the card, I embossed the leaves with a textured embossing folder and tie them with natural hemp tread.  As final touch, to decorate the window, I just paste behind of the panel a small piece of Acetate to create a shaker area and decorate with the Mystical Leaves Sprinkles. The sentiment is an image from a fall set from Hero Arts, stamped with StazOn Pigment Ink Snowflake.

Embossed Edge Dies & More by Martha Lucia

For my next card, I used the Embossed Rectangle Dies and the stamp set Happy Fall Y’all!. I inked a complete layer of whisper white card stock with three different colors of Harmony Inks by Spectrum Noir. It is a water reactive die with brilliant colors that mixed give me colors of the fall. I die cut all the rectangles with over the inked layer and interchange the position at the time of paste it.

Embossed Edge Dies & More by Martha Lucia

I stamped one of the images included on the Happy Fall Y’all onto basic black cardstock with VersaMark and Gold embossing powder. Then I colored some parts of the image with Metallic color pencils from Spectrum Noir.

UPDATE: The embossed Edge Rectangle Dies are now out of stock. First, thank you for your support but If you are interested in know when the die will be available again, just add your email to the notification box at the store and you will be the first to know that they are back!

Give Thanks Dies by Martha Lucia

Hello there, Martha Lucia here with you. Today I am featuring with detail four of the new die cuts released yesterday and today. I am so happy with these designs and I am sure that they fill out our expectations. Let me start with the cards:

Give Thanks Dies by Martha Lucia

The base of my card is Basic Black card stock and the second layer is Very Vanilla. I cut several embossed squares dies of medium size to create the colorful background and I just arranged all the die cut pieces over the second layer. After paste all the embossed squares, I die cut the Gift Thanks shadow word die, using vellum for the mat and Rinea Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper for the letters. I pasted the entire word over the decorated background using double sided foam tape behind of the big letters. As final touch I stamped some leaves from the stamp set Happy Fall Y’all onto whisper white card stock and colored them with Illustrator Markers from Spectrum Noir.

Give Thanks Dies by Martha Lucia

My next card was made using the Give Thanks Wreath released yesterday and the Embossed Edge Rectangle Dies.

Give Thanks Dies by Martha Lucia

I cut a card base using Rich Razzleberry card stock. I dry embossed the second layer with the Leaves Swirl Darice Embossing Folder and pasted it directly over the card base. Then I cut several layers of the Give Thanks Wreath die using Old Olive card stock. I pasted the layers of the Give Thanks Wreath using on point glue. I also cut one Give Thanks Wreath onto Daffodil Delight card stock and with scissors cut the sentiment and pasted it over the top green layer.
