Dress Up Quokka Happy Halloween Card!

    Hi everyone!
Tasha here sharing a Happy Halloween card featuring the Dress Up Quokka Stamp Set and Quokka Halloween Costume Add On Stamp Set!

I love Halloween and nothing is cuter than a quokka dressed up in a little costume! I stamped the quokka, his vampire outfit, and the super adorable bat with black ink and used the coordinating die sets to cut all the images out. This bat looks so happy!

For the moon, I used a die from the Crafters Essentials FALL Die Set and Post It paper to create a mask.I went over the moon and background with purple Distress Oxide Ink, blending from the edge toward the center to create a glowing look.

The “Happy Halloween” greeting is from the Toil & Trouble Layered Stamp Set. This simple sentiment fit perfectly on this card and looks great with the orange paper!

Check out my full tutorial video on the Kat Scrappiness YouTube Channel!

Lastly, I added spiderweb pattern paper from the new Creepy & Kooky Paper Pad, orange paper, and bright lime green paper before attaching the card to a white card Base.

Thank you for checking out today’s card and I hope you are inspired to create a Halloween Quokka Card!

  • Happy Holidays Mini Slimline Flat Shaker card

Happy Holidays Mini Slimline Flat Shaker card

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. I have a super fun and easy Mini Slimline Flat Shaker card to share with you using the Dress Up Quokka Stamp/Dies, Christmas Costume Add-On Stamp/Dies, Happy Holidays W/Shadow die, Elegant Borders die, and the Holiday Bliss Sequin Mix from Kat Scrappiness. Below you will find the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 7″ x 6″, score at 3 1/2″ and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (Mini Slimline)

Step 2 – Trim White Cardstock to 3 1/2″ x 6″. Apply any ink of your preference using a Blender Brush. I used 3 shades of Teal Blue starting with the lightest in the center and working out towards to edges with the darkest. Let dry.

Step 3 – Place on top of the inked panel created in step 2 a trimmed cellophane measuring 4 1/2″ x 7″. Turn over the panel and cellophane and adhere Double Sided Adhesive Tape to the backside edges.  Remove the release sheet from 3 sides and secure the cellophane. Add Holiday Bliss Sequin Mix to the front. Remove the last piece of the tape and secure. Be sure to remove the excess cellophane at each corner. Adhere the entire shaker to the card front using Bearly Art Precision Glue. A tip: Make sure not to adhere the cellophane too tightly otherwise your sequins won’t move.

Step 4 – Stamp Dress Up Quokka and Christmas Costume Add-On using Gina K Amalgam Ink on White Cardstock. Color in using Alcohol Markers of your choice. I used TriBlends from Spectrum Noir. Diecut the images with matching dies and adhere to card front using Bearly Art Precision Glue.

Step 5 – Diecut Happy Holidays W/Shadow (words only) using White Cardstock. Adhere to card using Bearly Art Precision Glue.

Step 6 – To ground the images Diecut Elegant Borders using Red Cardstock. Adhere to card using Bearly Art Precision Glue.

Flat shaker cards have become my new love and they are easier to mail since they are bulky like the traditional shaker cards. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

    October Card Challenge Inspiration

Hello there everyone!  It’s Sheri Gilson here and I am the host for the October Challenge.  I hope you will join in on the fun!  The challenge is to create a Halloween or Thanksgiving themed card.  All you need to do to WIN $20 is create a project with at least 2 Kat Scrappiness Products! Head to the store HERE and grab some goodies and play.  Here is my card for your inspiration

To make my card I used the Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline Never Ending Dies to cut out my background panel, I then ink blended a combination of Distress Oxide Fossilized Amber, Wild Honey and a touch of Ground Espresso. I then attached it to a brown mat. Next I stamped a few images from the Kat Scrappiness Dress Up Quokkas, Thanksgiving Costume Add-On and Thanksgiving Gnomes stamp sets with Amalgam Obsidian ink and used copic markers to color. Then I cut the images out with the coordinating dies and a few were fussy cut. You will also need to die cut a few trees from Crafter’s Essential Halloween die set.

To finish off my card, I assemble my little scene. Some of the images are popped up with foam tape for dimension. I picked one of the sentiments from the Thanksgiving Gnomes stamp set and embossed it in white on a piece of brown card stock. For embellishment I added a few Clear and Solid Round Confetti. I then popped up the stamped panel onto a kraft card base measuring 6″ x 3 1/2″ (6″ x 7″, scored at 3 1/2″).

I don’t know about you but I love creating Halloween Cards!

Think I will tuck a little money in this one for my son (he’s 22) and he can treat himself to a little something!

    Steps to Create Card:

        • Cut Black Mini Slimline Card Base: 6″ x 3 1/2″ (6″ x 7″, scored at 3 1/2″ on 7″ side).
        • Cut a piece of Pattern Paper from the Boo To You paper pack: 6″ x 3 1/2″.
        • Die Cut Web and Small Spider in black card stock from the Creepy Crawly die set.
        • Die Cut Gray card stock Bat from the Crafter’s Essentials Halloween die set.
        • Die Cut House in black card stock from the Home Sweet Home die set. Cute the Roof Line, Windows & Door in Black card stock and the Spooky Fence in Gray card stock from the Haunted House Add-On die set. You will also need to cut orange card stock to insert behind the windows and door.
        • Cute two White Ghosts with the Boo-gy Ghosts die set.
        • Stamp a Dress Up Quokka and pick a costume from the Halloween Costume Add-On stamp set. Color with your favorite medium and assemble.
        • Stamp and emboss sentiment from the Toil & Trouble Layered stamp set in white on black card stock. Trim to a sentiment strip.
        • Assemble card. ( I first trimmed the house down to 3 1/2″ wide to fit the front of my card and then assembled the rest of the pieces to create my house and scene)
