Husband Threatens to Leave Over Craft Supply Purchases? – A “Crafty” Card Tutorial

Hello Crafty Friends! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs.   I am back again today with another “crafty” card!  When faced with the age-old ultimatum—“It’s me or the craft supplies!”—this card makes the answer hilariously clear: “we’ll miss you, dear husband… now hand me those foam dots.”

I used the fabulously relatable “Will Work for Craft Supplies” collection along with the tried-and-true “Crafters Gonna Craft” stamp set , both from Kat Scrappiness, to build a background as dramatic as the dilemma.

    🧰 Supplies Used

    • Kat Scrappiness Will Work for Craft Supplies stamps, dies, and coordinating paper pad.

    • Kat Scrappiness Crafters Gonna Craft Clear Stamp Set

    • Frosted Fairyland Sprinkle Mix

    • White cardstock for base

    • Copic markers

     📋 Card Details:

    • Created an A2 top-folding white card base.
    • Adhered a pink patterned paper from the coordinating paper pad and adhered it over the card base.

    • Created a “crafty” background stamping several of the images from the Crafters Gonna Craft Clear Stamp Setonto a blue patterned paper from the same coordinating paper pad and adhered it over the pink layer.

    • Stamped and die cut the wife image from the stamp set and colored it with Copic Markers.
    • Stamped the sentiment onto her sign.

    • Foam mounted the wife image to the front of the card.
    • Added several sprinkles from the Frosted Fairyland Sprinkle Mix for the finishing touch!

So the next time your significant other questions your “tiny little order” (read: 3 lbs of patterned paper), just show them this card and smile sweetly. And if they still don’t get it? Well, as the saying goes… “don’t let the cutting mat hit you on the way out.”
