Hello Crafty Friends! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs. Today I am sharing a Halloween card . . . “Mummy-style”! I mimicked this adorable mummy quokka by creating a backdrop using the new Kat Scrappiness‘s “Mummy Wrappings Backdrop Die” and LOTS of tape! Kat‘s new Halloween sentiment, “I’m Dying to See You,” is the perfect finishing touch!

Along with the Kat Scrappiness new Mummy Wrappings Backdrop Die and the Simple Sentiments Halloween Stamps/Die, I also used Kat‘s Dress up Quokka Stamps/Dies, Quokka Costume Halloween Add-onStamps/Dies, and her Hocus Pocus Sprinkle Mix.

Card Details:

• Created an A2 top-folding white card base.
• Wrapped first aid tape around an entire piece of 4.25″ x 5.5″ black cardstock to create a “mummy” look.

• Die cut black cardstock using the Mummy Wrappings Backdrop Die and adhered over the taped cardstock layer.

• Stamped and die cut the quokka and his mummy costume and then colored the quokka’s face with Copic markers.

• Adhered the finished mummy to a circle of purple cardstock that I had run through with a striped diagonal embossing folder for added “mummy” texture.

• Adhered the Mummy to the front of the card.
• Stamped and die cut the sentiment “I’m Dying TO See You” using the new Simple Sentiments Halloween Stamps/Die and adhered on the front of the card.
• Die cut eyes  that were included with the Mummy Wrappings Backdrop Die using purple cardstock, adding green pupils over them before adhering to the front of the card.
• Added 3 green embellishments from the new Hocus Pocus Sprinkle Mix for the finishing touch!
