    Say It With Hearts Valentine Card

    Good morning, crafters!  Design Team Member Cynthia here with you for a super-sweet Valentine’s Day card featuring the brand new KS Say It With Hearts stamp set.  This stamp set is just the cutest thing ever, and with so many different sentiments to choose from, you can send any message you like!  Let’s go ahead and start going through the steps you’ll need to follow to recreate this card for yourself.

     

    My first step was to go ahead and cut the paper layers for my card.  I used my favorite KS Stitched Scalloped Rectangle dies for the perfect touch.  The pink-on-pink hearts patterned paper was cut using the largest rectangle die, which is just a tiny bit smaller than my A2 size card base.  I added a diagonal black & white stripe paper next, trimmed to fit within the layers neatly.  Then I used the next largest rectangle die to cut my white card stock piece, where I’ll be adding the stamping.

     

    I selected four fun colors of ink from my ink pad stash, using dye inks so that they would dry immediately.  Remember, when using pigment inks, you’ll have to allow time for them to dry completely.  Using the solid heart stamp from the KS Say It With Hearts stamp set, I stamped a random pattern of hearts across my white rectangle (I used some washi tape strips to mask the scalloped edges.)  I then stamped the heart outline stamp over the colored ones using some Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I was happily surprised at how easy it was to layer my hearts with these stamps!  The final touch was to stamp my sentiments inside the hearts. There are so many to choose from that I was able to use a different one for each of my hearts with no repeats.

     

    For my last step I decided to wrap some black & white baker’s twine around the center of my card and tie a little bow.  I absolutely LOVE this twine, and it worked perfectly with my colors and design.  This card turned out to be one of my favorites, and if you would like to recreate this for yourself, you can follow the links above and below to start shopping.  Please remember to use my coupon code “CYNTHIA10” to save 10% off your entire purchase.  Thank you so much for joining me today, and I will see you all again soon for more crafty goodness 🙂

    Lacy Layered Heart As A Stencil

    Hi Everyone, it’s Tina here. I love when a die can be used in more ways than just a diecut. The Lacy Layered Heart die is a perfect example. You can diecut and use as is, emboss it or diecut and use it as a stencil. Below I have a Process YouTube Video that will show you a fun way to use it as a stencil to add DecoFoil Transfer Gel to create a gorgeous sparkling pattern. I am also using some older product to complete this Valentine Card.

    Lacy Layered Heart die with glitter

    Hi everyone!  I’m still enjoying making cards with the goodies from the new release.  Today I have two cards that use the Lacy Layered Heart Dies by Kat Scrappiness and glitter paper.

     

    For my first card, I cut strips measuring 1/4 inch of red, pink, and silver glitter card stock from my stash.  I adhered them to a piece of white card stock that was a little larger than the die.  I then used the outline heart die to cut out the glittered heart.  I adhered the heart to my card base with foam tape.  I added a strip of the red glittered paper to the left side of the card and heat embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder.

    My second card uses the fancy layered die from the Lacy Layered Heart Dies.  I die cut it out of blue and purple glitter paper.  On my card base, I heat embossed some random hearts using clear embossing powder.  I die cut one of the Stitched Sentiment Strip dies from Kat Scrappiness and heat embossed the sentiment from Love Letters stamp set by Lawn Fawn.  I adhered the sentiment strip to the card using foam adhesive.

    I love You Shadow Dies & Lacy Layered Heart

    Hello crafty friends! Martha Lucia here with you.

    Today I am featuring a combination of two different products form Kat Scrappiness, that work perfectly with my new year resolutions and San Valentine season! I love You Shadow Die and the Lacy Layered Heart in a different way!

    I Love You Card

    I created a card base whisper white and then I cut the Lacy Layered Heart from basic black card stock and using the paper cutter I cut the heart in a half to use it separate around the card. Then I cut a second layer of card stock using the color real red and cut the heart again using only half part of the die cut.

    I Love You Card

    I pasted the real red layer over the card base using a lot of double sided foam tape. Also paste in the same place the half of black Lacy Layered Hearts with On Point Glue to give different levels to this layer.

    To complete the card, I cut the mat of the I love You Shadow Dies using Whisper White card stock and Basic Black card stock. My idea was give a little shadow to the entire words. To cut the letters I used Basic Gray card stock.

    I Love You Card

    To finalize the card, I positioned the words on the middle of the space between the hearts and sprayed the entire card with Shimmer Sheer.

    ?Love Is In The Air?

    Happy New Year Kat Scrappiness Fans!

    I want to wish you all a happy early Valentine’s Day as well

    since this post will be centered around our new

    “Love” themed products!

    There was recently 4 new products released in the shop and if you

    haven’t seen them yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

    Kat Scrappiness just released 3 new dies and 1 new stamp set to help

    get you in the Valentines mood!

    Valentine’s Day has always been one of my favorite holidays

    mostly because of the color scheme and pretty hearts.

    I’ve always loved the decorations and the way the stores look

    at this time of year.  It’s a wonderful sea of pink and hearts!

    I created 3 cards with the new products that I’ll share today and I have

    some process pictures to share with you for one of them.

    Here is the first card I made using the I LoveYou Shadow Dies

    and I’ll share the process with you.

    For this card I made my own background by ink blending

    3 different distress inks in the following colors:

    Broken China

    Picked Raspberry

    and

    Twisted Citron

    Even though I only used 3 colors it looks like so much more

    because of the blending properties of the distress inks!

    This is my favorite color combo right now and I

    am reaching for them a lot!

    Once I got the background blended just the way I wanted it

    I pulled out a heart stencil from my stash and used it to

    cover the background in soft white hearts.

    I had an old makeup brush on hand that worked perfectly

    to apply the white ink.

    After the hearts were stenciled in I hit the panel with my heat gun

    so it wouldn’t smear in my Vagabond.

    I used the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Dies to cut

    out the panel for the front of my card.

    The next step was to pick out colors that I wanted to die cut

    the I Love You Shadow Dies out of.

    I knew I wanted the shadow pieces to be black since

    it makes the rainbow colors pop.

    I decided on some sparkly pink paper for the actual words.

    Once I adhered the words to their black shadows I popped them

    all up on foam tape so they would really stand out on the card.

    And of course I needed to add some Sparkling Clear Jewels to the card

    for some extra BLING!

    I really love how this card turned out and I am planning on making a lot

    more ink blended cards in the near future.

    Here are all 3 cards that I made for the new release and I can tell there

    will be a lot more LOVELY HEART cards very very soon!

    As you can also see I used the ink blending technique on all 3 of

    these cards in different ways.
