Hello Crafty Friends! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs. Today I am sharing my first spring card of the season using the new Kat Scrappiness “Wavy Ferns” stencil and “Forest Green Glitter Mousse” for my card background. This beautiful backdrop allows the butterfly from Kat’s “Fluttering By” stamp set/dies to take center stage.
Along with Kat Scrappiness Wavy Ferns stencil and Forest Green Glitter Mousse, I used Kat‘s Fluttering By stamp set/dies, Stitched Foliage Craft Dies, Hippity Hoppity Sentiment Stamps, Stitched Fishtail Banner Craft Dies, Brown Diamond Rhinestone Mix, and Jasper Stone Pearl Mix to make today’s card.
Card Details:
- Created an A2 top-folding white card base.
- Overlaid it with the Wavy Ferns stencil.
- Applied the Forest Green Glitter Mousse with a spatula over the entire stencil, removed the stencil immediately, and allowed the stenciled cardstock to dry before sizing it slightly smaller than the card base.
- Adhered the stenciled cardstock to the card base.
- Stamped and die cut the largest butterfly from the Fluttering By stamp set/dies.
- Die cut green ferns using the Stitched Foliage Craft Dies.
- Created a bouquet of ferns and dried flowers, tied it with string, and adhered it to the front of the card.
- Foam mounted the butterfly to the right of the bouquet and added several Brown Diamond Rhinestones to the body of the butterfly.
- White heat embossed the sentiment “Happy Spring” from the Hippity Hoppity Sentiment stamp set to green cardstock die cut with one of the Stitched Fishtail Banner Craft Dies, and foam mounted it below the butterfly.
- Add several Jasper Stone Pearls to the front of the card for the finishing touch!
