November Card Challenge – Pumpkin Patch

Hi everyone, it’s Lisa and I am back again with another Kat Scrappiness monthly challenge!

I want to thank everyone who participated in our October challenge. We had 37 wonderful entries and we are so happy that you are sharing your cards with us!

The random winner from last month is:  Michelle B with her fall themed card.

    Congrats Michelle B!

And now let’s get on with our November challenge!

When I look around the internet lately it’s gone pumpkin crazy!!  It makes sense with Fall being here and the decorations and recipes all call for those wonderful orange FRUITS!

Yes that’s right, a pumpkin is a fruit! I’m sure some of you knew that already but it’s an interesting fact I thought I’d share:

pumpkin is a fruit, because it matches this dictionary definition of “fruit”: The edible plant structure of a mature ovary of a flowering plant, usually eaten raw. But the same entry goes on to add: Many fruits which are not sweet, such as tomatoes, beans, green peppers, etc., are popularly called vegetables.

And that is your daily dose of trivia! You’re welcome!

I’d love everyone to meet me in the Pumpkin Patch this month!  Let’s see your pumpkins!  You can get creative with your orange fruits and pair them with some cute critters, you can make them any color or size and you can even make them your background! All we ask is that you have at least one pumpkin somewhere on your card.

So go ahead and get out your pumpkin stamps and dies and play along with us!  You just might get lucky and win a $25 gift certificate to KatScrappiness.com!

While you do not “have” to use our products, we would love to see how you incorporate your Kat Scrappiness stamps and/or dies in your project!

***We only have 2 easy requirements to play along this month:***

    1. Use at least one pumpkin on your card or project.

    2. Please remember to link back to this challenge in your entry.

That’s it! Easy peasy right? Now let’s see your PUMPKINS!

To enter, submit a photo of your project below (Click on the “Add Your Link” button) and we will randomly pick the winner at the end of the month.

Good Luck from Kat Scrappiness, and we’ll see you at The Pumpkin Patch!

Hi everyone, AJ here wishing you a happy Monday and showing you a card I made with some fun products in Kat’s shop!  I started with this fun sentiment in the brand new set by #Newton’sNookDesigns called #Fall-ingForYou  I stamped it out in #VersaFineOnyx using my #Stampoholic to get a really dark, clear impression!  Then I heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I fussy cut the pumpkin and coffee cup from the same set and copic colored them.  I ran the sentiment through my Big Shot using #KatScrappinessStitchedOval dies.  I die cut one size larger and #distress inked the edges in #TeaDye

My background papers are from #EchoPark #FallIsInTheAir and I added the #PumpkinSwag by #CheeryLynnDesigns  Lastly I finished off with a pretty wood button, some twine by LawnFawn and sequins from the Kat Scrappiness #Aww-tumnMix.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my project, the items I used on this card are linked below.  Thanks for stopping by the Kat Scrappiness Blog today and have a great week!
