    Use Your Words

You don’t always need to say a lot to get your point across.  Sometimes little words said with love and sincerity can mean so much!  Today I’m sharing a few cards featuring three new Kat Scrappiness word dies that are simple, but say so much!

My first card features the Thank You with Shadow Die.  I first layered kraft cardstock to the base.  I adhered two pieces of pattern paper together and using the shadow die, cut an opening in the center.  I adhered a piece of acetate on the back over the opening, then used  Scrapbook Adhesive Foam Strips to outline the shape of the shadow die.  Kat Scrappiness has SO many fun sprinkles and I selected Rainbow Bright, Yellow Candy, Orange Confetti and Dark Brown Teddy Bear Sprinkles for my shaker elements.  After removing the tape from the foam adhesive strips, I then adhered another piece of kraft cardstock to encase the sprinkles. I used Scrapbook Adhesive Crafty Foam to pop up the entire card front layer before adhering it to the card base.

I then cut orange cardstock with the Thank You word dies and adhered to the acetate.  To finish, I added this sweet image from the Koala-ty Time stamp set.

This birthday card was super easy to put together!  After layering cardstock and pattern paper to the card base for the background, I used the Hooray with Shadow Die to cut green and pink cardstock.  The shaker star was created using one of the shapes in the Splat Star Shaker kit which I first colored with alcohol ink before putting the kit together.  How perfect are these Candy Explosion Sprinkles for the shaker elements?!  The card is a party all on it’s own 🙂

And last, but certainly not least….

My last card features…can you guess?…yep, it’s the new You Rock with Shadow die!  I love these Star Bright Sprinkles which gave my card just the right star-studded touch.  This word die is perfect to for creating cards that encourage, congratulate or thank someone!

Hooray! | Life is Better with Sprinkles!

Hi Everyone, it’s Priscilla here. Today I want to share the card I made for the Kat Scrappiness Blog  featuring the newly released “Hooray with Shadow Die” and lots of rainbow colors.

This die sentiment/shadow is so versatile and can be used for any celebratory occasion. I die cut the sentiment from purple card stock and the shadow from vellum.

I created this fun background on an A2 card base using a fireworks stencil and ink blending with several rainbows colors.

The focal point of the card is “Winston” from the Newton’s Nook stamp set “Newton’s Donut,” who swings through the air on his favorite sprinkle-laden donut.

The sprinkles are from the Kat Scrappiness “Candy Explosion Sprinkles” collection. Three “Star Bright Sprinkles” surround the “Life is Better with Sprinkles!” sentiment, also from the Newton’s Nook “Newton’s Donut” stamp set.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out what’s NEW in Kat’s Shop, and follow my blog and Instagram for more “Kat Scrappiness Amazingness”!

    Stay Safe . . .

    Hello fellow crafters,

I wanted to share this shaker card I made, I tried something new for me. I am using Kat Scrappiness sprinkles that I find so colorful that I wanted to ensure they were showcased in the best way. I decided to make a see through card so the fill was visible from the front and the back.

I started by making my layered frame. This frame had to be made twice so it looked great from the back also.

I determined the size of the frame based on a standard 5×7 card. I used acetate behind each frame to form the “bread” part of this shaker sandwich I was creating. Next I cut fun foam to fit between the frames to form the shaker space. I used two layers of the foam to give the sprinkles enough room to move.

Using glue I assembled the layers. I filled the inside with many different colors of candy sprinkles then glued the top on.

Next I die cut the sentiment using the Kat Scrappiness Hooray die and Shadow. Before attaching this sentiment to the front window I wrote a message to the recipient on the back of it so it could be read through the back. I embossed a sub sentiment on black and attached under the die cut.

I think this made a fun card.  I hope you try making one too. The sentiment dies from Kat Scrappiness all work well with this type card so give it a go.
