    Congrats Grad Mini Slimline Card

    Happy Monday!!

It’s Sheri here today with a Congrats GRAD card using featuring the Falling Stars Stencil, a couple dies and some gold foil!

Super easy to make and love the elegant design! The hardest part is waiting for the Deco Foil Trasfer Gel Duo to dry but I just worked on cutting all the layers and elements that were needed to assemble the card.

    Steps to Create Card:

    • Take a 6″ x 4″ black piece of card stock (start larger that your final panel size to allow you to pick the best area to cut out with your die), Falling Star Stencil, pallet knife, and Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo and apply a light coat. Clean stencil and set panel aside to dry. To be safe I let it dry for approximately 1 hour.
    • Cut and Score black Mini Slimline card base: 6″ x 3 1/2″ (6″ x 7″, scored at 3 1/2″ on 7″ side).
    • Cut Gold Mat: 5 5/8″ x 3 1/8″ using the Mini Slimline Never Ending die set.
    • Cut Black Stitched Mat: 5 1/2″ x 3″ using Mini Slimline Double Stitched die set.
    • Cut the letters “G“, “R“, “A“, and “D” out a total of three times to stack for dimension. You will need 2 in black and 1 in gold glitter card stock from the Condensed Uppercase Alphabet die set. Stack and glue the gold glitter letter on top of each stack. This adds dimension without the need to add foam tape.
    • Cut out the “Congrats” a total of three times in black card stock using the Congrats w/Shadow die. Stack and glue the three together.
    • Once your panel has dried, it’s time to add Gold Foil. By using the Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo you can apply the foil with or without a laminator. I used my Mini Minc to apply the foil. If you would like try without heat, here’s a great tutorial by ThermOWeb.
    • After I foiled the panel I used cut it down to 5 3/8″ x 2 3/4″ using the Mini Slimline Never Ending die set.
    • Assemble the card.
    • To finish off the inside of the card I lined the inside: Gold Glitter Mat: 5 1/2″ x 3″ using Mini Slimline Double Stitched die set, Black card stock Mat: 5 5/16″ x 2 13/16″ & White Panel: 5″ x 2 1/2″ using the Mini Slimline Never Ending die set.

    Card Measurements:

    • Black Mini Slimline Card Base: 6″ x 3 1/2″ (6″ x 7″, scored at 3 1/2″ on the 7″ side)
    • Gold Mat: 5 5/8″ x 3 1/8″
    • Black Stitched Mat: 5 1/2″ x 3″
    • Black Panel: 5 3/8″ x 2 3/4″

    Inside of Card:

    • Gold Mat:5 1/2″ x 3″
    • Black Mat: 5 5/16″ x 2 15/16″
    • White Panel: 5″ x 2 1/2″

    Starry Night Window Shaker Card

Happy Mother’s Day everyone! I want to wish every momma out there a great day filled with happiness and family today and I hope that you are spoiled today!

Sammi here to show you a great shaker card using the Oval Window Shaker Card kit from Kat Scrappiness paired up with the new Falling Stars Stencil that was newly released. I envisioned looking out at a starry night from the window when I put this card together, and I am quite happy with the results. Here is how I made the card:

    1. Using Oxide inks, I ink blended a piece of cardstock I cut using the 5×7 Stitched Rectangle die. I needed to make a 5×7 card with the size of the shaker kit. I used colors that would make a night sky. Then, using the Falling Stars stencil, I created a starry night with some gold Nuvo Mousse.
    2. Putting the starry night aside to dry, I then painted the window with some chalk paint. I had white chalk paint, so I painted it white first, then I added some black distress ink to the paint to make a gray colored paint and added some distressed paint strokes on the shutter to make it look like distressed wood. I then added some blue sparkle paint to the window sill and put the window aside so the paint could dry.
    3. Using the Missing You w/ Shadow die, I cut out three Missing’s put and glued them together using Bearly Art Glue. I then heat embossed the Missing work with gold embossing powder. I then stamped the “you” from the Quokka’n Up stamp set sentiment.
    4. After everything was dry, I then glued the acetate and foam piece to the window shaker piece. I then added some Light Up The Night Sprinkles onto the starry card piece and then glued the window shaker piece on top to keep the sprinkles in the window shaker.
    5. I then glued the Missing sentiment under the window and then added the “you” with some foam tape.
    6. I decided I wanted some bling around the sentiment, so I added some Midnight Fandango Pearl Mix to complete the look.
    7. I then glued the card panel onto a 5×7 card base.

I am really please with the way this card turned out. It really does look like a starry night and the Light Up The Night Sprinkles were perfect for this card! Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

It’s Always Coffee Time Mini Slimline Card and Tutorial!

    Happy Saturday Friends!

Tasha here sharing a coffee-themed mini slimline card tutorial!

The Quokka was stamped with black ink and colored with Copic Markers. I love the Quokka from the Everyday Quokka Stamp Set and thought it would be fun to make a coffee-themed card with the little mug!

The background was created with the cool Mini Slimline Heart Sunburst Die and plaid pattern paper from the Heartfelt Wishes – Slimline Paper Pad. The colors in the plaid paper work perfectly with the coffee theme!

See my full card tutorial on the Kat Scrappiness YouTube Channel!

    [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEHjzUFfnMU]

For the sentiment, I selected a heart from the Stitched Scalloped Heart Die Set and embossed the greeting with white fine embossing powder. The “Let’s Get Caffeinated” Stamp Set has several fun coffee-themed greetings and the designs are fun and modern!

To complete the card I layered a piece of deep orange paper before attaching the card to a white mini slimline card base.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and are inspired to create a coffee-themed mini slimline card!
Also, be sure to check out Kat Scrappiness this weekend and shop the Mother’s Day Sale!

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    Happy Anniversary Card

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. Today I have an Anniversary Card to share using the Floating Dots 6×6 Stencil with the Wine Not Dies. Below you will find the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 4 1/4’ x 11”, score at 5 1/2” and fold in half for a horizontal top fold card. (A2)

Step 2 – Trim White Cardstock to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”. Place the Floating Dots Stencil and apply Ink in color of your choice. Once completely covered move the stencil and apply another color. Do it one more time in another color. I used a Light Pink, Dark Pink and Mid Yellow.

Step 3 – Diecut Double Stitched Rectangles using the panel created from Step 2.

Step 4 – Stamp Happy Days sentiment using Versamark to the panel created in Step 2. Sprinkle Gold Embossing Powder, remove the excess. Heat set it with a Heat Tool. Adhere to card front using Foam Tape.

Step 5 – Diecut Wine Not using various colors of Cardstock. I used a Light and Dark Pink Cardstock. Optional add some ink to the edges of the Light Pink diecuts for added dimension. Assemble using Bearly Art Precision Glue. For added interest Stamp Swatches (Heart Solid) onto the Wine Bottle using Versamark. Sprinkle Gold Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a Heat Tool. For added shine I diecut the tip of the wine bottle using Mirror Cardstock. Adhere the wine glasses and wine bottle to the card front using Bearly Art Precision Glue and tilt the second wine glass.

This card can be used for many occasions by changing the colors and/or sentiment. This card design is very versatile. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting.

    You Are Beautiful

Hello Crafty Friends!  Donna W. here with a card featuring the new Kat Scrappiness Floating Dots Stencil along with a sentiment from the Friendship Greetings Stamp Set.  Before we get to my card, I would like to remind everyone of the 50% Sale on all Clearance Items at the Kat Scrappiness Shop.  You’ll want to check out this sale and get it before it’s gone!

Now, for my card.  To start, I’ve watercolored a background and once dry, I’ve stenciled white pigment ink using the new Floating Dots Stencil.  I’ve placed the stencil down in a couple of different orientations while blending to get the Bokeh Effect.  Tip:  Blending small areas are a breeze using the new blending brushes (pictured) and to acheive the Bokeh, vary your blending pressure.

The panel was trimmed in a geometric shape and adhered flat to the card base.  Using the Friendship Greetings Stamp Set, the floral image and sentiment were heat embossed on a piece of extra blended card and popped on craft foam for dimension.

Lastly, a bit of gold thread was nested behind the sentiment strip and Kat Scrappiness Jasper Stone Pearls were added for extra interest and shine.  Please visit the shop and pick up the newest stencils, blending brushes and dimensional shaker kits.  And don’t forget to check out that Clearance Sale!

Until next time, Get inspired and Stay Crafty!

    Donna W.
