    Happy Easter Slimline Card!

    Good morning Kat Scrappiness Friends!

Tasha here sharing a new Easter-themed slimline card tutorial!

The stamped Easter bunny is from the Build a Bunny 4×6 Stamp Set. This set includes two bunny sizes (I used the larger bunny), several accessories, and different bunny faces. I love the little Easter egg!

For extra detail I used the Stitched Hills Slimline Die for the ground and the stitched clouds from the Slimline Rainbow Die Set. See my full tutorial on the Kat Scrappiness YouTube Channel!

The sentiment “Happy Easter” was created with the Happy Easter w/Shadow Die Set. I used a pretty purple glitter paper for the shadow layer and lime green for the words; the green color really pops!

Lastly, I attached an Easter egg pattern paper from the Easter on Parade Paper Pad. I also added layers of pink and green card stock before adhering the card to a white slimline card base.

Thank you for checking out today’s project and I hope you are inspired to create a slimline Easter card!

    Happy Easter

Hello! It is Hannah, again! Yes, I did just share yesterday, but I’m catching up from being sick the past week and my wonderful fellow Design Team members picked up my slack. Now it is time for me to start pulling my fair share of the work and that means that YOU get to hear from me two days in a row! Lucky you!

Yesterday I showed you how to make a fun bunny spinner card, and today we’re still working with the same bunny dies! I’m making these adorable dies work for you, you’re going to get your money’s worth out of them before I’m done!

To start, though, I took the Cross Stitch Rectangle Dies and cut a panel of cardstock using the largest die. Then I centered the Brush Script Happy Easter Word Die in that panel and cut it out. While I’m talking about that die, have you checked it out in the Kat Scrappiness shop? Many of her sentiment word dies are really inexpensive! For $4.99 you really can’t beat the price! FABULOUS deal!!

I was really careful removing the word die from my cardstock, I was able to keep most of the paper bits in place and ran some Glad Press and Seal over the entire thing to keep all of them exactly where I wanted. I was able to move the sentiment and toss it, I wanted the negative pieces.

The Glad Press and Seal holds REALLY well. I was able to run my tape runner over all the intricate tiny pieces and edges so that I could adhere this panel, negative pieces from the letters and all, directly onto another piece of cardstock with little fuss.

Look how perfect that looks! Next, I die cut two bunnies using the largest of the Stitched Easter Bunny Outline Die. I lined them up where I wanted them to go on my card panel, and then taped the largest Cross Stitch Rectangle Die so that the cross stitch edge would provide a finished look where I wanted them to be cut off.

Carefully, I curved the bunnies so that they didn’t lie flat on the card panel. I only adhered them along the cross stitch edge, I wanted them to look like they were popping off of the card front. Scor-Tape was my adhesive of choice on this because it was strong and didn’t have a drying time. I used some Ranger Multi Medium Matte and my Crystal Katana (video coming soon on this awesome tool) to adhere some sequins that I used for eyes! How cute does that look? The mix from the Pastel Pop Sequin Mix fits this Easter theme perfectly!

It is a really quick and easy card, some die cutting and no stamping, that is super sweet and just a lot of fun! I just love the unexpected use of sequins.

    Easter Egg Hunt Scrapbook Layout

Hello friends! Katty here, sharing another 12×12 Scrapbook Layout. I began with two photos of my boys. These photos were taken on Easter a few years ago. I hid Easter Eggs for them in our yard and they had a lot of fun looking for them.

I began by choosing three patterned papers that I wanted to layer together from the Celebrate Easter 6×6 Paper Pad by Echo Park. I used the Stitched Square Kat Scrappiness Dies and cut out three of the squares, each smaller than the last. I layered all three behind my photos. I also cut out two open squares in one of the patterned papers. I cut those open squares in half and layered them on each side of my photos. I added acetate to the open squares and added some sequins from the Easter Egg Hunt Sequin Mix .

I decided to create my own embellishments. I used the Happy Hoppy Bunny Stamp Set and stamped the three bunnies from the set onto patterned papers from the same paper pad.  I fussy cut the images and layered them with some fun Easter Eggs that I also fussy cut from one of the patterned papers. I added some tangled thread behind the bunnies as well.

I used white cardstock as my base but decided to bring in a teal polka dot patterned paper from my stash and cut it down to about 11×11. I layered that over the white cardstock and then my photos and embellishments over the polka dot paper. I also added some zig zag stitching with orange thread where the two background papers met to bring in some more color.

I used orange thickers from my stash to add my tittle and added some of the adorable Eggs from the Easter Egg Hunt Sequin Mix underneath the tittle. I used glossy accents to adhere the sequins down.

I love how it turned out. Thanks so much for stopping by today! XOXO -Katty
